Posted 8 years agoThis is sorta old news but tumblr restored my blog after months of counter-DMCA shenanigans. Turns out Nintendo doesn't actually give a fuck whether you draw pokeporn, it was just some trolls making false copyright claims all along ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Posted 8 years agoyep, got DMCA'd by Nintendo three times for, not stealing any of their content, but simply for drawing pokeporn, as ridiculous as that sounds.
My theory is that it was probably just a very active hater of mine who kept egging on some Nintendo employee(s) to file DMCA on them as I've heard Nintendo doesn't give a shit normally nor do they actively try to take down porn of their IPs (that would be impossible), I'll probably never find out the actual reasons but

so if you were wondering why zanthu-chan.tumblr.com disappeared, that there is the reason.
New tumblr is zanthu.tumblr.com, but undoubtedly that one will get nuked sooner or later as well.

like I feel I need to reboot the way I’m going about it, cos I just keep looking at others’ art and then try to apply their techniques (poorly) in what I do which has resulted in a decline in style consistency and my viewerbase both here and especially FA (which is my main source of commission money)
i end up hating nearly every finished pic I do, I usually either fuck it up from the start with ugly composition and anatomy or ruin it with gross looking shading. While these things can be fixed with more practice, there’s the issue of stylistic choice
I don’t know if I should stick with the thick, more painterly style I’ve used with the texturized brushes or go with the more animu style with clean thin lines and a mix of soft and cell shading. I keep juggling styles whenever I feel like it but what I want is to have a solid style people can recognize and one that could hopefully attract more customers and watchers/followers. Shit, I even lowered my commish prices by 30% but I still can’t get anyone interested.
So, I need opinions. Which of my styles is the most aesthetically pleasing to you and what do you think are the most grave pitfalls my art usually trips to? Any critique will help me a ton ;u;

there was a long period in my life when I almost gave up drawing due to stuff (health issues mainly) but I've slowly been getting the drive and confidence to continue. I purged all my notes before I left so if I owe you something, hit me up with a note!
I'm gonna start dumping my most recent/well done (in my opinion) FA-related stuff so apologies in advance for cluttering your submissions!

Anyone know where to get (free) SAI brushes?
Posted 14 years agoSo, as some of you may have noticed I've been messing with the standard SAI brushes for some time now. However, I haven't found "the right ones" yet. I need brushes that give out a nice texture when coloring different surfaces and stuff. I want to experiment with different brushes~ The only free brush pack I've uncovered from the internets so far is the one here. I've also heard that you can create your own brushes but I have no idea how that's done, I am such a noob. :c
Anyway, if anyone knows where to get more of them or even share some of their own, I'd be more than happy~

So I thought this would be a good time to start taking commissions again! :> I need the money, plus I have no idea what to draw for myself anymore... I really wanted to get into doing pokemon stuff again but I just can't find the inspiration ;A; But yeah, I digress.
