Gaiz, I'm sad
Posted 12 years agoYeah. I really don't know how much more I can take. My whole body hurts from all this stress: my chest, my stomach, my back, my knees. I want to just drop and die if it means all this hurt can go away.
I'm sorry, gaiz. I'm complaining. I don't need to. These past few months have just been... trying, to say the least. It's been a long time since I last felt care free or stress free. But it's nobody's fault but my own.

WARNING TO ALL SKYPE USERS!!!! [Trojan Virus]
Posted 12 years agothis is copied from
Marbles journal:
Ok, for all you Skype users out there, their is a new Virus going around where you get the message form someone "This is my favorite picture of you" followed by a link.
Clicking the link downloads a trojan executable file to your system that runs whenever you run Skype.
This Trojan will spam others with the link AND download Malware onto your system.
Sadly even I got in affection (and I have a masters in this crap).
Even better, Virus Scanner's don't detect the Trojan since it's a simple script executable.
It's a local hack/override of your Skype, not a true account hack but changing your password is still a good idea.
Anyways, if you're infected.. this is how you fix the program..
In Skype application
Go to, Tools >> Options... >> Advanced Settings
Click Manage other programs' access to skype
Remove any unknown application (if any)
TURN OFF SKYPE
download malwarebytes File Assassin
http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/fileassassin/
Run FileASSASSIN tool to delete the all exe file found under AppData directory
C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming
Yourname will be your name. For me it's Marbles, etc etc.
restore performance counter setting from backup (If any)
After you have used malwarebytes then do this online scan. This is to make sure you have nothing else hiding away.
http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/
RESET & CHANGE YOUR SKYPE PASSWORD
https://login.skype.com/account/pas.....-reset-request
(I say do this after ALL the other steps to make sure your system and account are clean, no reason to log back in with a new password only to have it get stolen.)

Gaiz, I think I'm Ratarded [in regards to Moby Dick]
Posted 12 years agoOkay, for a class assignment, we had to write a letter to captain Ahab from Moby Dick. I switched some words around from the song "She Will be Loved" by Maroon 5.
Well, here's what an hour of good humor and dim wits produces:
"You Will Be Lunch"
Started whaling at only eighteen
You had some trouble with yourself
you were always there to chase me
you never listened to no one else
You sailed for miles and miles
And chased me with an oar
I've had you so few times and right now
I want more
I don't mind spending everyday
Swimmin' the ocean with these hunger pains
Look for the whale with the crooked jaw
Ask him if it's your leg that he gnawed
And you will be lunch
You will be lunch
Harpoon my right fluke lance me in the heart
Try but you will never get vengence
I already got your one leg in me now
and I want some more right now
It's not always sailors or first mates
It's captains that moves me along, yeah
My teeth are dull and my mouth's always open
To eat you anytime I want
I don't mind spending everyday
Swimmin' the ocean with these hunger pains
Look for the whale with the crooked jaw
Ask him if it's your leg he gnawed
And you will be lunch
and You will be lunch
And you will be lunch
And you will be lunch
I know where you hide
Alone on your deck
Know all of the things to make you taste delish
I know that stirfry is not possible
so I'll just eat you the next time that you fall
Harpoon my right fluke lance me through the heart
Try but you'll never get vengence
I don't mind spending everyday
Swimmin' the ocean with these hunger pains
Look for the whale with the crooked jaw
Ask him if it's your leg he gnawed
And you will be lunch
and You will be lunch
And you will be lunch
and you will be lunch
[in the background]
Please don't try so hard to stay so thin
Please don't try so hard to stay so thin
Yeah
[softly]
I don't mind spending everyday
Swimmin' the ocean with these hunger pains

Wild Nights! [Concerning Rides again]
Posted 12 years agoJust gonna try asking again: anybody either need a ride or have space for an extra? I can give multiple people rides if needed, I just need enough people willing to contribute for gas. And if not, then I still would like a ride, as driving myself is both inefficient and boring :/
Either/or would be highly appreciated!
Also, again, anyfur from Kansas with extra room, PLEASE get ahold of
Zahzu , PLEASE! I would seriously love you. To death. Forever. In sickness and in health. In good times and bad. So help me God. I now pronounce you man and wife.
Wait, wut?

