Christmas 2015 wish list (share yours!)
Posted 10 years agoIt's that time again, so let's see everyone's lists! I might be able to grant a wish for someone, as can the next person! Now, this year I really had no idea what I even really wanted, and so it may not seem very interesting I guess..
My list:
- My Chemical Romance hoodie (2x) - I actually always need clothes as most of mine are from middle school or just used, I don't have much for warm clothes either, so I really wanted a hoodie this year (it doesn't really have to be mcr, I just really want a hoodie so I can stay warm.
-plushies - always something I can't really resist :(
- Subscription boxes? - I like Japan Crate, if that helps, but like I just really enjoy mystery stuff, so it's the best surprise to know that no one but the person who packed it knows what's in it.
- steam games, or games in general. I'm not sure how it works, but some I've really wanted would be a PC version of Skyrim, Holy Potatoes: a weapon shop, minecraft, or I guess just any game on general. I'm working on streaming to hopefully make some extra bill money to help out, so a variety of games is good.
-Pokemon stuff - yep. As always, still obsessed with Pokemon. Like.. Anything Pokemon is always exciting.
-language stuff - this is practical I guess, I am currently studying Japanese, Chinese and Korean for myself, minoring in Spanish for college.
Food - wish I could say I'm kidding but no one knows how much I love food. Like snacks, or especially Menraku ramen.
Uh, really though, I just like surprises, and I'm so happy whenever I receive something, I'm always so grateful. So I mean if you might think of me, definitely know I'm thankful.

Depression / Suicide video
Posted 10 years agoSo, many of you may have heard via Facebook, reddit, or even Twitter. There has been a suicide in the community.
A week or so ago, I was asked to make a video about depression, I haven't done it yet, as I was contemplating how to go about it.
I now know what I'm going to do, and I wanted to get this out to as many people as I can.
I'll be posting my video likely tonight. If anyone has comments, statistics or personal stories they'd like me to include, let me know.
If not, I'm asking anyone who is comfortable with it to also post a video and share the link with me so I can make a master list.
I want to use my network to do something helpful for the community. I know that if we all do a little bit, we can really make a difference. Let's band together and be a force for change, positivity and love.
Together, we can do something good to maybe help someone through tough times, and encourage people to seek help. Let's break down the stigma of depression and let people know it's nothing to be ashamed of. Let's let people know that there are people in this world who really care.

Posted 10 years agoSo today my account was approved as a Youtube Partner. Which means I may finally have a way to make some money. Waiting on a reply back from Scott Cawthon as we speak regarding monetizing FNAF videos, so we'll see.

Updates From Beyond!
Posted 10 years agoFor those who may be curious about my absence, here's some updates to what went on:
- I saved and got a new laptop (mainly for gaming, so I don't kill it so fast) - it's a Lenovo z50-75. I originally upgraded to Windows 10, but it kepts rebooting, so I downgraded again. If I could just get smarter and figure out if I download the drivers before I do windows 10 upgrades, if that would help or not, that would be cool. I liked Windows 10 while I was able to use it.
- I was 'encouraged' by my school to take less classes and switch my major. So instead of 4 classes, I take 3 now, and instead of Education, I'm in marketing now. I fully intend to only use it for promoting things online, so if anyone ever needs marketing, let me know lol.
- I'm on Twitch now too. I'm trying to live my dream of being paid to play video games, and I guess I need around 500 followers/consistent watchers. yuki_ouji is the Twitch name, please feel free to follow me.
- I got married! (in FFXIV) it was beautiful. Video is on Twitch also.
-I started a gaming Youtube channel - Shokora Games. I'm making my way through FNAF games first, then who knows. I have seen myself on camera, I look hideous, but I guarantee that's not my usual appearance, my chair pushes my back forward, so my boobs got in the way and I look like I got many chins. I've been told my first two videos with sound are like watching Ben Stein play video games. I promise they'll get more interesting eventually. Give me a subscribe!
(seriously, it helps towards my life goal of gaming for a living :D)
- I have made a new skype just today, so I can clear up the clutter of people I've never actually spoken to, who just.. like added me and forgot me or something? New skype is shokora.games add me if you like, or if you were on my skype before, and want to be again :D
- I never forgot any of you, promise. It's just been a busy time of a lot happening. My stepdad now has a thing where liquids go into his lungs when he drinks and he chokes on food, so they're working on that. Not sure if I mentioned this, but he was denied both a liver transplant and a heart valve transplant, as they said operating on either has too high of a risk of killing him. His dad (my step grandpa) Also has some bad news. Background story, he used to be a racer, and he did a lot of cool things in his life. At one point, he ended up accidentally inhaling pure ammonia and suffering massive burns to his lungs, and permanently losing his sense of smell. Contrary to popular belief, he can apparently taste very well, he just can't smell. He now has lung cancer and emphysema, attributed to that ammonia exposure. He is trying to decide if he wants radiation treatment or if surgery is a better choice, as the cancer is small enough to be removed via surgery.
-My godparents are still sick, but still alive and kicking. Yay!
-My aunt Agnes died the other day. I am told at the end she didn't remember anyone and could no longer function on her own, and while she had been in a nursing home for many many years, she apparently died of old age. It's pretty sad, as she wasn't very bad to be around.
-Been daydreaming about next March, my golden birthday. I know we can't do much, but I'm really hoping it will be half as special as I dreamed.
- My cousin is now an intern at NASA (he hasn't even graduated college yet, so this is super impressive)
- I saved enough out of my refund to commission a kigurumi for Halloween. Expect much creep factor, and expect no hints until Halloween. Something else is supposed to happen on Halloween. Hm.

