Pardon my squee. This is the first time I've had any of my work bound into a book! =D

They're not *quite* ready for sale yet. I still want to tweak and add a couple things. It's lovely, though! 8x10, full color glossy cover, nice weight paper, and almost 80 pages of line art. It's pretty hefty! If you want a sneak peak, I snapped some pics and uploaded them to my Tumblr so you guys can get an idea of what it'll be like:

As of right now, it's priced at $13.99 plus shipping. The final total comes to just under $20. I feel like that's a pretty fair price given the sheer amount of art and the quality of the book itself. It'll definitely hold up to dry media like colored pencil or crayon. And even if you don't want to color things, it's a nice collection of black and white line art. =) I will, of course, make an announcement when the final version's been uploaded and made available for sale.

Feel free to stop in, ask questions, hang out, etc. Starts early and will probably run for 6-8 hours total, or until the demo badge is finished. I will not be taking commissions during the badge demo.

Thanks for the well wishes the other day. I'm doing MUCH better now, and I'm getting a new desk today! I want to get things moved around and set up in their new homes before I attempt to stream again, so there's going to be a delay. I love Ikea, but it does mean some assembly required. I don't know how long that's going to take me.

But yay! New desk! Hopefully once I'm free to stream I'll have my new workstation set up. =)

Sorry I haven't gotten stuff anywhere near close to on time today. Husband's home sick, and trying to fix some stuff on my computer led to revelations of larger issues (though nothing world-ending) that are going to take more time to fix than expected. I'm feeling kind of blah myself, but I need to at least get  fatinuyasha's piece inked today. I'll post a notice when stuff is up and running, though it might be a bit.

Whelp. Guess who grew ANOTHER cyst on her only remaining ovary? u.u Goddammit, I hate being female. Doc upped my BC to a stronger dose to try and kill this one WITHOUT surgery. Here's hoping.

Fuck anyone who says women who want birth control are just sluts who want to have consequence free sex. Fuck them up their stupid asses. I have endometriosis, fibroids, and I've already had one ovary destroyed by a cyst. This stuff is the ONLY thing keeping my freaking cycle to something bearable.

Otherwise, I'm fine, and I feel better than I have in ages, but apparently my body ain't done having issues yet.

Many thanks to  flinters and  mountaingoat and company for running such a tight ship. They fixed my customer service issue before I even realized it might be a customer service issue. =)

We had to ban someone from my stream tonight for ongoing issues with inappropriate behavior. The person then proceeded to bitch me out on Twitter, so THAT was fun. u.u Blocked them there, too.

I have little patience for willful ignorance, or people with an obsessive need to be the center of attention. When it goes beyond that to making my regulars and customers uncomfortable, or in a couple cases SEVERELY upset, it is NOT OKAY. We've had numerous issues with this person, and apparently I'm not the only artist to have problems with them, so I feel fully justified in kicking their ass to the curb.

Up until now, we haven't had any serious issues. People who've toed the line of what is and isn't okay have generally gotten warnings and have toned it down when requested. I don't like having to ban people, or having to ask my mods to ban people, but I will not tolerate that sort of behavior in my art streams, nor will they. If you come in looking to troll or harass or otherwise get a rise out of people who are just there to enjoy the art, my mods will ban you.

I'm not planning to go anywhere at this point. You can still find my art both here and the other places I post it regularly. I see no point in panicking over something that happened several months ago. If circumstances change as to being intolerable, I'll look elsewhere for a regular home for my art, but right now I don't see a point in freaking out.

Leonard Nimoy passed away today. He will be sorely missed. Probably my first real connection with his voice outside a Star Trek context was going to the Boston Science Museum as a kid. The opening test sequence for the Omni theater there is voiced by Leonard Nimoy. Or at least, it was when I was little. I still remember one of the anonymous tech-voices asking "Is that Leonard Nimoy?" And him responding "He grew up six blocks from here." I don't know why that always stuck with me, but it did.

Hey guys!

