Is anyone else not able to connect, or does it just hate me today (again)?

Is there anyone who would be able to help me out in getting a few photos of the Church of St Cuthbert in Wells? It needs to be high quality and high resolution (not a snapshot; I'm talking stock-quality), and at a VERY specific angle, preferably around dusk.

I'm going to be very picky about this, since it's going to be used as a background for a scene I plan on doing.

There will be compensation.

I decided a little bit ago that I wanted to watch Hot Fuzz; a film which is easily amongst my Top 5 Ever, and it's for this reason that I have an .avi copy of it on a hard drive that my Xbox can see. If I decide I want to watch it, it's right there in my Media Centre.

So, I queue everything up, and the sounds off. On an AVI file, which is just weird to me. I mean, yeah, it's probably only going to be background noise, but still. Sometimes, I do like to actually watch it. D:


Granted, this is also the movie that I have twice on DVD (Region 1 and Region 2, because the special features are different). I just don't have the software for ripping DVDs any more, and I fear wearing out the DVDs. Especially now, since I managed to somehow wear out an AVI file. >:(

So, is going out of town shortly, and needed some laundry done for it.

I go down to do the laundry, and the wash cycle goes just fine. But when I put the coins in the dryer, I find that they've reduced the cycle length.

BY TWENTY MINUTES.

What the fuck is this fuckery? This means that

1. My clothes, which were usually dry with one cycle, are not dry,
2. If I want them dry, I need to pay another dollar to run the dryer for another hour, when the missing 20 minutes would suffice,
3. And since I really don't feel like giving them another dollar, my shower curtain rod is now full of damp clothing,
4. Which means that my poor husband cannot take a shower when he wakes up for work in a few hours.

This is ridiculous, and the only really big complaint I have about living here. This is the last time I live somewhere without a washer and dryer in-unit. D:

Anyway, this means that neglected trades and commissions can get back to gear, because I've finally found your notes! I went from six pages of crap to about 10 notes total. Woo!

People were missing the point of it, hugely, so I took it down.

I was complaining about sending me notes that just contain "thanks for the watch/fave." That's something that goes in the shoutbox. Notes are for private conversations.

Because I've been getting some questions about this lately, I'm gonna clear a few things up:


Yes, I use a template on them. The purpose behind this is because I'm only charging $5 for them, and the template lets me do the icons in about 10 minutes or so.

No, the template is NOT set in stone. I use a template so that they're fast, but not everybody has a character that looks the same as everyone else's. If you'd like, I can deviate from the template within reason (there have been some really cute deviations, too). Deviating from the template means that it will take a little longer to get your icon, but it's still $5.

No, you are not limited to just canine and feline characters. Most of them have been canine or feline (or at least used the template for one of them, which is the case with my icon), but I've also done dragons and even Bowser. I can do horses and rabbits and anything else, because it's very easy to modify my template.

And Yes, they're still open. They probably won't ever officially close, since I don't ever delete anything.



So, to sum up, these icons are still available if you want one! Don't feel like you have to be left out because your character isn't a fox or something. :D

So, you're probably wondering by this point what you have to do to enter the contest, aren't you? It's a simple one. Just draw any of my characters doing something; anything, so long as it's WORK SAFE (a stipulation I feel I have to add since I'm hosting this contest on both dA and FA).

RULES:

Entry must be work safe.
Entry must contain at least one of my recurring characters. Since I have far too many to list here, feel free to contact me with any questions you have.
Character/s must be doing something (standing or sitting in a pose doesn't count).
Entries should be uploaded to either your FA or your dA gallery, and then noted to me.
Contest ends May 20th. Results will be posted and winners notified May 27th.