Books of the American Culture [Must Reads, in other words]
Posted 12 years agoBeing one of the literary persuasion, I thought it due process to express my love of literature and all things of the written word. I've never been good at anything in my life except for possibly reading and writing--I take that back. I've never been able to meet or surpass my own standards in anything but reading and writing. I'll never call myself a mastermind of the literary work or a great misunderstood crafter of prose, however I still find myself marvelling how I was able to write various stories years back, or reviews over stories I had read, or anything written down on paper in general.
However, anyone who calls the ability to craft word from understanding life a gift, I can only humor your misinformed disillusionment. It is truly a curse, in my own personal belief through studying the greatest authors to have touched pen to paper and through personal experience. It is truly a curse, in that strange way of abstracted men or women, never looking up at world, but looking down into the world. Predominating over the shadow and shade of the cat-tails of human tendency, able to pin it and resound its countenance.
Yet never able to step on one's own tail and trip into that two way glass of a floor the abstracted men and women of the world stare into.
Examples are truly countless: Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Poe, Melville, King (if you truly believe him to be of this order, I suppose; to me, he's more a guilty pleasure).
But in regard to such literary genius, I wanted to compose my list of favorite literary novels, starting from bottom to top:
Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes:
A very particular book, in deed. I personally loved it, pulling from it the desire of knowledge, yet the knowledge that the pursuit only dims the experience. I suppose it's also about not exactly growing up through life, but the importance of the outlook through life. The story is written through a series of journal entries by the protagonist, Charlie Gordon, a mentally retarded man who works as a janitor and attends a school for mentally ill adults. It follows him as he undergoes a surgery aimed to improve his intelligence, which is a very obvious factor in the novel as he writes and improves. But not only does it follow his rapid incline of IQ, but his newfound emotions and sexual desires, almost an adult puberty. I don't want to give away the end of the story for those who have not read it, for it's an amazing read.
Animal Farm by George Orwell:
I read this whole book in one night, honestly. I fell into its story and its message which is truly historic. Written by the same author of 1981, this novel takes place on an animal farm where the animals rise up against the farmers and rebel. Their leaders are the highly intelligent pigs who plan for their new world of control over the farm. Orwell, having been a journalist behind The Iron Curtain of the USSR, saw the horrors of the communist regime and wrote under the pen name Orwell (I don't remember his real name, sorry). The farm is supposed to represent Russia, the animals the citizens of Russia, and the pigs are the various political parties. The book really tells the history of the USSR in very grimy, shocking manner. Granted most people probably already know of the horrendous regime at this time, at the time this book was written, it was not. Again, another greatly recommended book.
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury:
I can't think of any novel that expresses my thoughts on today's culture better than this. This novel follows a firefighter named Guy. Of course, in this novel, firefighters don't put out fires: firefighters start them. In a country where books are no longer allowed, the only answer is to burn them. The very name of the book is even the temperature at which paper burns! It's highly interesting to pull all the parallels between the government of this novel with our own.
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald:
After having had to read this book three times and write a 2000+ word paper over it, I have to say that this book is now one of my top favorites, and I sympathize with the author wholeheartedly. The book in itself is the American ideal almost. It's such a powerful piece of work that to not consider it of a significant importance to our American culture is highly faulted. The novel is narrated by a Nick Carraway, a man who moves from the mid-west to the east coast in order to pursue a career at bond trading. Although it is told by Nick, the story is adherently about Gatsby, a bootlegging millionaire whose sole purpose is to regain the love of his now married teenage sweetheart, Daisy Buchanan. The novel literally has anything and everything a reader could desire: booze, partying, music, easy girls, rich and powerful people, money, gangsters, murder, the American Dream. I could personally talk for hours about this book. But I won't.
Lord of the Flies by William Golding:
Gatsby is one of my favorites of all times, but this book is still right above it. This book probably appeals to me so much because of my natural belief that a person never knows what they are really like until put into a situation of survival. The book is quite simply about a group of young boys stranded on an island trying to survive. I don't even want to talk about this book too much, for it was one that made a big impact on me. Lets just part with that young children have wild imaginations that can sometimes get the better of their own situations.
Of course, there are many other books I would highly suggest, though I regret to having not read them yet: Moby Dick, For Whom the Bell Tolls, etc...

