Well, the finches love the Tepin peppers. They stripped all the ripe ones off the pepper plants in about two hours.

I'll have to watch the last bush and grab the peppers pretty much as they turn.

Hopefully the birds will spread the seeds *everywhere* for next season :)

I was looking forward to using them in soups, too.

Dragon hand paw molds are finished, popped open and cleaned. I'm running a quick one-shot pour of black latex to get any bits that I missed - I'll pull that in the morning when it's dry.

Feh. Coming down with something - headache, achy joints, itchy eyes ... I'll still have photos of the paw sculptures up tonight, though, and will start molding them tomorrow. I'll open up for pre-orders then, since you'll be able to mostly see what the final paws will look like.

First, I am working on the Dragon Hands. I'll be doing pre-orders for them (like I did for the dragon feet), and will have more details this weekend after FA is fully functional again.

I'm also working on beast-style hands sized down to a normal human hand (instead of the enormous hands the existing beast paws were made to fit).

Looks like there will be another species hands & feet in the works after that, but those are still in talks with the (very patient) client.

Sorry if I've been quiet lately. DarkFang had a hernia operation a couple of days ago on an outpatient basis (who can afford a hospital room, even with insurance?). He's recuperating now, but certainly not up to speed, and I've been his in-house aide in the meantime. And, next week, he's going in for a root canal.

Still, it all needed to get done, and sooner rather than later.

I've given him a wireless doorbell - and I'm carrying around the chimes - so he can call for me when I'm in the shop or otherwise out of earshot.

Well, a lot of smoke in the air here, anyway, from the Aspen fire. It's hundreds of miles away, but weather conditions have resulted in the San Joaquin valley capturing and holding a lot of the smoke. Air quality is shown as high moderate, but I'm sensitive to something in the smoke. Ten or fifteen minutes exposure to outside air, and I feel like I've just blasted through a pack of cigarettes - scratchy eyes and throat, headache, etc.

Of course, the workshop is pretty much just unfiltered, outside air, so I'm having to take breaks.

You can see the haze in the air in just a hundred yards or so. Sheesh.

Found out that a house inspector is coming by Monday (part of us re-fi-ing the house) so this weekend turned into doing all the little fix-its that we've been letting slide.

I'll be putting the dragon feet up in the catalog tomorrow. I just finished putting the images together for it, and want to write the blurbs after a bit of sleep :)

Wow (no pun intended), the two guilds I'm part of have both been decimated. Both were pushing 500+ members back at the launch of Panderia. Now, Horde-side is down to around 95, and Alliance-side down to around 115. Horde-side MotD is a "time to move on" post with a side of saying the guild will still be here and may spool back up ... someday.

Nobody was online in either guild, other than myself.

I know I haven't been playing much WoW due to time - and using what game time that I do have playing GW2 - but I'm still surprised.

For the second time in my life, I passed a kidney stone. This one was apparently smaller than the first one I had, as it passed without a trip to the ER, after about three hours.

New stuff includes hair/fur for cycles rendering and dynamic topology sculpting.

I haven't had time to do more than touch my characters on WoW to keep 'em alive and in their guilds - and apparently a lot of other folks aren't even doing that, since the two guilds I'm in (one in each faction) have dropped from 500+ members each to under 200 each.

I do still play one night a week or so in GW2.

No con crud, no flu - but I do have a common cold. Right now I'm at the stage where I have no energy, and my nose is home to a waterfall of mucus. It's actually been several years since I've had a cold, and I'd forgotten all the joys of having one.

Still, it's better than having the flu :)

Balancing the books for last year - not our best year, since I was down for like three months at the start of the year, but not our worst, either. All prep for getting the taxes done (joy-joy).

FC was fun this year! For several reasons I was only able to attend one day, but I made the most of it. Didn't meet up with everyone I wanted to, but at least had a few minutes with a lot of friends :)

Psycho Donuts *and* Lee's Sandwiches (Vietnamese sandwiches) on the same day - omnomnom ...

Managed to snag one piece in the art show, too (which I'll have to pay DF back for - he had to pick it up today since I wasn't there).
