Posted 14 years agoI've been having problems searching for two very specific very old animated movies. I've been searching for both for a long LONG time and have yet to figure out what the hell they are. They are both cartoons with anthropomorphic animals as the characters. Here is what I can remember of them:
Movie #1: David Copperfield
This movie is about a young male cat who I believe ends up becoming adopted by the antagonist - an evil man who forces children to work in his cheese factory - and goes on through his escape from the horrid place. I remember there being people forced to live under the warehouse because they have become 'infected' by an experimental purple cheese that now covers their body and could not be removed. The protagonist's best friend in the workhouse was a white dog with brown ears and a brown spot over one eye. There are two musical numbers that I remember explicitly titled 'I Hate Boys', sung by the protagonist's Aunt I believe, and 'Welcome to My Warehouse'.

Movie #2: Rock And Rule
This movie I remember much less about. It's set in a very futuristic world. I recall an evil scheme to unleash some kind of monster from an otherworldly dimension using a woman to sing very specific notes in a certain order. I can recall her being forces to put on a concert while her arms and legs are either bound to two columns or a giant ring with a collar that glowed when she was forced to sing. By the end of the movie, the woman and the protagonist both sing together a different selection of notes to seal the monster back. As far as musical numbers go, I cannot remember any of them per se, but I do recall briefly that three main character (including the protagonist) were brainwashed or hypnotized into not caring while the protagonist's love interest (the singing woman from before) was being kidnapped. Specifically, I recall them singing 'Daydream Believer' before the lot of them or shocked/power goes out and they suddenly remember what the hell is going on, spurring them into action.

Silverion OCT Competition

In my previous forum post I noted how often the issue of bias amongst judges and over powered characters came into play. As an answer to the character issue, an entry piece will be required. As an answer to the judge issue, at least half of my judges will be people NOT from FA, but from dA, thus they won't really know who the 'popular' choices are.
As my judges come together, I'll be listing them here. So far I have:
ZarJaMar
An artist of several different area including anthro, anime, comics, writing, and music. ZarJa prefers stories that can balance both comedy and drama.
Gatomonya (from dA)
Anthro artist, creator/Rah of Silverion Island on Furcadia, and most notably a major grammar nazi. She has been selected by the mayor in her town for a commission of a poster for a special town event. Gato really appreciates a well depicted action sequence.

Eulogy for Lappy...
Posted 17 years agoWell, my laptop died today. It died peacefully in it's sleep mode. (Seriously, it stopped working after I put it in sleep mode). We had great times together. Shared art with each other and the world, played music with each other, and even played games. But alas, our time had to end sooner or later, I just wish it was later than sooner. So to thee, sweet Lappy, I bid thee one final goodnight, and may the computer heavens welcome you with open arms.
...jokes aside, now I'm without a laptop. Thankfully, all of my files were on my External Harddrive, but it means that I won't be able to do any of my art, certainly not my comic at least. I now have no where to color them. Sure, I could do color pencil, but the quality wouldn't be the same...and color pencils, after a while, get expensive.
This also means I won't be on as much as before...and sadly, as much as I would love to get a computer, it's not in the budget and certianly not on my list of priorities right now. v.v
Well...pen and pencil commissions are still open...

1) Would you prefer if the art was Color, Gray scale, or Black and White?
-The reason why I ask this is because, while I don't mind coloring the pages, I have always found a certain 'charm' in black and white pieces...that and I've gotten really used to monotone comics (IE: Manga).
2) If I were to print a comic, would any of you pay to get a copy?
-I have honestly been looking into publishers for comic pages and even for putting up my own web comic space on Comic Genesis or another web comic site.
These are honest questions and I would like an honest opinion before I continue advancing on my comics further. If anything, if Black and white would be preferred, I can always gray scale the first several pages as an introduction.

My First Con!
Posted 17 years agoThe Rocky Mountain Fur Con will be my first fur Convention. I got a spot reserved and everything. The best part: The day after the Con officially ends, there's a totally unrelated Nightwish concert in Denver as well. aj-thecanaanfox, I am apparently required to continue this. So...as a fourth attempt to get people to read my journal, I'm going to go ahead and do this. Now for the rules:
1. Pick 15 of your favorite movies.
2. Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie.
3. Post them here for everyone to guess.

Anywho, I was hoping that I could get several of you awesome artists to kind of go through my gallery and give me some advice...I'd really like all the critiques I can get. ^ ^; Feel free to tear my pieces apart, it'll just serve to make me a better artist in the long run.