OMG I think this is going to kill me....
Posted 12 years agoThe Great Gatsby term paper. It's inexplicably the devil. I've got very little written, but at least I just finished setting up all of my resources and now all I have to do is finish organizing everything and write it all out, all 1500-2000 words of it -_-
Yay, that's my favorite....
I've got till Friday morning to have everything written out, cited, corrected, and patched together fluidly. Oh, it's on.

ANTHROCON!!!!!!!!
Posted 12 years agoAhh, fuck yeah, I'm planning big for my birthday this year, and Anthrocon happens to be like the weekend after my birthday! I'm gonna channel any and all money from here on out to do just that!
The only thing I'm really needing assistance with is all the logistics:
What day should I leave OK?
Where should I stay?
How can I get around everywhere?
Do I know anybody I could room with?
Would I be able to schedule my plane ride with anybody else?
Things like this are on my mind right now as far as planning this out. I REEEEAAAALLLLYYY want to go, considering it's also the fourth of July and all. If anybody could possibly help me out in planning things, I'd be suuuuupppeeeeeer greatfull and appreciative!
Here's for hoping for Anthrocon!

Anyone Want to Help Me Run Again?
Posted 12 years agoAs some of you know, I used to run. A lot. I ran like crazy every day during the spring and summer and fall last year, then I stopped during the winter due to the cold and some harsh bouts of narcoleptic induced depression. But even though it's warming up outside every day and I'm working less and less, I'm still not feeling motivated to run. But I know I need to run. I really need to run.
My point being, I think if I had someone who maybe wanted to pick up running (or jogging or biking or hell, I'd even love just walking about outside), I think it might not only help me get over my last little bit of winter woes but also help me get back in shape and lose that winter weight.
I'd also be willing to help anyone else out who wants to start maybe doing some cardio or just wants someone to run alongside.

I NEED VOCALS!!! [Possible Contest]
Posted 12 years agoSooo, I'm wanting to remix some vocals into my music, and the songs I want just vocals for nobody really does them well :/
My point is that I want vocals of Maroon 5 songs, Cold Play songs, and possibly others, too! If anyone on here sings and would like to record themselves singing the vocals of any song, I will happily use those vocals in a song! I'll even make a contest of it if people are interested. Something like whoever has the best vocals of a particular song I will make them gift music of whatever they want. Usually something like a genre or cover or what not.
Preez! I would be very, very appreciative!

Anybody Going to Wild Nights?
Posted 12 years agoFirst off, my awesomely amazing friend
Zahzu is needing a ride from Kansas to Wild Nights here in April. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! She doesn't take up much room and is a joy to hang around!
Second, if I don't get a ride myself, I'm willing to work with anyone if they would like a ride. I've got a pretty spacious truck, so the more the merrier! Also, it would greatly help with gas if I did have lots of people :P

If someone anonymously gives you a Valentine's gift...
Posted 12 years agoAnd you fucking know who gave it to you, just because you know their handwriting, and you think the poem they wrote for it was funny, don't fucking act like you don't know who gave it to you to their face, then turn around to everyone else and tell them alllll about it.
It wasn't a joke. I was being sincere. I wanted to make you happy, hoping it would in turn make me happy. But no.
Fucking cunt. I hope you at least liked it.
Happy S.A.D., everyone.

