My reel, really need feedback.
Posted 13 years agoWell in class I got 2 months to produce a few things for it..
I'm a little stuck.
I have a few ideas but in not 200% sure about them. What I have in mind
A 3D remake of Mordecai and Rigby 1. from the regular show, debating between toony or somewhat realistic.. 2. A stylized avian charecter like one of the birds you see in Rango, but different culture (No idea what..)
3. I want to do a human charecter with some toony theme to him or her, have no idea where to begin thinking of it..
4. Something scenery based so I can show what I can do with environments..
These are the few ideas I got, one or 2 might get crossed out, one might be something new.. I'd really appreciate some feed back on ideas, I don't want to much furry related stuff.. This is my portfolio and is very important.
Oh, and to any graphic designers out there could help me with my tittle card and ending card is appreciate that. so please, any feedback, thanks. :)

Why do people still call me a kid?
Posted 13 years agoIt kinda gets to me. I hate being considered one of those youth's who still go to higbschool that still haven't fully matured.
I work with people ranging from 19 to 40, after working around a lot of 20 year Olds I believe I have changed a lot maturely.
I am 19 yes, but in my country I count as an adult. I can vote, I can legally buy alcohol, I can drive, and I am studying.
Anyway, my point is, it bugs me. Considering I deal with people older then me, they can be incredibly immature themselves.
I go to my younger friends birthday, he just turned 18, I go to his party and a lot of people from his high school went. They seemed so mind blown I was a year older then all of them! Whole reason they presume so is I don't look 19, I look rather 16 judging by how many who have mistaken my age,
I did a project for a city council, I was working with a few people my age, one guy asked how old was I? You seem so mature, but look young, Atleast that was an acceptance for that situation of how I look, wish it happened more..
I will admit I have my moments, but not as commonly as you think.
Anyway I was thinking, should I remove my age off my profiles? To many people are presumably judging me from this perspective.. :(

Posted 13 years agoFor once in my life can I actually direct something? because I never got such an opportunity, and my college Isn't helping :/ I'm debating to drop out of this shity group and risk working solo or /try/ to get into another one were I can actually get work..
Because seriously.. this group? this girl with "Original character disorder" & her over exaggerated unrealistic character..
It's giving me cancer!

About this charecter in a nutshell: desert alien creature with weird tri slit irises and black, white & purple fur (perfect colors for a desert creature to blend in and keep cool) has these wings on the front arms, can't fly though, she can glide and shit.. (really necessary) has dog like paws & is intelligent but can't speak, oh and heaps of other stupid shit!
the whole plan is to make it look "cute" in real life footage..
All the work I got to do is to make a working fur system, figured out the default maya fur system, found the dynamics break in renderman, no the college doesn't have any other fur systems, gave them 2 options for dynamics and long renders or no dynamics and short renders.
anyway, SHE wants to do all the work on making this character while me and the other gullible idiot sits back and does nothing.
there was so much shit I wanted to change about this creature thing.. But like every other stupid shit with original character disorder, "no no, I must keep it that way to match it with her back story!"
anyway.. I am stuck figuring out a plan B. because I know this group of 3 is going fail this assessment.

Posted 13 years agoWell, recently I used to have a friend, he was a furry, a nice guy and all. I'm not saying who. Maybe if you followed me on twitter you would.
anyway, one day he became a brony, just out of the blue! I admit I didn't like this idea of his at all, so I posted a snarky comment back (my bad) so I managed to fix this problem and fix this altercation we had about it. I fought I fixed this.
Two days latter!
He posted a tweet with link to this picture http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8683995/ saying "well that cahged my opinion fast! saw this, now i have a different opinion on pony haters, if you hate ponies at all, you are not my friend! and there are absolutely no exceptions!"
And he now has this "friend terms and conditions" thing on his page.
I was blocked on everything to his contacts. I didn't question or hesitate, I just deleted him to because he has tuned absolutely bat shit insane! In three bloody days!
Now. There is a reason I don't like bronies. that up there is exactly why! This has happened to me a few times in the past. Some don't like the fact I dislike the show to. Honestly, for there sake I tried to like it. Simply I can't, I found it not in my taste at all.
I don't want to hate the people or the fanbase, but they make it really really fucking hard not to.
so if you're not a stubborn obnoxious brainwashed little shit, by all means, watch the show, I don't care, just don't fucking turkey slap it in my face! Don't try to convince me to like it, it wont work.
So please! if you want to help improve fix your fandoms image, don't get fucking butt hurt by people hating it. every fanbase has it's haters, especially the furry fandom.

Posted 13 years agoWell I get asked a few times about them, I'd like to do them. But there is this thing that makes me feel bad about doing art for money, so I do freebies, the only downside to that is I do this thing were I never get around to finishing freebies and they just pile up in my computer.. :/ when I do commissions I keep delaying them, it usually takes one or two months until I'm finished because I get busy with other things, I feel like I'm not responsible enough, I ow probably 32 pictures.. Maybe I should manage my time better, dedicate a day to art each weak, I'm not sure. XD
anyway, if I offer free art please don't get over excited, I know exactly what that is like when someone offers art but hasn't gotten around to it. Sorry if I haven't gotten anything done for anyone. :>

