It has recently been brought to my attention that someone has been selling stickers of my corn snake art. My art is only available on products through my Redbubble store! If you see them for sale any where else, they are being sold without my permission!

I’m tiered. Tiered of so many things. Tiered of things going wrong. I’m not okay. I haven’t been okay for a while. I’m usually an optimist. I try to always look for the bright side of things, but I can’t even muster up the energy for that.

Things have not gone well for a few years now and this pandemic situation just feels like the nail in the coffin.

I’m sorry I’ve been so silent here, but there’s just been so much going on in life. We got sick. Really sick. back in March, 3 of us got so sick we were out of commission for weeks. The baby almost had to go to be in the hospital. It was scary. Unfortunately this was a time where people were still only getting tested if you met very specific criteria, so there’s no telling exactly what we had. We’re all okay (ish) now though, and that’s what really matters. Well hopefully keep being okay with any luck.

Anyway, this has all been so draining. I have no energy for art. My creativity well is dry. I can’t even bring myself to sit at the computer and open photoshop. I’ve sat staring at a blank piece of paper for I don’t know how long.

I’m sure I’ll be back. I just don’t know when.

I know I’ll get better. I just really don’t know when.

Hey everyone! I am so so sorry for the delay with getting commissions done! We had some unexpected things pop up that took entire too long to take care of as well as some mental health issues in the family. We’ve got things back under control though finally, or so I hope. Heeeeeeyyyyy Everybody! long time so see! The move went... okay. Some things went really smooth and better than expected, others... not so much. Which is the reason for my delayed return. New tablet came in, got it all hooked up and working with no issues. WOO!
Its a little bigger than my last one and there's a smaller space between the screen and glass, so that's gonna take a little getting used to, but hopefully you'll get to see art again soon. :) I've got a bunch of ideas for cute animal art.

HAPPY DAY! I FINALLY found my copy of Photoshop! I'm so relieved. i was not looking forward to learning a new program. Haha.

Like literally. I don't know what I did with my disk when we moved last year. We've been having some issues with out computer for a while and my husband decided to just wipe it and upgrade the OS. Which would have been fine under any other circumstances.
So anyway. Expect art delays until I can figure out what I did with my PS5 disk, because I can't afford photoshop CS, and I think that's a rip off anyway.
Maybe it's time to make the switch to Paint Tool Sai? I've been avoiding because I'll have to learn a whole new program and after SO MANY years in PS it's just going to be a huge headache for me.

There has been.... a uh... a LOT going on around here. AAAaaaand it's not done yet. New home, new furry family member, lost one we had but got her back. been through a deployment, and yeah. That's the short version. There's a ton of other stuff, and like I said, life is still changing for us. But I am finally getting back to art. So maybe you'll see some stuff from me soon.

Sorry I've been so inactive lately. I'm hoping to change that soon, but I've just been so exhausted lately! I thought I would have more free time after my daughter started school, buuuuuuutttt, as it turns out I'm pregnant again! So I've got that first trimester exhaustion setting in. I pretty much sleep while my daughter has her half day at school. LOL. But I'll be moving out of the first trimester soon, and hopefully with that will have more energy for art!!!!! *crossing fingers*

hubs finally got the computer up and running again!!!!! And even better, his friend gave him another monitor hes got set up already. So if you include my graphics tablet, we've got three!! @__@ IDK where to look while I work! Which might not be for another day or so. I've still gotta re-install all my programs and drivers for the tablet and all that jazz.

Hello everyone it's been a while. There has been a severe lack of art lately and I'm hoping to remedy that WITH A NEW TABLET! *happy dance* Finally got some money back that we were owed and I finally got to order my (Very late by now) Birthday present. A Yiynova 19U+! I'm supper excited for it to get here! I'll be checking the tracking number a million times a day I'm sure!

