I nuked my notifications :D
General | Posted 10 years agoHere i come with my once-a-year "I'm back!" journal which actually lies because i end up only posting a few times before disappearing. At least I get my commissions completed before disappearing eheh. It's still such a pleasant feeling to see people watch me even if I haven't been active. I don't think I'll ever get over people finding my art likeable enough to watch me I'm juST is this real
Anyhow, I ended up nuking most everything because I will never be able to go through all of the notifications....and seeing the number go in to the thousands was really putting me off from browsing this place again. I was basically busy surviving through life, college, and using up most of my free time playing FFXIV, so that's where I've been!
As a side note, my tumblr is just slightly more active than this place. I tend to only post animal/furry stuff here, whereas I post that and everything else on my tumblr. So if you're wondering if I'm still alive you can check that place out. I feel like I've said this multiple times.
Hope you all are having a decent start of the year!

Anyone live in Texas?
General | Posted 10 years agoI still have reservations about giving out personal info from when I was like 12 and Internet Strangers Are Bad. But I was curious if any of my watchers live in Texas! More specifically, central texas. I'm a huge hermit, but I sort of want to get to know people who also enjoy drawing talking animals. Plus I've been wanting to go to a convention or two (maaaybe get a table), but going by myself doesn't seem like something I'd enjoy.
how do i make friends
Has anyone else successfully found someone close by on FA and befriended them? Should I not bother? Maybe I should try to find a meet up somewhere

Iron Artist? Anyone with experience with them?
General | Posted 10 years agoI was contemplating trying for the Iron Artist challenge! I'm currently trying to find a bunch of other people who have done it just to get ideas, but I was thinking about making 10 themes so people can have choices. Plus it wouldn't be a challenge (and it'd get boring FAST) if I drew 100 characters just standing there. I've been on a self-improvement track lately so this sounds like it'd be a good way to get more experience. Plus I've been wanting to save up for something, so it'd be cool if I could buy an art-related thing using art-related funds!!
Can anyone chime in on experiences? :D What would make you want to commission someone who's trying to be an iron artist (besides the fact their art is appealing)?
I almost don't see a point of doing it because they just sound like regular commissions, so do people usually slightly lower their prices or promise quicker turnaround?
Thank you for any responses!

HELLO new and old people!
General | Posted 11 years agoHi new watchers! Thanks a lot for watching me even if I haven't been active. That's basically the story of my life on here, isn't it. I swear I post the same journals every 4 or 5 months.
I appreciate everyone who continue to watch me as well--I haven't abandoned this account, but I feel like I'm really only motivated to post a lot of I get commissions or participate in like... art blogs...or if I'm drawing for friends.... which basically boils down to me drawing if I have outside motivation rather than just drawing for fun. That kind of sucks because I want to draw for myself, but I sort of don't care enough to. Oh well.
I would like to open commissions, but I'll wait until I post more recent art to do so. Just in case anyone's interested! I like how they make me draw more often. I also started experimenting with my watercolors again so it's been motivating me to color digitally. Let's see what happens.
Christmas is so close, so whether or not you celebrate that or another holiday I hope you guys have a fantastic week.

I'm back again guys hello
General | Posted 11 years agoHELLO NEW WATCHERS! Thanks for watching me even if i haven't updated at all in the last few months.... :'D
I've been working pretty much full time at my job lately which doesn't leave me much time for art. It's in the food service industry... and I'm very introverted.....and we're almost always busy.... so basically after spending all day talking and being SUPER! friendly to people I've just wanted to go home and stare at the wall. I've been way too mentally exhausted to do anything or take on any commissions because of that haha.
I realized I should have put that I was closed when it came to commissions, so I apologize to anyone who was interested but didn't get a reply! I'm planning on taking classes this fall semester, so I'll either quit the job I'm at now or just work one day a week soon. That'll give me more time to draw :D :D :D yyyeeeeaaaaahh
Anyhow, that's just a quick update. Hope everyone is having a fantastic day!

Other Websites I'm On/Different Ways to Contact Me
General | Posted 12 years agoTumblr - yottabytes
I post the same things on tumblr as I do here as well as sketches, WIPS, small doodles, and random other things. Tumblr is my main place to post art and I think I'm a bit more active on there than here.
Weasyl - zayger
A few people I liked watching here has moved there so I made an account. I'll probably be posting around the same art on here and on there, but depening on how everything turns out with the new FA overhaul/mass exodus/community on both websites, I might start preferring one over the other. Who knows though.
E-Mail - noodlebyte[at]gmail.com
Most direct way to contact me since it goes to my phone's e-mail app.
Then there's a couple of other art/general websites I go to, but I'm rarely active on there anymore so I wont mention it. (´−`) ンー

Quick Update!
General | Posted 12 years agoHelloooo all!
I just started a full-time job, so before when my commissions used to take about 1-2 days to complete they now may take about a week or two to finish once I receive pay. It'd be cool to draw art as a living, but until I establish myself more and hopefully go to conventions to get my name out there I wont be able to haha.
Merry christmas to everyone also! Happy holidays! Hope it's been great for everyone. I'll get started on the commissions I have now, so those who are waiting for stuff should get it soon. Thanks for your patience!