Posted 13 years agoYeah I'm whining about the same nonsense a lot of furs go through... Every person I've talked to so far has either turned me down or already taken because I was to slow.. Or they are just not interested because they have been used up...
Now I know there are people out there that are single, maybe much longer then me, but most of these people have already had the proper experience, I still haven't had one. Most I had was 2 distant relationship and they both asked me and both left me in the end, they are still friends..
Anyway, I've been trying my luck with at least 6 different people, all the same situations, tonight was my last attempt and found out I was a month slow, and this person I had a lot in common with.. I can't understand how I keep failing.. All I want is someone artistic, okay grammar and similar chemistry even a bloody bird for once!, all I really want is to know there is someone on this planet that can love me. :(
First person I tried for, I literally changed a lot about myself just to impress her, I put in so much commitment, then I got desperate.. And that's key to fucking things up.
Recently I tried a furry dating site, every nearby girl (Sydney) have been inactive for a few months, every distant girl they just don't reply to me at all yet they talk to some stupid fox with bad grammar, so I checked the male box, I get 5 different guys from Australia just like said stupid fox with bad grammar. So this website is crossed out, usless, don't even bother with furrmate.com, it's garbage.

Need some computer help.. (RESOLVED!)
Posted 13 years agoanyone know what I could do to free up space in my windows C drive? it's only got 60GB SSD that is dedicated to windows only, I fought it was app data which only is 11GB, so I doubt, windows files are only 19.7GB that makes 30GB used program files 4GB including x86, but what on earth is the other 25.8 GB getting eaten up by? I install my software & file on other HDDs 4.7TB worth there, I have a suspicion it's system recovery files that are hidden, reason why I want to solve this problem is that photoshop keeps giving me memory errors, can't be the ram, I got 12GB of that and I'm only using 50% of that. :/ please help.. :<

Anyway, an update! I am out of my art block, I just am drawing like mad in every bit of my free time! I'm trying to fill out those overdue pictures one at a time starting with the oldest which is going very well, since I learnt a few new things from it.
I do have a few long overdue birthday gifts to finish myself for others, which have a top pioraty.

Collaborate so and so, I had one before but our friendship went down hill, anyway I just felt like asking, if you are looking for the same feel free to ask :)

Posted 13 years agoYou all act like he is gone for ever! I can tell you now and for the last time, he isn't dead. He is just a secondary now, I didn't want to get rid of him, and withing the last 3 years I had him there has been major design changes, he is finalized now, same with my magpie.
My bird is my main identification now as a fursona and it has been like that for a year. :>
I do have some unfinished pics of my lizard plus some commissions I got drawn.

I can't get it out of my head, I don't hate it but there is something I don't like about it, of you want to know I just don't like the style, so I'm planning on going on a hiatus with my original stuff. I'm just going to use the time to work on it and stylize it more, I'll still be finishing off commissions, trades, collabs, (collab has priority.) And they will be submitted, I've been pretty busy the past 2 weeks, I had to rearrange a little in my room and my pc had a big upgrade, finally got that back on its feet, anyway, happy late new year guys, my goal is to change a little, but not in a way you should be concerned about.
Lastly sorry for neglecting this site, I haven't really read other peoples journals and checking submissions, I'll try and get back online soon!

Firstly I finally got a new job, I'm a bar tender at a family restaurant has pretty good pay to and it's pretty easy, (the place is called out back jacks for those Australians who know) it used to be a lone star but they got bought out but meh XD only downside to this I'll be pretty busy, still trying to finish that fucking art queue below, I'm afraid I'll fail to complete it this Holiday but I will eventually, I won't charge anyone until I get it done, I have been pretty unmotivated this weak, I got really ill this Christmas, in fact I had to go to hospital on Christmas day because I had a very nasty stomach bug, I couldn't stop throwing up..
anyway in response to my last journal I got my PC a new SSD. Anyway late merry Christmas and a happy new year. :)

Posted 14 years agoWell my C drive is dying, it's still working but it's on a thread now, I'm not so panicked because everything is on the other HDD's but right now I'm looking for a new drive that is very high speed yet durable, I'm not so good with this, and asking for recommendations of high speed reliable drives of any sort that will last, what I got now is a reagular, western didgital 500GB it's all I could afford at the time, Must cost below $200, and must be above 100GB, any good support gets a free drawing. ^v^
Edit; for got to add, is there anyway I can duplicate this drive so I don't have to reformat and reinstall windows+my software? art Que for everything, read if your expecting something! :D

then I got a hot colab with
jackrow which I'm still pending for a reply about the line art, I have seen the sketch and it looks amazing, thanks again for doing this man, you guys should watch him if you haven't,
I'm hoping to put a lot of detail into this
secondly, I nearly finished my client work in college, this is why I'm so hold up atm, plus motivation since I got a lot,
well, I need a little cash atm, I know this journal will get ignored by a lot, I'm hoping next weakened I can do them, but the good news is, I'm dropping the price, but only for the vector stuff like http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6332764 I'll give away stuff like this for $10 :D maybe $15 for a simple BG like http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4276228/
plus I'm doing coloring commissions, so I you commissioned inks or sketches I'll color it with renders lighting like I do in my higher detailed work, I found away to do it a lot faster with a nice out come, depending on detail of the pic no BG, I'll do it for $15 with a BG from simple to complex is ranged +$5 to $20

Posted 14 years agowell I've seen this thing where people are doing coloring commissions, I'm not such a fan of doing line art but I have a ball when I'm coloring, so maybe I can give out some rendered lighting paintings on peoples line art for a cheap price, depending on the size just ask ^^
