General | Posted 15 years agoIn the last few days I've gotten 14 new watchers.
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm very glad, I'm just wondering where you guys are all coming from! So if you could please tell me how you found me, or if art of me has been posted somewhere, I would be most appreciative! :3

1. Do you like animals?
Wouldn't be on a furry site if I didn't, now would I?
2. Have you ever met an online friend in person?
Just one. See question 17.
3. Are you athletic?
Nope. Never have been and I probably never will be.
4. Are you: thin, fat, athletically built etc:
I wouldn't say I'm morbidly obese but I'm overweight for sure. Food is just too damn tasty!
5. How much do you weigh?
Haven't a clue.
6. What's your height?
See above.
7. Shoe size?
An 8, I think.
8. Girls - are you tomboyish, girly, normal, etc?
I love shopping, shoes, and talking about boys. Also, math is hard! Teehee!
10. How old are you?
26
11. When is your birthday?
January 16th, 1984
12. Do you like to receive giftart?
Gee, lemme thing about that... how about hell yes?
13. Are you sociable?
That's a hard question to answer...sometimes I am, sometimes I'm not. Depends on who's with me I suppose.
14. Do you have many friends?
I wouldn't say I have many friends.
15. What's your race?
White as the driven snow, British and Scottish ancestry.
16. Do you like to talk on the phone?
No. No. A thousand times no. I despise the phone, I despise talking on the phone, I despise answering the phone, I despise taking phone messages, and I most definitely despise calling people. I've been that way for as long as I can remember.
17. Are you single or taken?
ryskhyrsal <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
18. Do you eat meat?
Fairly often.
19. Are you paranoid?
I wouldn't be if the CIA would just quit beaming their fucking messages into my brain!
20. Do you read a lot?
I used to read a ton when I was younger, now, not so much. I used to be a huge Star Wars fan and would buy the books quite often. Episode 1 kind of killed that for me, soooo.... less reading going on. The internet has kinda done a number on it too.
21. Do you listen to music, what kind?
If you don't listen to music, I don't think you have a soul.
Anime and game soundtracks mostly, though my collection is pretty sparse on the whole squeaky-voiced J-pop thing.
22. Do you play any instruments?
I used to play the flute. I kinda wish I hadn't sold it. :/
23. How long have you been drawing?
I used to be very artistic when I was little, but eventually I lost interest. I tried taking it up again a few years ago but gave up on it.
24. What's the meaning of life?
I'm sure it's just a coincidence that 24 is 42 backwards.
25. Now tag four of your friends! (I couldn't think of a fifth.)

If you do, he'll show you pictures of his dong. From what I have heard it is quite large.
(Not really. But you'll get a nice piece of art for only ten dollars. X3)

Update on the guinea pig
General | Posted 16 years agoSome good news.
The vet offered to amputate Lily's leg for no charge. I think that was the first time I'd ever heard something that actually made my jaw drop. All I had to pay were the hospital fees. Needless to say I was thrilled!
Anyway, that was about a week ago, and she's recovering very well. We still have to get the staples removed sometime soon, though. I'll post pictures of her once that's happened.

please help...
General | Posted 16 years agoI feel like a total leech for asking this...but...I don't really know what else to do.
Two days ago, my guinea pig broke her leg, and we have no idea how. We got her up to the vet and they had a look at her. Turns out it's quite a bad break, and there are only a few ways to deal with it.
They could put a splint on it, which would have to be changed every few weeks, and is extremely awkward for her. Each change would cost several hundred dollars.
They could amputate it, which would obviously solve the problem immediately. This would cost at least a thousand dollars.
I can't afford either of those.
The only other option is euthanasia, which is completely insane. Besides her leg, she's perfectly healthy.
So...what I'm asking, is if anyone out there could help me. I know this is asking for a lot from the denizens of the internet, but...I have nowhere to turn, and she is my only pet. I don't have the money to help her, and I don't want to lose her...

A quick question for my watchers, new and old
General | Posted 16 years agoLately I've been getting a lot more watchers. While this is nice and all, I'm left wondering just where all of you guys are coming from. Just how are you guys stumbling across my gallery? :3
Here we go again...
General | Posted 17 years agoRys is back in the hospital.
For about a week, maybe more, he's been having bad stomach pains. On Valentine's Day, it evidently got so bad that he had to be hospitalized. I didn't find this out until about 11PM that night, after calling his cel about a dozen times.
Now I've learned that what they thought was causing the pain (blood clots in his leg) wasn't causing it after all, and they're going to have to give him an endoscopy. If that doesn't turn up anything, they'll have to send him back over to Oahu for even more tests.
I just want my boyfriend back.

Update on Rys' accident
General | Posted 17 years agoSo, I've finally gotten to talk with Rys a bit on the phone, and let me tell you, what a relief that was! We were only out of touch for about a day, but it felt like an eternity, knowing the condition he was in.
Here's what I've learned so far:
- His ankle, toe, sternum, leg, and hip are all broken. He thinks he should be out of the hospital in about a week.
- The person who was in the car with him (a friend who he was driving home) suffered internal bleeding.
-He was in surgery for 6 hours on the 24th, or the 25th, I'm not sure which date.
-The driver who caused the accident was drunk. Rys' going to be taking legal action against her.
He seems to be in good spirits, much better than I would be if I were in his situation.
That's about all I know for now, but I'll keep you all up-to-date.

Pipsqueak
General | Posted 17 years agoAs you might know from looking at my previous journal, my beloved guinea pig of many years, Pipsqueak, passed away two days ago. I felt like I needed to say a few words about her, a little memorial of sorts. I want to remember how she lived, not how she died.
For about as long as I can remember, we've had guinea pigs in our house. We got our first when I was still in 3rd or 4th grade, and I can't remember what made me want to get a guinea pig in the first place. Over the years I've had several, each of them wonderful, loving pets, but among them, Pipsqueak holds a special place in my heart.
Guinea pigs are quirky little animals, but she somehow managed to stand out in terms of quirkiness. Her most notable feature was the slight tilt of her head, which made her look curious, or, more likely, confused. We never really figured out why her head was tilted, but it didn't seem to hold her back at all. She was shy and jumpy when she first came to our house from the SPCA, which I attributed to a lack of socialization when she was a baby. That, or being stuck in a cage with her mother and a whole bunch of babies scurrying everywhere.
As soon as we got her home, my little brother (Pipsqueak was originally his) decided to put her out on the lawn and let her run around. We'd done that before with several of our previous guinea pigs, and as long as you kept an eye on them they would generally stay pretty close by, or hide in a bush or something. Pipsqueak, however, immediately took off running for the bushes, running under the fence onto a neighbor's property. We had to run all the way around the block to get to their house and let them know they had a stray guinea pig loose in their back yard. Needless to say I was pretty ticked off at my brother for almost losing our new pet not 5 minutes after getting her home.
Eventually though, she calmed down. My mom would put her out on the lawn when she read books in the backyard, and Pip would stay under her chair and graze on grass, occasionally coming out to hide in our lavender bush. Whenever we watched TV and cuddled her, she would always turn to face the screen. Whether she was actually watching, or just keeping an eye out for predators, I guess we'll never know. Eventually she would just snuggle into the crook of your arm and nod off.
Pipsqueak was special, and I'll miss her dearly.
