Guys, I'm back! Paris is quite an experience. So much to see... 3 days just isn't enough to see it all!

Even though I was emotionally and physically exhausted at the the start of my vacation (getting up at 3:20am for the flight didn't help lol), it was a positive experience for me. Going to a foreign city alone with only myself to rely on... finding my way around the city; going wherever I want; ordering food in French. I've never done anything like that before. I'm starting to learn that I need to take better care of myself :<. Other people can help me a lot in life, but I have to be there for myself too.


Here are all the places I managed to visit:

Day 1: Cloudy day: Île de la Cité, Île Saint-Louis, Galeries Lafayette

Day 2: Rainy day: Père Lachaise Cemetery, Louvre, Jardin des Tuileries, Eiffel Tower

Day 3: Sunny day: Notre Dame, Market at Bastille, Boat Tour on the Seine, Les Halles



Galeries Lafayette:
Galeries Lafayette is a cathederal... of shopping. It's epic department store a little bit north of the Paris city centre. And omg, It has 10 floors! I wondered around it for a couple hours and I didn't even buy anything :O Everything was so expensive! Floor after floor of designer clothes and everyone was buying so much. Knowing Paris, even in the middle of the economic crisis, fashion is the last thing they'll want to give up on lolol. Luckily near the top there's a toy store! A little oasis in the middle of a desert of unaffordable clothing XD

Louvre:
Truly incredible. Definitely the highlight of my stay in Paris. And it goes on forever. I spent 3 hours exploring it and I only had time for the greek/roman sculptures and the egyptian antiquities. Fortunately those are my favorites hehe.
Epic Louvre Ceiling Painting

On my visit to the Louvre, I fell in love with Jupiter de Verseilles. Here you can see why.

He is now my all-time favorite work of art. If it was legal and humanly possible, I would marry him and have his babies.

And by far the COOLEST part of the Louvre is it's extensive collection of ancient egyptian mummified animals wooo!!!! So cute!! Oh my, is that a raccoon mummy??

The population of the Louvre is 78% Japanese, 19% French, 2% German and 1% Zan: Venus de Milo

Eiffel Tower:
When you go to the Eiffel Tower, go there at sunset ok? The queues are shorter than the day, and it's so pretty I could cry ;o;

It was rainy a bit which gave the whole thing a strange indescribable atmosphere:

With the truest miracle in human history, I was there at the exact same time as the Kazakhstan National Judo Team!!! Go mudcats!


Notre Dame:
Yes, you must go here:

I was exhausted after all the hours of walking yesterday, so I chilled here outside for a couple hours, and ate a sammich. It was nice ;3 A girl came up to me and asked me for a light for her cigarette. I don't smoke D: But we started talking about Paris and life. She had just arrived in the city and was there alone too. She flew all the way from China without knowing any French at all, and just a bit of English. She must be 1000 times braver than me hehe. Talking to her really lifted my sprits since I was getting super lonely at this stage. It was nice giving her advice on where to visit and how to get around the city. And at the end she asked for my email address <3

Les Halles:
Les Halles is a magic place! It's like a pleasant park mixed with a busy market place. I spent my last few hours exploring here. There are escalators leading underground where there's a shopping mall with a cinema :O
Plus it's connected to the largest underground train/subway super station in the world!

I loled beacuse at the entrance to the station is this huge art poster full of ants! And it really does feel like a large human ant farm lol.


End of adventure :D

I'll have to go back sometime next year, still so much left to see :3

To be honest, the last few days have been pretty bad for me. Sleepless nights, lots of crying.. the usual stuff that happens when a dream shatters and life seems to all fall apart..

Oh well, enough emo talk. I fly to Paris tomorrow morning. I get up at 3.30am to catch the flight and I'll be in Paris bright and early at 9am. I just realized the sun will be rising while I'm on the plane, which might be interesting to see. Many times today I've thought about cancelling my vacation, and just staying home to recover. But I'm going to go and I'm going to make the most of this.

I'm writing this journal entry because I need support. It might get lonely for me exploring Paris on my own. And I really don't have many friends in this world to keep in contact with while I'm there. Right now, I need you guys and I need hope ;_;
