zootopia and feels
Posted 9 years agoA bit late writing this, I watched it two days ago, but I highly recommend this movie, it was great though *slight spoilers* one scene really hit me hard for a few reasons. The flashback scene with Nick Wilde and the muzzle really brought out some strong emotions in me. I dont keep it hidden why I feel strongly, but I dont like to show it either. Just seeing the fear in his face, terrified, betrayed, confused, all those emotions at once.
There was a nightmare I had years ago. i lived on a small chicken farm with my mom, dad, and one of my brothers. In the dream i woke up and decided to go for a stroll outside, when i was outside i walked along a small county road. During that stroll i ran into a talking fox and soon afterword i met his family, himself, the vixen, and their three fox cubs. We became great friends and i came back to visit them often. But eventually my parents found out that i knew where the foxes were, so they gave me a gun and told me i had to kill them to protect the livestock. So i went to the den and told them what my parents said. After the story the father fox lowers his head and tells me to do as i must because he doesn't want me to get in trouble. That is where the dream literally blacks out, or my mind has blocked it out and left darkness in that spot. When the dream started up again they were all dead, blood was everywhere, i can still vividly see their mangled bodies, especially the 3 fox cubs. Every time i remember the dream it tears me up inside. I have had the dream twice, the first time was when I was around eight. I have promised myself that when I get a pet fox I will give it the best life I can, and do everything I can to protect it.
Years later, though I still dont have a fox, I have planned a lot, and thought about the best and worst possible scenarios. One of the worst case scenarios was that, what if someone filled a false police report and had the fox taken from me and put down? Though I feared it, In my mind I thought it would never actually happen. Then one day it did happen to someone else's fox. Vader the fox was ripped away from his home, after a false bite report, likely confused and scared, before he was put down.
During that scene in Zootopia, I almost lost it, I can't stand to see, hear or think about foxes being hurt or in distress. So seeing him like that, that look of fear and confusion in his face, it hit me really hard.

anyone really, though since most of my friends will be in the Artist Ally so i will be wondering.
Are there any panels you might be attending?
a few, i want to do the poker game again, it was fun even though i am horrible i was able to hold my own for a bit. Also if i get the time i want to do he dance competition, though i cant dance i want to try, Live to the fullest and have fun. I also want to go to one of the charities panels and talk to them a bit about exotic ownership. I will also be hitting up the assassins creed panel.

Thanksgiving Journal (late)
Posted 13 years agotechnically thanksgiving is over for me now, but i had work so :P
this year has been pretty good, i keep meeting new local furs thanks to lordfenrir (awesome at running meets) though if it wasn't for 
inkpawz and 
kirinafa i would have never went to my first fur meet in December of last year. so for that i owe all of them greatly.
in the past it was only like me and two other friends, that was the extent of my social life out side of school. (some of you met my best friend loren aka trogdor917 at the mongolian grill and BBQ) because of everyone i talk to in the fandom it has helped me a lot.
my life could be better, but im happy and thats the important part. so im thankful for all of my friends, my job, my family, everything in general.

why i believe i like foxes (warning rant/ramble kinda sad)
Posted 13 years agoThe thing that started it all for me was a dream. well more of a nightmare. a bad nightmare...
In this dream, i lived on a small farm with my mom dad and my brother. In the dream i woke up and decided to go for a stroll outside, when i was outside i walked along a small county road. During that stroll i ran into a talking fox and soon afterword i met his family, himself, the vixen, and their three fox cubs. We became great friends and i came back to visit them often. But eventually my parents found out that i knew where the foxes were, so they gave me a gun and told me i had to kill them to protect the livestock. So i went to the den and told them what my parents said. After the story the father fox lowers his head and tells me to do as i must because he doesn't want me to get in trouble. That is where the dream literally blacks out for a min or my mind has blocked it out and left darkness in that spot. When the dream started up again they were all dead, blood was everywhere, i can still vividly see their mangled bodies, especially the 3 fox cubs.
Every time i remember the dream it almost brings me to tears. I have had the dream twice, once when i was 9 or 10 and again when i was 12, and i started to really like foxes at the age of 14. Maybe subconsciously i feel i owe them or something now.
I was linked to a site where i found a shirt that got to me. http://thrdl.es/p/2892 The shirt is titled "Bad Memories" and the image is just... i feel sad lol. so i bought the shirt even though ever time i look at it i will remember that dream and be sad.

there was a red fox for sale near where i live, my parents found it for sale online, and they offered to get it for me for my birthday, if it was still for sale. well as soon as i heard that i started to design the pen for her. it was going to be 6 feet tall (9 foot at top of triangle roof) 10 feet wide and 15 feel long. with a double door entrance. the floor was going to be plywood covered in dirt, with special dig zones. one about 2x2x3 under her dog (fox) house that has boards surrounding it, and another in the center about 3x3x3 with boards around it too.
i goggled to find images of her since i didn't know what the web site was called, well i found one that was posted 6 months ago by the same person saying she was selling them because she was moving to Florida in a month, she had three foxes for sale then, i found another 2 months ago saying that she sold two of the foxes and needed to sell the other because she was moving to Florida in a month. and in the post my parents found that was made about a week ago she said she has three foxes for sale, the same three as 6 months ago, and that she was moving to Florida soon.
as soon as i read all that i started to think that it was a scam. if its not i'm going to be one happy kitsune, but i'm going to try to not bring my hopes up again.
on the bright side i wont have to push back my fursuit plans, on the downside im going back to the 5 year plan for that dream.
also another downside, Ohio is trying to ban the ownership of exotic animals, bastards. if it passes i will have to postpone it by a few years to save to move out of state. *note wont affect those who already own the pet for 4 years, then they can get a permit with strict laws)