New Sax=Happy Weasel (Or some other bull like that)
Posted 12 years agoFinally, after many years of practice, years of heart break and a few months of searching and pulling teeth for the money, I now have a really fucking awesome saxophone.
Today, I just payed the final bit of what I owed for a Selmer Paris Super Action 80. Now, by no means is this that "ideal" saxophone I wanted (i.e. a Selmer Mark VI), HOWEVER, this saxophone is very close to what I wanted. It is made by the same company, it's a bit older but in great condition, and its acoustic build is to die for. This sax was by far worth the four G's I dumped into it.
The store I got it (Horn Trader off of Western and Reno) was also awesome enough to repair my old saxophone. And by repair, hol shit did they repair it! Not only did they recork it, which is a huge pain in the ass, but they also repaired the goose neck cause it got squished and replaced ten pads. Doesn't seem like a big deal, but considering repadding a tenor completely costs $500 alone and they nearly replaced half of them for only a hundred makes it a HUGE deal. They are definitely the coolest people in the world. They made my old tenor sing like lark and my Selmer sing like bird of paradise.
All in all, today was amazing just from my new saxophone. I played it in a Wal-Mart parking lot with a friend and some of his friends and I loved it so much. It presents its own set of new challenges, but it is still far more tonal and responsive than my old sax.
I will post pictures sometimes later, maybe tomorrow.

I haven't Posted Shit in Forever
Posted 13 years agoRealized I haven't really done that much here as far as contributing for a long time.
SO, this'll be a bit of a multiple over-do journal over school, Oklacon, the Not-So-Single life, and Thanksgiving.
First and foremost, Oklacon:
Had a BLAST! it was definitely a great con :3 Left Wednesday evening with
TigerSammich and arrived a little later to meet up with some great friends from Louisianna and Wales :3 Spent the first night since Furry Fiesta with the greatest puppy ever,
Torrofuz, and spent some much needed time with him. I think we held hands the entire con <3<3<3 Thursday we kinda jsut hung around all day. Wasn't too much going on really. Friday things picked up. Woke up early with Torro and we went into town and ate at this nice little restraunt. I loved it! I felt so funny sitting next to Torro, eating breakfast with all these small town folk around us. Mad me wonder if everyone just figured we were siblings or something :P When we got back, I dressed in some of my adorable girly clothes and got my make up done by
HazelHeart Then I helped
ThatGreenMonster with the iron artist challenge. We had to make towns out of all these different craft stuff and boxes so then a fursuiter could crash through them. Later that night, We went to the dance but didn't really dance as Torro was out of it and I was not in the mood to dance. Saturday we all hung out and I got my commissioned badges from Hazard. Went to the dance again, but didn't dance really. Hung out with a few of Sammich's friends in their hotel room and drank and ate and had a pretty fun time. Sunday was the most depressing day ever 3: I waited till as late as possible to leave. I took Sammich back to my place and we were followed by Torro and Toby and we all day dinner in my town.
Probably the most memorable good bye ever: getting kissed outside your place of work just before he gets into his car to leave for a state that's too far away </3
I can NOT wait for TFF :3 I am planning on going and getting to see al my great furry friends once again.
School:
Not much as far as school goes. Still got A's surprisingly. Still participating in the music program. Been doing a lot of programming in my computer class. I passed round one in a series of auditions for a state wide band. Hoping I do well on the next audition.
Not-So-Single Life:
I got a girl friend. We met in the band. She is a furry, though not involved in the community. Her fur name is Alesana. I honestly don't know what's going to happen as it makes me so incredibly confused.
Thanksgiving:
Meh, wasn't very interesting. Didn't even see family or have a dinner. Family was sick. But my girlfriend came over and we hung out for a bit. Thought of a lot things I'm thankful for.
Welp, that's it I suppose. Happy Holidays and yup.
SO, this'll be a bit of a multiple over-do journal over school, Oklacon, the Not-So-Single life, and Thanksgiving.
First and foremost, Oklacon:
Had a BLAST! it was definitely a great con :3 Left Wednesday evening with
