Goals for the summer
General | Posted 14 years agoAs it's now summer, i'd thought i'd make a few goals for myself.
- Keep my job. Stay strong. Learn from it. Don't get fired. Don't quit.
- Learn to type in Dvorak well enough to type at 60 wpm.
- Be able to unicycle for 50 feet
- Start a webcomic. (or at least start planning and writing one)
- Run a 5k in under 29 minutes
- Draw or sketch everyday
- Be more social with local furs
- Commission a fursuit

ANYWAYS...as the title said, I'm looking to buy a fursuit. I have a maker in mind that i like, but I do want to look at other options as well.
Because I'm going to spending a lot of money on one, I want it to be awesome looking. Also looking for one that will last. And a good price, but most importantly i want it to look good.

Japan and Japanese, Spring Break, Unicycle, and other things
General | Posted 15 years agoThinking and praying for Japan. :( It's terrible. On a good note, as far as I know at the moment, all my Japanese friends and Japanese sensei and their families are doing fine! Thank God!
As for Japanese, it's going....ok. I just took the hardest test I've taken so far and gotten a C on it. :/ I should have studied harder.
The good news is that after this semester I will have a Japanese minor!
Spring Break is this coming week! My plans are the following:
- Go to a going away party for a good friend who is going back to Malaysia.
- Play through Heavy Rain with friends on Saturday
- Spend some time with my family on Sunday through Tuesday
- Go to Ft. Worth, TX, with friends
- Go to a Chick-fil-A grand opening in Ft Worth, spend 24 hours there, and hopefully get free Chick-fil-A for a Year
- Go back home and relax
- Go to a FIRST robotics competition in Oklahoma City (my sister is on a team on which my dad is a mentor)
That's basically my Spring Break plans. It's going to be great NOT doing school for awhile. School really has been killing me.
Oh yeah! UNICYCLE! My friend Charlie is lending me his unicycle, in which I am going to learn! I think my hobby is to collect hobbies.
And that's about it. Spending 16 hours a day on school isn't fun. But, I'm still alive. And hopefully can get back to drawing soon. Thanks for reading, if you read everything. Not many will.

I had a good time at Furry Fiesta
General | Posted 15 years agoI know this journal is a little late, but I have been swamped with work this past week. That's what I get for going to a furry con instead of doing homework. :P
Also, I have gotten sick and am not feeling well.
Anyways, I went to the con with
twilightrat and 
visual_something, and we had a blast.
I went to quite a few panels. There was a really good one on how to do fur digitally. It was very interesting. There was another panel on drawing eyes. And a fursuiting 101 panel, pointers about various things to do and not do while in fursuit.
I played some Werewolf. That was fun. We had a game with almost 40 people. That was insane.
And I entered the charity poker tournament. Out of..I'm not sure, close to 40 probably? There were 4 tables. I made it to the last table, and then lost. But I was able to get a prize. ^^ I need to play poker more. I know I could have played better.
I got a bag, and the conshirt, as well as another shirt, a button, and a badge. (The last two I just posted, go see)

General | Posted 15 years agoor at least went to a furry convention. She found the shirt I got from Wild Nights as I was doing my laundry, and asked me about it. I told her I went to a furry convention. And she didn't know what furry was. So I told her it was people who liked anthropomorphic animals. And she was cool with it. Of course, she never heard of furries before.

Broke my laptop

But, I didn't let it hold me back. I'm still on the way to looking good, and I can't let failure discourage me too much.
Also, as said in the title; I will try to do more art soon. I haven't lately because of school and other activities, such as Taiko. We had an important performance 2 weeks ago; and we'd practiced 10 hours the week before, and at least 15 hours the week of. So I've had no time until now, since it is Dead week. And during Christmas/Winter break, I'll have a lot of time.

Oklacon last week was good, and Week 11
General | Posted 15 years agoyeah, I went to Oklacon last weekend. It went pretty well. I can't believe it's been a week since then already. I got there Friday afternoon, and hung out with people. That night was really fun. I entered the charity poker tourney and got to the final table. :3

On Saturday, I went to one or two panels. I played Predator and Prey, which was a lot of fun, and I survived until the end; but didn't have enough food and water to stay alive. :/ oh well.
That night, playing the who's the werewolf game (like mafia) was really fun. I love games like that. twilightrat and I were the werewolves on the third round of play. On the first or second day, he was lynched by the town. But somehow, I was able to convince people that I wasn't the werewolf and that he was or she was, killing off good people. >:3. And survived until the end when it was almost all "evil" characters left. And we won. ^^

Yup. I will be sleeping in an A-frame (hopefully. it seems there will be a ton of furs there.)

hmm....if there's poker, the werewolf game, Pred/Prey or board games, I will most likely be there. Otherwise, if there's an event going on, there's a good chance I might be there.

I love the Werewolf game!!!!! I also love poker!!!! So, it's a toss up.

Week 10
General | Posted 15 years agoNot much to say here. This past week's been pretty normal. I didn't do anything that exciting over the weekend, just hung out with friends. I did, however, eat more than I should have. Notice I didn't lose any weight. :( But i didn't gain weight. :)

Went home this past weekend, Oklacon coming up - Week 9
General | Posted 15 years agoI went home this past weekend, and that was really nice. I went to my old high school's football game. They lost, but it was nice going back. And my sister's robotics team competed in a competition, and their team did really well.
Oklacon is coming up, and I'll be there! I'm pretty shy, but hoping to be a little more social. I'm also excited about the charity poker tournament there. I like poker. :3
I'm looking forward to a weekend away from school (even though i might need to study a little there, because it's looking that i might have 2 tests that monday ><)

Very busy week, Columbus day - Week 8
General | Posted 15 years agoYes, busy. Two tests, a project, and several homework assignments. But I prevailed.
OH, and apparently yesterday was Columbus day?
I really cannot believe we have a federal holiday because of him!

The only thing I can think to explain that loss is weight fluctuations because of water. I think I have less fluid in me right now. We'll just have to "weight" til next week to see if I really lost any fat or not. I'll be extremely happy if I don't gain any weight next week.

Um...I had a 3 day weekend, because OU played Texas this past weekend in football, and so OU gives us friday off. (we won btw)
So, this past weekend I spent drawing, playing video games, board games, and watching tv. Did I do any homework? Nope! But I should have. :/ I'm swamped with work this week.
Starting Weight: 250.4
Previous Weight: 245.6
Current Weight: 246.3
Weight GAIN: 0.7
Yup, it happened. I gained weight. I'm not TOO discouraged. I am a little bit, but I will work through this and lose more than .7 next week...hopefully...
This does mean that I will do a request for someone. I will choose from someone who comments on this journal by my not so perfectly random, random method.
