Posted 2 years agoSo now that furry Twexit is well underway, I've begun to diversify my social media presence. At this stage I have my fingers in almost every pie, just feeling out where people are going.
In the last few months I have started using Mastodon, BlueSky and have started a Telegram channel for sharing my art and stories and WIPs.

Writing Commissions - 2023-24 ToS

I accept writing commissions on a discretionary basis, rather than on a 'slots' basis. Submitting a request is not a guarantee of service, however I will endeavour to respond to any serious request.
All stories I write occur within my own fantasy AU, known as Asantrea. In conjunction with this, I retain all rights of ownership, reproduction, alteration, publication and distribution of written material, world and plot elements and characters (other than your original characters ("OCs")) set within this world, as well as sole copyright to any such material, including the name "Asantrea," geographic and situational elements therein, and all characters created by me to appear in written material. By commissioning me to write a story for you set in this world, you also purchase limited ownership, reproduction and credited-publication rights to the material I create for you. This means you have the right to publish commissioned work on your own social media and share it by not-for-profit means, so long as the story remains un-altered by you, and appropriately credits me as its creator.
Since all stories I write are part of a larger body of work and often directly reference each other, there are certain restrictions on what will or will not 'fit' within the overall fabric of my corpus. This is fairly fluid, and Asantrea is a world that's under constant development. But it is a world that has a fairly well-established range of inhabitants, cultures, creation mythologies, historical events and geopolitics, which of course vary depending on the era and setting of the story in question.
Pricing structure - All prices herein are given in Australian Dollars (AUD)
I have previously worked on a tiered price basis, with rates tied to word counts and discounted for length, with larger commission pieces charged in two or more instalments. This had worked well, and will continue. Upon engaging me to write a story for you, I will first ask to discuss your requirements in detail. Once an agreement has been reached, I will invoice you for my "flag fall" rate - this is like a down-payment, and serves to build confidence without demanding an in-full payment upfront for all commissions. A secondary payment for 5000+ word commissions will be invoiced once the story has surpassed that length, and is negotiable based on my projections for the final length of the piece, with your input and consent. I will endeavour to maintain constant contact with you throughout the writing process, and at Tier 3 and above I will provide a link to the working draft of your commission such that you are free to observe progress at any stage. A more detailed breakdown of pricing is provided below.
As of July 1 2023, my base rate will increase from AU$33 to AU$48 per 1000 words. The "flag fall" price of 5000+ word commission is thus AU$240, and covers the first 5000 words of a piece.
Pricing examples:
Base Rate: AU$48/1000 words.
All word counts herein are flexible and indicative only; you may commission a Tier 1 Micro-Fiction of 4500 words, or a Tier 4 Immersive Fiction of 19,000 words if you so wish. Prices will be determined on a pro-rata basis depending on the desired word count and are negotiable within reason. Minimum purchase is 1500 words, for AU$72.
Tier 1 - Micro-Fiction: 1500+ words, $72+. Discretionary edits/alterations charged by the hour (AU$33/hr).
Tier 2 - Quick-Fic: 5000+ words, Discontinued - see below
Tier 3 - Short Story: 5000-10,000 words, AU$240-480. Upfront charge of AU$240, with a completion charge issued following 5000 word review. 2x reviews included. Further reviews/alterations charged by the hour.
Tier 4 - Immersive Fiction: 10,000+ words. Discontinued - see below
Tier 5 - Novelette/Novella: 20,000+ words; multiple chapters, released episodically. Starting at AU$864 (10% discount on base rate). 25,000 words = AU$1080, 30,000 words = AU$1296, etc. Upfront charge of $240, with balance payments negotiated through the writing process. Payment plans are available if desired and can be tracked against progress, if desired. Overall length can be flexible, and renegotiated at any time through the process. Chapters will not be released until the story is complete, reviewed and edited. Full payment is required prior to releasing the story (or a significant bulk thereof) for review. Stories of this tier may also attract simple sketch illustrations as part of the finished product.
Special Tier - Episodic Story Series: Multiple linked stories from theTier 2 or Tier 3 level, each self-contained (unlike a chapter-based Tier 5). Starting at AU$273 per story (base Tier 3 cost plus allowance for additional storyboarding, editing, character development etc), with no limit on additional chapters. Minimum purchase of three stories. Editing and payment as per Tier 5.