Commission Queue
General | Posted 12 years agoI love you all rambling nonsense
General | Posted 12 years agoI wanted to throw this out there because I keep randomly thinking about it and feeling bad now that I'm more active online haha. This applies to dA and anywhere I post my art really.
But I really appreciate the watches, favorites, and comments I get! I may not reply to most of them unless a direct response is needed or could be given, but I read them all and store them away in a special part of my soul. I was always terrible at receiving complements irl because I'd stutter and get all shy and was probably way too humble (though I'm becoming more graceful now. slowly but surely. I realized it kind of sucks to compliment someone and always have it be deflected or never accepted that you like something about them), but saying "thank you!" more than a few times still makes me feel like I'm being insincere because my response isn't unique to everyone and I wish it could be. Then I end up replying only to a few to keep my sanity
(´_`)
So I apologize if any of you ever think I'm ignoring you. I love everything I receive. However, if you do need something or need to ask me a question I'll definitely do everything I can to reply!
Thanks~ :D

Commission ToS
General | Posted 12 years agoRevised 15 May 2013
Terms of Service
Everything listed in this ToS is subject to change. Your commission is not affected if I accepted it prior to the update.
Subject Matter
- I will draw:
Anything clean
Anything animal-y, preferably quads and bipedal
Fan characters
Cute couple stuff
- I will not draw:
Humans
Anthros that really lean toward being human. Like they have more human-like faces.
Anything explicit (nudity, sex, etc etc)
Most fetishes (contact me to ask if you have questions)
Robots, cars, mechanical things, stuff that are shiny, have lots of parts, or have sharp or incredibly smooth edges
- I'm best at drawing:
Furry things, namely canines
More feral looking characters
Stuff that looks good in my gallery
Required Information
- A visual reference is greatly preferred. If not, either provide a detailed written description or I’ll keep hounding you for all the details I need before I start.
- A general idea of what you want the commission to look like such as a pose or expression. Like “cute happy bunny eating a carrot.” If you don’t, then I may either get their personality wrong or just make a boring, even more generic pose.
- The type of art you’d like such as sketch, lineart, bust shot, etc. If you don’t see me offer it, ask and maybe I’ll do it! I probably don’t offer it specifically because I either don’t have time for it or I just don’t have good examples and I don’t feel like making one.
Pricing and Payment
- I only accept USD through paypal.
- Actual prices are subject to change and will be posted in another document.
- For anything less than $30, please expect to pay in full before I begin your commission.
- Anything above $30 will be half up front and the rest after the client approves the sketch.
- Very complex designs may be subject to extra charges. I’ll let you know beforehand!
- You are given two chances to modify your commission once I’ve already begun drawing it. After that, $5+ for each change depending on how extensive the modification is and when it is during the process.
- Once we've agreed upon a commission, send me your e-mail and I'll give you an invoice. I'll get started after payment is received!
Communication
- Either note or e-mail me ( noodlebyte[at]gmail.com ), but keep in mind that the noting system is apparently iffy on properly sending/receiving notes so e-mail is most likely more reliable.
- I will give updates on the status of the commission, either in a journal, through e-mail/notes, or on my front page, at least three times: one for starting the sketch, one for completing the sketch, and one for completion of the commission. If I have any other questions regarding design, colors, etc. I will contact you.
- You will have two chances to change anything about your commission, but only one of those chances can be used after the commission is completed and it must not be an extensive modification, e.g., background change, pose change, or style change.
- For an example change during the sketch phase you can request a different sketch, an added small design, different expression, etc.
- Examples for when I’ve already completed the commission are changing colors, minor changes to style, or an added object/prop that does not affect the overall pose. This is up to my discretion and will be discussed before any approval.
- Anything past the two changes will be charged an extra fee which is specified in the Pricing and Payments section.
- Also once you approve the final image you cannot come back later for a modification on said image.
- If this part is confusing, let me know and I’ll happily clarify! This is probably unnecessarily lengthy, but I feel like it’s one of those “just in case” sort of things.
Cancellations and Refunds
- I will not be giving out refunds unless I believe I can no longer complete your commission in a timely manner due to life events, school, work, emergencies, or an act of God.
- Conversely, you can request one if it’s been two months since your payment and if your commission hasn’t been completed. This does not, however, guarantee a refund, but I’m pretty reasonable.
- For a possible full refund, I must not have started the commission at all.
- For a partial refund, I would have already begun the sketch, begun outlining, or begun coloring. How much you will get back will depend on how much of the commission I have completed already. So if I have already completed the sketch, I will keep the amount that I usually charge for sketches and you’ll be given the rest. This will be discussed beforehand.
- You cannot request a refund once I’ve already completed and/or given the piece of art to you.
- You cannot cancel a commission once you’ve given payment. Refer above if you would like to consider trying for refund.
Usage
- You may not use my commissioned art commercially or for resale.
- You may not claim the artwork as your own.
- I will not claim whatever subject matter is in the artwork as my own.
- Once you’ve gotten the okay from me (I’ll most likely say yes 100% of the time), you may post it on a personal website or page, but you must link back to one of my accounts (tumblr, FA, or DA) and explicitly say it was drawn by whatever account you listed.
- I reserve the right to post the artwork on my personal websites and possibly use it as future commission examples unless you explicitly request me not to.