Posted 10 years agoSO, it's turning out to be a crappy week for me anyway. Friday is my birthday, and that's fine, but what isn't fine is everything else.
I won 230$ last month, and I'm still fighting to claim it (it is actually legit, I checked thoroughly, I'm just getting the run around) I was going to put half on my card, so I don't have to worry about that for awhile, but I'm still waiting. Add onto that that we have maybe two days worth of food to last us until the 10th of next month, and four people to feed, and I'm beginning to feel like not only will I spend my birthday starving, but I have absolutely no way to fix it. I tried to re-apply a few more places, and got turned down every time.
I'm trying to come up with an idea, and the only thing I can come up with is something I'd rather not do. I'm not asking for anything, nor do I really expect any kind of action. I just thought I'd let everyone know. I'm going to go back to bed now so I can stop thinking about things.

Posted 10 years agoSo.. I'll start by saying I have all three on steam (treated myself to an early b-day present, since I get no party or gifties lol)
I also have FNAF on my phone. So.. Now, some of you may or may not know that the phone app version, each night is around 4 1/2 minutes. It should be less stressful than the steam version since the nights are almost twice as long.
I need some tips for beating night 5. I try to conserve power, I check on freddy and foxy often, foxy not too often though.
My main problems are with Chica disabling the right door. This is problematic as I have been killed by both freddy and foxy due to not being able to bring up the map (auto-kill by Chica or Bonnie when the map is dropped)
Seriously. I've actually been literally one second from beating night 5 only to be killed by freddy or foxy. Also, sometimes, Bonnie moves ultra fast and disables my left door, which is a problem because again, I can't check the map, so I have no idea when foxy will come. It seems some of the sound cues from the steam version are missing.

With that, let's get started!1)I'd really like a violin. 4/4 if possible, but I haven't had one since middle school and I miss it.
2) Incense [any kind] - I just really feel de-stressed when I smell good things.
3) Art. Just any kind of art. NSFW, SFW, adopts, art of my characters, I just would like some art.
4) If anyone were feeling generous, my family is swimming in bills, so even donating a dollar to my paypal would help, right now our main concern is keeping the internet connected so I can do my schoolwork.
5. I really would like the Anime toy fukubukuro, but getting any of these would seriously make my day.
6. A package. You have no idea how few times a year I get the chance to open a package. Some things I like would be clothes [always need clothes] lotion, perfume, treats, pokemon stuff, sanrio, I could really use some gloves, stationary, I like makeup and hair stuff/accessories. I could also really use some labret jewelry or earrings so my holes don't close [standard sizing, not gauged or anything..] If in doubt about what I would enjoy, don't be, it's pretty much impossible for me not to be happy when it comes to opening boxes ;~; <3
7) Letters or christmas cards? Seriously, much like 6, I don't tend to get a lot of mail that isn't just a bill or a junk magazine. This seriously would brighten my day.
8) I want my stepdad and my godfather to feel better. I know that they're both ill with things that will eventually take their lives, but I want them to feel at least better for a little while. I don't want to see them hurting.
9) Surprised? I have no other real wishes. Honestly, if I had to say anything else, just pass this and other journals around and do what you can! Have a safe and happy holiday season, and go into next year with a good attitude and do your best.