This has been my general policy pretty much forever, but I want to come out and state it so there's no confusion. If you commission artwork from me and the original is slated to be shipped, and I have indicated it's been mailed off, and you DO NOT receive the original within a reasonable amount of time since date of mailing, LET ME KNOW, PLEASE!

I send off almost all my larger pieces Priority Mail with tracking data, so the post office emails me periodically when a package is enroute. I can provide that tracking number if requested, but I usually just try to alert folks if I've gotten any indication a package may have been delayed or rerouted.

I do NOT have tracking data for items sent via first class mail. This usually means smaller things like art cards mailed with stamps, or badges which don't fit well in the priority envelopes. That does mean there's a greater chance of something getting lost. It's happened, though in all my years of mailing off commissions, only once has something gone missing as far as I've been made aware. That's a risk we're taking together so I don't have to charge an extra $5 to send off a $25 art card.

BUT.

If your item goes missing in the mail, I will do my best to make up a replacement in a timely manner. Technically, it's out of my hands once it enters the USPS, but I really do want people to get the art they've paid for. Thus far, the risk of using first class mail for smaller things so I can send them off free or at a reduced rate for the commissioner has been worth it. However, you're always welcome to pay a little more to upgrade to Priority Mail shipping or even add insurance if you have any concerns.

Bottom line, though, if you haven't received your art, PLEASE come to me first. If it doesn't arrive and I haven't heard from you, I have to assume you got it and won't know otherwise unless you tell me. Don't file a PayPal dispute. NOTE or EMAIL me (zannah@rainbowsaber.com) and I'll see if I can figure out what went wrong. I'd much rather make you a replacement than deal with all that hassle.

Today marks 11 years I've been married to  nius It seriously doesn't feel nearly that long. And no, we didn't PLAN to get married on valentine's day. It was just the next free weekend. We eloped. =D And I have never regretted it.

Today we slept in, and I made chocolate cupcakes with cream cheese icing. It was awesome. I love my jaguar. ^_^

I got in the door about 20 minutes ago, safe and intact. I am utterly exhausted, having spent the past week packing, hauling, unpacking, retrieving, and assembling furniture, but my mom-in-law has been successfully moved to her new place. Plus about 26 hrs of driving (not counting local stuff) to get there and back. I'm wiped out. I gotta fix some stuff around the house, make myself eat something, and then I'm crashing hard core and sleeping all day tomorrow. (Okay, probably not ALL day, but you get the idea).

Woogh.

Anyway, I'm back! Also, sorry folks who were Jersey-local and looking to possibly meet up. I was on the south end of the state near Philly, and there was so much work to do that I didn't have time for anything until late evenings, and by that point I just wanted to collapse and sleep since we had to get up and do it all again the next day. That, and I had to dodge some nasty snow storms driving there and back. :( Maybe I can make something happen next time I'm out on the east coast, when hopefully I'll have a less hectic schedule.

Looks like the weather's going to be shitty tomorrow, so I'm delaying my drive back home by an extra day. Hopefully if I leave early Friday morning I'll be able to slip between the worst of the snow storms.

I will be streaming tonight at some point (once I finish up some chores), though I'm not going to be on super late. I have to get on the road early tomorrow to go help my mother-in-law move house, and it's a long drive to get there. I'll be limited to my phone and iPad for internet for the next week or so, so getting in touch may be spotty for a bit, and no streams obviously. If all goes well and the weather cooperates, I should be home by late next Thursday at the latest. I should still have access to my email/Twitter/G+/AIM/FA notes and Skype, though I may not have things open all the time as I expect we'll be fairly busy. If you can't get in touch with me via normal methods and you NEED to tell me something desperately,  nius,  colblackwolf, or  perdikitti are all capable of getting messages to me (as are a few other folks but I'm not going to list everybody here). Though really, there shouldn't be anything I couldn't get by reading a note or an email later, so don't pester them unless it's a dire emergency and you can't get ahold of me. =D
