I'm heading out tomorrow for Texas Furry Fiesta. Five years ago, I got accidentally stranded in Dallas on the same weekend as TFF. Friends took me in, gave me a bed in a hotel room, and even lent me a fursuit. A travel disaster became one of my favorite stories of what a great community we have, and even though I was only at my first TFF for about 12 hours, I fell in love with this con. I'm looking forward to my sixth Fiesta! See y'all there!

And once again, furs from all over the world will converge there. And locals from all over Pittsburgh will converge on us. It's here, it's here! FC is here! FC will always have a special place in my heart. It was my very first fur con EVER. And one year after that, it was where my fursuit, my beloved purple giraffe, was delivered to me. It's been 5 amazing years. And to this day, 5 years later, I can still point out where I had my first picture taken, the first stairway I walked down, the first time I walked outside.
And of course, its one of the two home cons we have here in the Bay Area.

It's almost here! Pacific Anthropomorphic Weekend, aka PAWCon, is the SF Bay Area's small local con. It's been growing every year, and as much as I like its big brother con, Further Confusion, its nice to have a small local con as well. Sure! But I'm a lightweight giraffe. And buzzed giraffes are kinda silly; we trip over our long legs and bump our heads on things.

I'm off to MCFC in a couple of days, a con I've never been to before. However, I've been coming to the Detroit area all my life; I have a large extended family there. I haven't done MCFC before because I didn't want to face the question "What brings you to town?" I decided that the time has come to stop hiding my furry side from my extended family, which makes attending this con a big deal for me! By the end of next week, all my cousins are going to know I'm a fur. The two cousins I'm closest to already know, and they've been very supportive. They may even visit me at the con, which would be the first time anyone in my family has ever seen me in suit-- a big milestone, to be sure!

Now it's time for the rest of the family to find out! It's a bit nerve wracking and exciting at the same time!

So apparently I'm a nutball. I scheduled myself for a bunch of cons, and they're all close together. Wheee! Just got back from Vancoufur--had a great time there, and  Qmick took me all around the beautiful interior of BC. Now, it's Texas Time. Heading out to TFF this week!