Can I borrow your art?
Posted 12 years agoI am looking to practice drawing multiple character poses, adult poses, muzzles and other such posing.
I guess what I am asking for is someone [or several people] who wouldn't mind lending me some of their are to practice with.
I'll be blunt here. I am going to trace them first, then work towards shape outlines, and keep practicing until I can draw them without. That is my intention with this request.
I however, will make the following promises:
-I will not claim the work to be mine ever.
-I will not post them to any art site, if posted anywhere.
-If I DO post them anywhere, it would be only in one circumstance: When I attempt to freehand the piece, I may upload to scraps, WITH full credit to the original artist, and only to get that artists feedback on how I did, and what, if anything can be improved further. Once feedback is received, I would remove the piece entirely. If it is against FA policy, I would be happy to upload to Flickr or some place to link to the artist for said feedback, and then remove it entirely.
[b]If you're curious as to why I make this request, here's the reason[/b]: I have been perusing ED lately [for lulz, purely] but some of the threads and comments on certain entries got me thinking. Sure, I could be like so many others and not bother to try and improve my art at all, or even just outright steal and copy the art I like. But why ruin my chances of becoming respected and have real friends? I don't want to be 'That person who is infinitely shitty in their art, doesn't listen to anyone's critique, and just blatantly steals shit' I want to be 'That person who was okay to start with, but decided that they really wanted to make efforts to improve and become really good at their passion for art.'
What else do I plan to do to improve?
A long time ago, I went to the FA forums for help getting better with my art. I received a lot of feedback, that I guess at the time, I wasn't ready to hear. I admit that fully. I was butthurt, as a person who has been drawing for 20+ years, I assumed I was getting really good. I thought people were picking on me. [I actually AM a person with Asperger's, and I admit also that social cues are not my strong suit. I can't tell the difference between constructive criticism and utter sarcasm/teasing online, sure.] That's not even a valid excuse for why I was butthurt, just something that aided in it. I even got advice from Admins. After awhile, I took to heart a lot of the things they suggested. I like to believe that my art has indeed improved, even just a little. So in addition to learning from tracing > shape outlining > freehanding, I fully intend to keep attempting to draw from real life, and practice shapes on their own, and textures. I don't often if ever post my practicing, because I like to keep my gallery clear from clutter, and to be hoeest, I'm really ashamed that I feel like I have to go back to the basics just to get better. I just feel like the people who felt like I was WORTH WATCHING deserve to be proven right. They deserve to see that I am putting forth effort and doing the best I can to get better.
TL;DR, please leave me a comment if you're alright with me using your art for practice, and be assured I'll take every precaution to make sure you know I will not steal your hard work and effort. I merely want to improve.
If anyone else would be so kind to donate some pictures to my cause, I would be forever grateful. I don't feel comfortable walking around my very small town and taking pictures of people. People here are way too paranoid about what I would do with those pictures, since everyone knows everyone's business. I want to practice a more realistic style as well. For certain things, I can draw with real objects [ie, my BJD, food on the table, trees outside, etc] but for people, I don't want to just practice with trying to draw with pictures of animals and weird stock photos [seriously, have you seen how unnatural some of them look?] To be honest, a fursuit picture, or a real picture would help either way. I will also be willing to post up my practice works to show that I am legitimately putting effort into getting better.
I honestly love and respect everyone who I have watched and who has watched me, everyone here has been so great and kind to me, it's really touching. Thank you again.
I guess what I am asking for is someone [or several people] who wouldn't mind lending me some of their are to practice with.
I'll be blunt here. I am going to trace them first, then work towards shape outlines, and keep practicing until I can draw them without. That is my intention with this request.
I however, will make the following promises:
-I will not claim the work to be mine ever.
-I will not post them to any art site, if posted anywhere.
-If I DO post them anywhere, it would be only in one circumstance: When I attempt to freehand the piece, I may upload to scraps, WITH full credit to the original artist, and only to get that artists feedback on how I did, and what, if anything can be improved further. Once feedback is received, I would remove the piece entirely. If it is against FA policy, I would be happy to upload to Flickr or some place to link to the artist for said feedback, and then remove it entirely.

