Posted a year agoIn light of having struck by lightning yesterday, my PC and other connected accessories might have been damaged and the monitor is black screening on me briefly. It's clearly a sign that my PC might need to be replaced, but my current financial situation doesn't allow me do so.

PSA on the article 13 fiasco

Normally, I would not want to talk about this, but seeing that it's getting worse, I have to.
I'm sure any of you are aware of a controversial EU bill known as Article 13, which mandates the implementation of automated content filter on every major internet sites that allows users to uploading their content to the site, which includes Fur Affinity.
The problem is, as we seen with Youtube's Content-ID, the automated content filters are deeply flawed, as the filter bots can't tell if the contents are used in the way that is defined as fair use or not. Furthermore, automated content filters are subjected to be abused by big name companies in the wrong ways.
Because most of the sites are international sites, implementing the filter would not only affects people in the EU regions, but also people around the world such as me and my friend
Marwan.
If this bill are getting passed in the EU court, sooner or later, there would be little-to-no contents here on Fur Affinity, at least concerning about the fanarts.
Since I'm a person from Malaysia, which is outside of the EU regions, I can't do anything about it except watching the situation to get worse. But if you guys happens to be the people from the EU regions, you can prevent this gloomy reality from happening if you act now.
If you do not want everyone's internet to become much more restrictive, you better act now because, time is running out.

Artwork commission closed on deviantART and finance update.

Few months ago, I brought a new Wacom Intuos tablet and come with said tablet is the 2-years license of Clip Studio Paint Pro. I'm still not getting used to the new Wacom tablet and the new main software. Because of this, I have no choice but to close down the artwork commission offer on deviantART. Until I'm getting used to both the new tablet and the new art software, only Icon commission offers are available.
Now, on the the main topic of this journal: my current finance trouble.
You see, today I sent my first-gen Nokia 6 to an authorized service center for repair due to not visible but bulged battery and damage screen. Initially, it would cost me around 355 MYR or 90 USD, but the staff told me over the phone that there will be some changes to the repair cost due to some component (likely the metal plate) being damaged during the disassemble process. Due to this, it is likely that it will be raised to above 400 MYR or 100 USD, and I can feel that I might not able to pay for the final repair cost, at least with the current finance I have right now (I have 510 MYR or 120 USD in my wallet).
Normally, I wouldn't resort to depriving myself of foods for few weeks to save up the money, but it seems right now it's a only option.
You can support me by either asking for icon commission (5 USD each and up to 2 commissions per person within a month), pledge me on Patreon or buy me a Ko-fi on my Ko-fi page. Yes, I have a Ko-fi page now.

By the way, this might be my last journal.
Yesterday night, I came across a bad admin of a FANDOM wiki. He's rude to almost to everyone and will lashes out whenever he can. Other people say that he does that so he can protect the wiki, but what he is to me? What he does is a straight barrage of harassment. And it is even worst, because he didn't tell what exact what I do wrong white editing the articles. I have to admit that this is the most immature admin I ever seen, and his harassment hurts me.
Now I felt like I wanna die. No, I'm dead serious here.

So many old items at a hobby shop
Posted 7 years agoSo...today, I visit a hobby shop named Toys Kingdom, located at inside the Yik Foong Complex of Ipoh city. Note that this is not the first I visit the complex and the hobby shop.
Inside the shop, there are numerous plastic models (usually dominating by gunplas), statues and action figures (usually consists of SH Figuarts and Figma). The shop also sells the tools such as cutter and modeler knife etc. for building plastic models.
Now, let's get into the main topic: For whatever reasons, the shop has many old items that are still there and are left there for years, particularly the old SH Figuarts such as the Akibarangers (duh...), Akaranger, Vul Eagle and a few Kamen Rider SH Figuarts action figures. (ZX and the Fourze module sets are the worst offenders.) Heck, I even see a old SIC Kikaider there as well.
This makes me wonder: How can a small hobby shop has so many old items?

2 months of using the new PC
Posted 8 years agoSorry for being almost dead silent for nearly 2 months; I was current getting ready for the car driving exam that takes place on next Wednesday. (And I'm likely to fail on the first try.)
That's not what I'm going to talk about here today. This journal is about my 2-month experience with my new PC.
On October 15, 2017, I gathered new parts for my PC build after I gained enough money. Instead of letting technician do the job for me, I built it myself at home. After I built it, I first updated the motherboard's UEFI, then install Windows 10 Pro 64-bit OS and required drivers into the PC.
When I started the PC for the first time, it was, well, fast. Suddenly, almost all applications and games that used to be a bit slow on my old PC had become so fast on my new PC. Thoughout those weeks, I had also purchase or download a few new games from Steam, namely Friday the 13th: The Game, DiRT Rally and Warframe, and my PC was able to run those games with little to no trouble at all at high settings.
If you want to know how it look like, here's my current PC specs:
- AMD Ryzen 1600 CPU
- Asus Prime B350M-A motherboard (AMD B350 chipset)
- Corsair Vengeance RGB 2x8GB DDR4 memory kit
- Zotac GTX 1050Ti OC Edition graphics card (Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti)
- Corsair Force LE 120GB SSD (System drive)
- Seagate BarraCuda 2TB HDD (Secondary drive)
- Lite-ON DVD burner
- Thermaltake Smart Pro RGB 650W modular PSU
- Aerocool VS-1 PC case.

In addition to the main PC, I also replaced the old Samsung CRT monitor with a HP 22es IPS monitor due to numerous reasons.
I got to say that those money saving efforts really worth it, though I have a complain about the PC case I choose. (mainly because the front USB ports where attached to the front panel instead of the chassis.)

-The profile icon's size is either 250 x 250, 500 x 500 or both.
-A profile icon can only have and shows the head of one character.
-Keep it PG-13.
-Regardless of what kind of shading a icon has, it will be always 12 USD each. (fee included)
-Payment will be made using Paypal, but you can only make the payment after I finished the commission. Don't ever type anything in the message input field. (even words like 'DeviantART' and 'Commissions' are on their blacklist.) You need to select 'No Address Needed' when making a payment (for more info, see here). Do not send the money as 'gift'.
-Currently there will be 6 commission slots, and one user can have up to 2 commission slots. If there's no more commission request in a month or after I finished all the commissions, I will refresh the slots.
-It should be note that not every ideas for the commission are accepted, and I have the right to rejects them if I don't like them for some reasons.
-You are not allowed to mint and/or sell your commissions for NFT (Non-Fungible Token).
Please be aware that the available slots are universal and are shared across the net.

Rating change to certain K-Girl artworks
Posted 11 years agoIf you guys notice that some K-Girl artwork are now rated mature (so for those who doesn't turn on the mature filter, you are no longer see them), this is because I might need to complies with the updated AUP policy on Fur Affinity.

Posted 12 years agoRight now I want a translator who can translates from English to Japanese; I wanted to translating the "Richard and Masaki's Comedy Theater" comics into Japanese. (except the current on-going one)
The reason is that I am also actives on Pixiv; I have thinking about posting the comic on there, but considering most people there are Japanese, I didn't.

Posted 13 years agoToday, my pc's Windows Live Messenger application is having a glitch that show either me and my friend's MSN status is offline (but he said he is online).
Can anyone give any advises? I don't want to replace the whole pc and I don't have any money.
