Given recent events and the site's owner, and the evil he's accomplished and seeks to continue accomplishing using that site, I've emptied out my Twitter. All tweets gone, all posts deleted, account locked. I won't be deleting it, if only to prevent someone from potentially trying to steal my identity, but my mental health is already improved and my screen addiction isn't as bad. I regret not doing it earlier!

That being said, Twitter introduced me to some incredible folks in this fandom, and not all of them are on FurAffinity. Any and all of my mutuals are welcome to stay in touch on other platforms. I'm on Bluesky as youcrazyforthis.bsky.social, obviously I'm here and I can be found on Telegram and Discord under not-all-that-hard-to-figure-out usernames.

My current writing hiatus has left me itching to be more creative, so here's an upcoming project in November: JT's Thanks and Giving. Instead of taking commissions, I'll be accepting submissions from the public for short stories for themselves or their friends - all you need to do is tell me why you're thankful for the furry community, the fatfur community, your friends, etc.

This entry form will be up through November 5, which is a specific date with certain relevance, and as such I'll begin working on these stories starting November 6, continuing through November 30. I am making no promises on length or number of stories I will write, though I will favor shorter 1-2k word concepts to pump out as many of these as possible.

In short: this community is great. I want to give back, and the best way I can do that is create content for people. I hope this project is a success!

Please submit ideas during those periods only; if you come across my application during a time when I am not open for commissions and submit an idea, it is unlikely I will select it.

If you've seen my page, you know what I write. I specialize in weight gain and fat fur stories, and different elements come out in my work as well - fit to fat, magic, binging, gluttony, things along those works. I've also done some slob, mental readjustment, hypnosis, domination, feederism, etc. I can write anything from all-audiences to adult.

Submitting a form places your idea into a pool from which I plan to pull from at my leisure and availability. I do this work in addition to my primary career and as such my time to work on commissions is limited, especially at certain points in the year.

I am allowed to reject any idea and will post when my slots are closed; if you do not receive communication from me after an application period ends, please try again during my next opening.

I charge $30 per 1,000 words of content. With more than a decade of professional writing experience under my belt as well as my extensive catalog of past stories, this price reflects that experience.

If I accept your pitch, I'll get in touch with you, develop an outline and start working. I take payment at the conclusion of finishing a story and in return I promise complete transparency about where I'll be in the writing process. I write my work in Google Docs and provide you with a link, so you can read along as I write and point out any edits or changes you’d like me to make before the story gets too long to make adjustments. I accept payments through PayPal.

I pride myself on being open and fast in my work as well as transparent; in most cases, you can expect a 2-3 week turnaround depending on length, though my responsibilities IRL and through my employment may cause delays. I do not charge until I am ready to start working on your story and only work on one piece at a time.

Without this website my life would be completely different, almost entirely for the worse. We lost someone whose legacy is giving us all a platform where we could be ourselves and come together. It feels odd to mourn someone I never met, but the impact he left is immeasurable. I hope he’s at peace.

Hey all, just a brief update, after completing three private commissions in the last few weeks I’ll be working on two auction stories. I’m in communication with multiple talented artist friends to potentially make these stories into art/story auctions, which I think is a first for me. I’m hoping to get these done by the end of August, hopefully sooner.

Then I’ll probably take a few more private comms! Trying to find a way to keep my work accessible to a wide audience while also recognizing I have a decade+ of professional writing experience and charging rates reflecting that experience.

I’m very happy to be writing this here and when I can and wanted to hear what people are interested in. An auction YCH? Regular commission openings? Shorter-length, lower-cost vignettes? I’m interested to hear feedback whether it’s for commission work, auctions, personal stories or just whichever characters you’d like to see me fatten up!

I’m trying to get into a writing rhythm and am considering taking a few commissions around the end of September and into October.

These days I’m generally charging about $24 for 1,000 words (about two pages, three double-spaced). So I’d be looking to take several shorter pieces (up to 4-5k words) or one longer piece. I’m also interested in writing a story as part of a story-for-art trade, or potentially trading the story for one half of a cost-equivalent multiple-character art piece, if anyone would be interested in that. Expected story turnaround would be six weeks maximum.

Everyone's favorite red wolf who goes by "youcrazyforthis" will be heading back to Pittsburgh in two-ish weeks for his third Anthrocon! I'm looking forward to a weekend of being surrounded by fur and friends - this winter and spring have been primarily focused on my day job and I'm looking forward to traveling again.

I'll be arriving Thursday early-midday and leaving Sunday afternoon. Some places you'll be able to find me: the "We're Professionals" panel on Saturday morning at 11am with Boozy Badger and Buddy Goodboy; the Fatfur meetup panel Friday at 8 pm; and, if I can find it, the normie bar a block or two away from the con that does karaoke on Friday nights. (I've got a desire to sing "Die Young" by Kesha while wearing my fullsuit after doing Bowie for ANE karaoke!)