What I WILL write
-Adventure-Erotica (Specialty! - It's like Tintin or Indiana Jones, but with far fewer incidences of pants)
-Classical/medieval fantasy.
-Romance.
-Tragedy.
-Slice-of-life.
-Contemporary fiction (Realistic, Alt Reality or Scifi.)
-Hard or Soft Science fiction (near or deep future).
-Erotica. Flat-out smut.
-Any combination of the above (within reason).
-Stories featuring deep character development of your OCs
-Anything from short, sharp scenes to multi-chapter, episodic fiction.
-Mild to mid-range kinky themes; if it's believably realistic and comparatively gentle, I'll probably go there!
-CONSENT. Yes, even in furry fiction.
-Realistic, believable situations.
-I am willing to write some 'niche' erotic material. See below for caveats.
What I WILL NOT write
-Realism and believability are defining characteristics of what I enjoy writing, and as such I will not approach stories which heavily feature normalised themes like vore, transformation, 'hyper,' macro/micro, and so on. If unsure, ask! Metaphysical or spiritual elements are fine; characters casting spells that immediately and significantly alter reality are not.
-Themes of abuse, neglect, violence etc will not be written in a fetish context. This extents to dubious-consent, non-con, coercive manipulation, fetish-rape, and so on.
-Explicit sexual interaction between characters depicted as underage, or adult/cub interaction (ie; any situation which, in reality, would be considered exploitative, abusive or harmful).
-Mutilation, blood/gore, death, etc will not be written in a sexual or fetish context. If it is conducive to a storyline, that is different; violence, battle scenes etc are fine.
-Pokemon, Digimon, most forms of pop-culture fanfic. Don't even go there. I don't get it and make no apologies.
-All the usual, harder 'niche' fetish stuff - scat, diapering, mind control/break, master/slave (as a fetish).
-Locker room smut. Yes, I know it's popular. But it's also dull and uninspiring! If you're struggling, ask for input and we can work on something more enticing.
Payment
Your commission will be invoiced to you via PayPal. Accommodations for alternate payment methods can be arranged (Stripe, etc). Work will not commence until the receipt and clearance of the first payment. For higher commission tiers, you will receive access to the working draft of the story (in view-only mode) generally in the form of a OneDrive link, at negotiated points in the story's development. This will not be a 'live' link, but a client review snapshot. A secondary payment (if applicable) will be invoiced to you after negotiations are complete and an agreement on final length is reached. Continuance of your commission will proceed once this payment is received and cleared. At the conclusion of writing, your commission will be packaged and sent digitally to you in a file format of your choice. If agreed, it will also be published to my various accounts and promoted on social media, if appropriate. In the instance that charged editing time is required, your commission will not be released or published until editing charges are received and cleared.
Payment for sub-5000 word stories is ALWAYS upfront, in full, and is non-refundable once work begins. Typos, grammatical fixes and genuine alterations where I have misinterpreted your needs will be free of charge, but anything that requires rewriting on a discretionary basis - even if it is only a few words or sentences - will be charged the full hour. Multiple rounds of edits will be charged at a MINIMUM of one-hour EACH, so be sure if you're going down this path to highlight everything you wish to see changed all at once to minimise cost to you. An exception to this rule is if I have misinterpreted information you provided to me at the beginning of the commission process - in this situation editing can be done free of charge, if there is no ambiguity relating to its reasons and necessity. On this note - please remember that you are commissioning me to write within my fantasy AU. Alterations to my literary voice or writing style will not be accepted, within reason.
Refunds & Cancellations
As a general rule, refunds will not be given if work has substantially commenced. If your situation has changed, please let me know as soon as possible. If you cannot make a balance payment, your commission can be placed on hold until such a time as you are able to make the payment. Interest will not be charged, and your commission will be shielded from any future price increases. This clause will not apply if, on the resumption of work, you request significant changes to the initially-agreed commission terms. In such a situation, you will be invoiced the balance of any interim increase in price.
Cancellations are possible by negotiation. In this instance, a partial refund may be offered, with work already undertaken subtracted from your downpayment by word count.
As always, please contact me with any enquiries. I am not a difficult person to talk to, even if this document makes it seem as though I am! Writing is my passion, but is not my primary source of income. Timeframes and delivery schedules are therefore uncertain and fluid, and thus my commission status is CLOSED at present. You are always welcome to knock on the door, however.
