springdragon and I will no longer be sharing a livingspace in a couple of months. We can't seem to coexist peacefully, so the best course of action is to remain friends but not share a roof. I think we'll all be happier this way after everything is said and done.

As far as I know, we're still friends and so on. This will make things better.

Sorry to everyone who was hoping to see me at Oklacon. Some things came up and it's just better that I stay home to tend to them, I wish I could have gone. My roommate  springdragon is going, though!

Meanwhile, I'll be working on commissions I've already got queued, so hopefully my queue will be empty soon.

Beyond that, I've been working on some more traditional art stuff, and I've really taken a liking to watercolor! Some of that should appear in my gallery before long. =D

Some unpleasant things have been going on in my life lately, and I'm trying to not let them get me down. I'm trying out a theory that what you broadcast is what you'll bring in, so I'd like some tips on how to stay positive even if you're starting to feel like hope is lost. I need to be able to find that in myself, so if anyone has any tips, that'd be great.

My uncle died today. He had emphysema, and rapidly declined today just kind of suddenly. He is survived by my aunt and my cousin, and they're both in bad shape. I'm going to spend the next few days making sure they're okay, and taking care of final arrangements.

Outstanding commissions will be delayed until I can complete funeral arrangements, please note me if you need to discuss this with me.

Every year, every single year since I turned 18, sometime in fall or winter at least one person in my family or a close friend dies. Sometimes it's two. We're at like five years and eight deaths at this point. Really sick of this.

So, things happened.

Things like taking two cats to the vet twice each within a week, things like my car's timing belt finally giving out and destroying the alternator in the process.

Money is tight right now. If anyone wants a commission, now's a good time for it. I hate to ask like this, but it'd be helpful. I'll scan in some traditional stuff I've been working on too, in case any of you are interested in stuff like that.

Note to self: You still need to register for Oklacon and CPFC before Sept 1. DO IT.

Wow, so I've been off the radar for a long, long time.

Some things happened, good things, bad things, all of them majorly disruptive.

First, I've been fighting through a lawsuit for the last three years because a company managing my finances lost me a lot of money due to negligence, and I've now got the signed and finished settlement agreement in front of me. It includes a gag order, so I can't elaborate, but it's over and done, finally.

Second, I've gained a lovely new partner in my life: . He, , and I are now a happy triad, and I love those boys more than anything in the world.

I was diagnosed with a chronic illness. This, primarily, is why the long absence and lack of communication. Until recently, I've been mostly too sick to work. Those of you to whom I owe commissions, I'll be contacting you shortly regarding either a refund or a completion, thank you for your amazing patience with me.

We moved to Denver, CO, recently, and we love it here. Everyone is so much nicer, and everything about it is healthier. We live in the same complex as , , and a few other delightful furs! I'll still be attending cons in the midwest though, especially now that I've been able to get help for the aforementioned problems.  springdragon and I plan to attend for 2013 CPFC and Oklacon, and for next year we plan to attend Furry Fiesta, Wild Nights, and RMFC. Hope to see you there!

In other news, once I clear my backlog, I plan to open digital and traditional commissions. I have some new stuff to upload.

Every winter, since 2008 or even earlier, someone important to me has died. This winter, I thought we'd be okay because it was my uncle, a repeat offender child molester, this past November. I was wrong.

One of my very best friends lost her mother late last night. No one has any clue what happened. She was found early Thursday morning, unconscious and not breathing in bed by her fiance. She flatlined, was revived, and then died late that evening. She didn't regain consciousness at all through that, and was unable to breathe on her own. She was young, early 50s if memory serves.

She was another mother to me. She'll be sorely missed.

Please, cherish every life you find yourself to be part of. I know I sound scripted, but I'm on autopilot.

Jesus Christ, I feel like this is something I shouldn't be getting used to.

This is kind of a vent journal.

I'm at my mother's estate sale, and it's been going well. While I was in the garage, it kind of occurred to me that this is pretty much the last time I'm going to be in the house I've grown up in, and this will be the last time I see most of the things we had in our home.

I thought I was kind of over this, but I guess not. I'm kind of a mess right now. Dad tells me this whole thing has been kind of cathartic for him, but I just don't share that sentiment. Being here triggers some kind of strange ptsd, I think. I keep remembering the sleepless nights caring for her, and the smell of bleach and ammonia everywhere, and all the blood.

I don't know. I'll probably delete this later, I just needed to vent.

Was pretty uneventful. No crazy drunken stories for you guys yet, sorry.

Uh. Well, Dad's cancer is gone. Uh... I've been crazy sick for a couple weeks? Had an abscess in my left tonsil. Got it drained, and I'm on antibiotics after ten days of incompetent doctors and ER visits and no insurance. Feeling better, but I'm gonna need surgery.

It's too hot out. :c

I think that's pretty much it? I dunno, I might be a little hung over. I feel kinda bad, don't think my painkillers jived well with the drink last night. Bedtime. x:

Dad has skin cancer and it's pretty bad, apparently. On his face, a few inches under his left eye, on the cheek. We've tried to get rid of it before but it keeps coming back.

Scared to fucking death.

I'm excited for my good friend  springdragon to come visit me next weekend. I've been seeing a chiropractor to fix my spine - it's helping tons, really happy about that. Springtime is here. The last frostdate soon approaches. I'm due a raise at work. I have severe eyestrain from reading over 12 consecutive hours. (The Hunger Games trilogy was my latest book binge.)

Considering opening sketch commissions. Nothing too fancy, something cheap to help me get better with figure drawing too. Thoughts?

I'm being made to clear out my late mother's house this week. I can't stand it. I keep getting caught up in "Mom was the last person to touch this, she put this here, mustn't move it."

I hate this. I just want to be done with it. It's killing me to go back and go through everything. The house smells like her, feels like home, but it's not, not without her. Her room and bathroom smell like bleach and blood and medication. I hate it so much.

...was awesome. :3 I roomed with  springdragon, and we had many adventures involving communist uniforms and normies and catness. My bestie, Izzy, got to go chill with ALSDEAD in their hotel room - she apparently partied pretty hard. =D Panels were great, cosplay was incomplete, food was good (thank you, Spring! He packed me bentos!) and overall, probably one of my very favorite cons. x3 Yeeeee.

The SAI saved ones are brighter, which is what they look like when I have them open in photoshop from the .psd. When I save them as .png, they get dark and grainy and discolored. How do I fix it? :C

My mom is dead. No one in this town will speak to me, thanks to a certain group of people I once called friends. My dad won't do his taxes, so I can't go back to school this semester. My loans will come due. I'm working at a job I love but it doesn't pay much.

I'm in a bad place, like this, and I'm afraid I can't get out. I don't know how to get out. I need help. Fuck, how did things get so bad?