On a more serious note: My daughter. As some may remember my daughter didn't talk for a very long time and even now Sign Language is her preferred form of communication, though her speech is getting much better. Well today our speech therapist talked to me about how she's noticed many sensory issues during their twice weekly sessions and she wants to refer us to an OT for a sensory exam. Once we do that we'll know for sure if she has sensory processing disorder or not. While reading up on it, I can totally see where she is coming from. (It's not something I knew much about until recently.) It explains a lot of my daughters quirks or strange aversions that I thought were just Saoirse-isms. It explains why bath time makes her scream like you've dumped lava on her when even just a little water runs down her face, or why putting on a hoodie can become a 5 minute struggle if it covers her face for more than .5 seconds. (Seriously it's zip-ups or nothing with this kid! Or you have to stretch the neck wide enough that it passes over her face faster than a lightning strike!)She also thinks that some of my daughters picky eating can be contributed to this issue as well. We'll know more once the referral goes though and the OT contacts me to scheduled an eval.

Just got a call from the Vet. Biskits is done with surgery. He's recovering well and already sitting up in his kennel. Vet says that it's up to us if we want to send the tumors off for a biopsy, because that they look like nothing more than fatty tumors. (A good thing!) The larger one was bigger than they thought though because instead of just sitting in the fat, it penetrated the muscle and went all the way to the ribs. He said he got the major part of it, but it's likely that it already sent out little roots and that a new one will probably grow there in the future. We just have to keep an eye on the area and try to catch it before it gets too big. The smaller lump was only in the fat and is unlikely to regrow. And that's where we are now. He'll stay at the vet for a few more hours for observation and we can pick him up between 3 and 4. C:

I've enjoyed a wonderful week and a half with Biskits, only to go to the vet today to find out he has two tumors on his chest that need to be removed. :C

While Biskits was able to fly back to the states in January, he's been staying with my mom this whole time. We talked last night and today and got all the arrangements made and she will be flying with him to Texas on the 11th of February! I'm so excited! I can't wait! X3 I've missed my baby boy so much!!!!!!!!!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

He left Okinawa for Tokyo at about 4:30am US Central time, and left Tokyo for Los Angeles at about 9:00am US Central time. He will be landing in the states at around 7:00pm US Central time.

If anyone missed the previously update, we are not able to go out this month to get him due to some time and money restrictions. (We barley scrapes up the money to get his ticket and not go into the negatives.) Instead my mom is driving out to pick him up and will be keeping him at her house until we can go get him!

This is Biskits. Biskits is an 8 year old mutt who I've had since he was a puppy. 4 ½ years ago when we moved to Japan, I was given bad information about getting him imported and had to leave him in the states. It took 6 months to get him back and import him into Japan. At that time I swore that I would be better prepared for when we left so the same thing wouldn't happen. And I was... or so I thought. I asked all the right questions and did all the research I could, and despite the uncertainty of a lot of our moving process I thought I had all the right info. But it only took one person's miss information, and a week before we were supposed to fly I found out he could not come with us. So when we moved, I had to leave him in another country... again! I was totally and completely heartbroken!


This time I'm fortunate enough to get him back in a month and a half's time, and in January I will be able to drive to California to pick him up. The bad news is that what was supposed to only cost $200-$400 is now going to cost us almost $2,000! This move has already been stressful for us financially, and this last expense will completely drain us.


To try and make up for some of the cost, I am opening for $10 sketch commissions, as many as I can get. Why only sketches? For starters, sketches have the fasted turn around and I can get more done in a shorter amount of time. Second, the desktop I usually use to work on is on a boat in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and wont get here until almost February, and the laptop we have currently is not powerful enough to do what I usually do. That said, if some one is willing to pay more for a larger commission now, and willing to wait until February to receive it, I would be more than willing to do that as well.


Here is how things will work. If you are interested please e-mail me at Zhentee[at]gmail.com with the subject “Commission for Biskits” This way I can sort those e-mails out from everything else and give them priority. $10 will get you one character. So if you would like more than one in an image, or multiple separate commissions, it will be $10 each. In the e-mail let me know 1. How many characters or images you would like. 2. What e-mail address I can send a pay-pal invoice to. 3. Include links or attach file references of your character(s). I can do humans, animal, anthros, or mythical creatures. It's not limited to OCs either, I will do sketches of your pets or whatever you want. Once I receive payment I will put you on the list, and work in order. Images will then be e-mailed to you. You will get a small image file suitable for posting to the internet, and a high-res file that you can do whatever you want with. Color it, give it to some one else to color, or just print it out and put it on your wall to enjoy, it's up to you.