Art stuff and Contest Updating

donyakavetta for getting me my first Alpacasso/Arpakasso plushie <3
and those arts of the 9 character headshots I did.
In case everyone thinks I'm being a slimy scammer, I promise I'm not. I haven't had time to work on anything with the semester start. All of my classes are going easy on homework except Human Relations. Literally something lengthy has been due the same day, every day. Like.. my first assignment on the first day was due by 11:59 pm same day. I woke up at 3pm, and I take about an hour to wake up. so I was ready to go by 4pm, however, the assignment [same as the one I had to do in the same class last semester;~:] was a giant essay about a time [or ongoing period] where I was at my best as a person. I had issues with it last semester, due to crushingly low self-esteem. So, I sat and sat and sat, and thought really hard, before asking my family what they thought. I then bullshitted my way through 3 pages, starting at 8pm [yes, it took THAT long to come up with what to write], and managed to finish it at 10:30pm.
I figured, 'Now, I'll have a week or so til the next assignment' since most classes give you a week to finish the work. Nope. Next day, ANOTHER essay about a 5 PART VIDEO FROM THE FRICKIN' 70's, a 2 hour special. Due at 11:59 pm. got it done easily, because I remembered the videos from last semester. Figured NOW I get my week, right?
Next Day: Grade 15 people's homework, AND reply to 5 classmates' post. Due 11:59 pm tonight. REALLY!? Why ;~;.
Figured I'd get a break? Nope. Gotta work on Chicago Style Citations. ;~;.
So, as you see, I have been slammed with homework, and I still need to apply for a proctor for my math class AND start all my homework for that class for the THIRD time. =/. 1st time I took it, I got a lot of it done, minus exams, because my frickin' proctor decided to wait until the last month of classes to accept my form. Heard back from my school. Refund is coming likely next week. Prizes will be bought on the day of receiving it. Feel free to begin working on designs. I'll post pictures of the prizes when I get them. The BJD will likely take the longest to arrive. So as soon as I post up that I've paid for the prizes, expect at least 30 days before it arrives. May find some other prizes as well. Depends on how much I have to offer when I finish paying for current prizes, and buying stuff to help the house.

So, I was on a social networking site ages ago [since quit, forgot to delete profile] I find this letter in my inbox from a dude who is almost 60.
well your pretty even if you don't show much of yourself....my profile says, I worship as a Jehovah's Witness but not recognized as one, I want a person open minded to learn so can do with me, www.jw.org/en is web siteone can learn & we make the best husbands and fathers as we follow the Bible & Christ Jesus as our head. I'm not so pleased with social networks, if secure private and no opposite sex on them or shared with my partner then maybe cause they are dangerous web sites.. But I am strict to no guy friends or men opposite sex for my woman. Try finding any good man that tolerates that, all that do want sex
Here's my thoughts:
-I listed that I'm only looking for friends.
-I am not prejudice, as my mate also chooses to identify as Jehovah's Witness.
-I specified I'm am Buddhist, not looking to change that. Why is this guy suddenly trying to convert someone he doesn't know [contrary to popular belief, Witnesses rarely ever go door to door, and if you ask them to leave you alone, they will. It's Mormons who normally come to your house and return even if you say to leave.]
-So .. wait.. I can be on social networking, but I can't have male friends?
-WAIT... I can't have ANY male friends, because men only want sex?
-Best husbands and fathers? I don't want children, I am physically incapable of having kids, and I don't really want to get married legally. Besides, if you're pushing 60, you probably can't even get someone pregnant.
Lastly. I may be biologically female, but I identify more as Transgender or Genderqueer. I prefer to be referred to as a male. So.. if I can't be friends with the opposite sex, what would the opposite sex be? Am I not supposed to have ANY friends, because I am pansexual, and might actually be 'tempted' by someone of any sex/gender, and might be seduced into sex?

I contacted my school today [making sure that my financial aid was processed, turns out, no one remembered to reinstate my aid, but it will be done in a few days.] My refund [not sure how much atm] Will be coming in the next two weeks [could be late next week, or the week after, they said]
So..
I thought.. For prizes, [these may change by the way. depending on how big my refund is.]
Top prize would be a BJD [my choice though ><]
Then a commissioned tail for second place.
third would be a deck of pokemon cards [brand new]
and fourth place would be a snack pack of some sort.
I think that it will be a design contest. No prompts, just draw whatever, but keep in mind that I plan to keep the winning entries, so please remember this.
To keep things fair, the judging panel will consist of myself, my parents, my mate, and one or two impartial judges from here.

I'd love it if these were marked though, so I know how to answer, for example:

-Anything Pokemon, Sanrio or Alpacasso/Arpakasso
-Sketchbooks to draw in
-Art supplies
-Copic markers [probably not going to happen, but hey! it doesn't hurt to try <3]

If you would like to enter this, just leave a comment. I will need an even number of people for this, but in the event of an odd number, I will participate, so that everyone has a chance to get something.
So.. I'll leave this up until the 10th, and then, I will use a random # generator to assign pairs, and note everyone with the details of what people are after in the trade. You have all month to finish your piece, but you can upload it anytime.
You just link to whoever you got, and let them know.
Rules

I get a list of people once a month, and pair them off to do art for each other? I know that so many people are broke lately, but really want art, I think this is a great way to give and receive art all year round, of course there would be rules, like.. it has to be completed by the end of the month, you have to put effort into it, and if you fail to complete your piece, you get blacklisted from trades in the future, at least until I feel you could complete a trade? Anyone interested?

My grandma also used to send me a present too, but for the longest time since my grandpa died, she has barely been able to afford the craphole house she lives in, like holes in the roof so big animals get in, her room floods when it rains/snow etc.] So I am not getting anything this year from anyone, so..