Otherwise I'm going to be trying to relax, spending some time away from the con at hotel pools and going out to eat with friends and enjoying the vibes when Pittsburgh gets infiltrated by 10,000 furries. If you see me, give me a shout, and if you want to say hi or meet up, try and get in touch!

Here are some updates from me for August:

-I have two completed stories as parts of trades I'm really excited to post. One's a short-form Lardy Lupine story and one is a longer-form story with JT and a friend. I really enjoyed writing both and am looking forward to the trades being complete after my collaborators complete their sides of the trades (both have been very busy!) I have one other story I'm hoping to write in the next week as part of one more agreed upon trade.

-I will be traveling for a majority of August, including a beach vacation with my boyfriend, house-sitting and dog-sitting for my folks as they go on vacation, and I'll be attending Furrydelphia at the end of the month.

-Once things quiet down on the travel front, I'll be opening up for commissions in the second half of August, as my rent has gone up and I need a few extra bucks to pad out the margins and ensure positive cash flow. As such I'll be posting a second journal shortly regarding my commission prices. I haven't updated them in quite a while and if I'm going to take on the additional burden of IRS reporting I need to make it worth my while. Given that I recently celebrated a decade+ of professional writing in my IRL career I 100% believe this is worthwhile. I understand my commission prices rising may price folks out - I apologize for this.

Enjoy the mini art dump

1) Sometime late this week I'll be opening up for my first YCH auction in a while. It's an 8,000-word story about your character becoming JT's feeder. It's got a spicy subgoal.

2) Once that's done, I'll be revamping my commissions, including a major price hike. I imagine this will price me out for some folks, but I've been writing professionally for a decade, so I feel I've earned it. I've also always underpriced my work up until now, so it evens out. (If I do end up pricing some people out, please commission the many other awesome fandom writers out there. At the end of the day I'm one guy in a sea of talented folks.)

3) Excited to be rooming with a few members of my furry family at Anthrocon in July. Just gotta wash JT before I get on my flight. Can't wait to see folks there, I'll make sure I get to the fatfur meetup this time around.

4) uh there's no four.

I was thinking of writing a few stories in the near future as YCHs. The first would see the YCH become JT’s feeder and blimp him up to kingdom come. The second would see JT become the YCH’s feeder (separate story) and *get* blimped up to kingdom come. Would folks be interested in these?

Not doing any podcast or DJ stuff, just suiting and enjoying my original home city.

I have two ideas playing around, a story that formed after a discussion with my friend Talcott and a second shorter story I'll try to write this weekend when I have free time. I'm hoping I can break the disconnect between me and fatfur writing soon and get back to work. It's very frustrating not having much content to offer - I know we're not supposed to be content-making machines but I really do miss getting to share my ideas for you all to enjoy, and for a good portion of you to spank it to. (I'm not judging.)

I’m looking to get back to writing at some point. What would you like to see from me this year? More YCHs, more commission periods, new strategies? I’d like to hear your feedback

I'm trying to fight a lack of productivity and want to get some rhythm back into my writing, so I'm going to open one commission slot for a story. It'll be written in the next few weeks, definitely done before Christmas and likely well before that. It'll be my usual rate which is currently $15/1,000 words. If you're interested, send me a note before Friday at noon with your commission idea, your ideal story length and any other details you have in mind.

As I'm only filling one slot here, I'll mention that I'm interested in writing a story on the shorter side (under 8k) for this slot and I'll be looking for ideas I'm interested in writing. (Story ideas involving JT and Gemie would be a plus, for instance, and I'd be more likely to take a WG pitch than an inflation one as another example.) Also, as I'm only filling the one slot, I definitely won't get to everyone, so keep your idea around for the next time I'm opening commissions. I expect I'll take a few stories from the period of December 17-January 3 due to a planned holiday vacation.

It’s been a minute.

I’ve been dealing with a variety of stressors IRL continuing to contribute to my writer’s block. That said, I’ll have a new YCH story auction up tomorrow afternoon/evening, with bidding continuing through the weekend. Brief description: Character B wins the lottery jackpot. Years ago, they made a pact with Character A that if they ever won the lottery, Character A would become their feedee. Character A thought it was a joke, but the last laugh will be on Character A’s waistline. The story is mature/adult and features force-feeding, gaining, (over)use of cannabis, weight gain to obesity and immobility and descent into gluttony/food addiction, among other themes. The story is, as written, 13,600 words - one of my longer pieces ever written, so I expect bidding to be high.

That said, once this YCH is done, I will be largely going back on hiatus through the end of the year, as I have accepted an offer to ghostwrite a memoir for a colleague/mentor of mine. This is an incredible career/resume/experience opportunity and I am worried but ready for the challenge. Between this and my day job I will have little time for furry writing and I hope that’s understandable.

So in short: YCH auction up tomorrow, then wolf is on hiatus through end of 2021. I am not on pace to complete my goals entering the year for furry writing but if this year has taught me anything, it’s to prepare for everything, expect nothing and accept change.
