Been waiting for the name change, made this journal so my watchers don't get confused. now my signature finally makes sense lol.

Not usually one to make this sort of journal, but we're not exactly in usual circumstances at the moment, are we?

So not gonna beat around the bush; corona virus. Unlike a lot of my friends, I work at a grocery store, so I'm not getting time off anytime soon. I'm taking extra precautions and whatnot, and keeping my cool as best as I can since worrying ain't gonna change shit. Still stressful since we've been operating with 3 times our standard traffic for the past 2 weeks straight. Our front end manager is stuck in mexico now because she for some reason didn't think they'd close the borders, and several front end people have had no days off and 10+ hour days (by their own volition, our job ain't forcing them before you start worrying)

So yeah, I'm still good for now. Slow on art even before this virus thing happened, but I might prepare a sketch dump soon or something. Stay safe, and remember to wash your hands and make sure you're using gloves and masks properly unlike 70% of our clientele.

The next few months are gonna be pretty damn crazy for me, so I don't think I'll be able to take on comms, and it might already be apparent that art from me in general has slowed to a crawl. I might post some colors for old linearts or a sketch dump in the coming months, but hopefully productivity will increase by next year and I can open back up.

A couple of months ago, I was in a multistream with some artists I'm not gonna name. One of them was drawing a couple of girls with penises, and after a brief convo in the stream chat I said "herms are cool."

Well, one of the other streamers just chews me the fuck out about it, saying herm and futa are offensive and they'd never use slurs like that. The person it was directed to was cool about it, so I just kinda chalked it up to a fluke occurrence.

Well more and more I keep seeing it on people's pages and adoptables and whatnot. "Don't use slurs like herm to refer to my characters" "If you adopt this character Don't use hurtful slurs like herm"

Last i was aware, herm was an abbreviated technical term for a creature born with both reproductive organs, so....what? Like i guess It's for people with trans or, god forbid, non binary characters, and I can understand not wanting confusion or mislabelling like that, but herm characters exist too.

And even besides all that, the worst context I've ever heard someone use the word was "I find herms disgusting," and similar sentiments, which really has nothing to do with the word itself. I've never seen someone use herm in a derogatory fashion, so this just kind of baffles me.

Wow i'm actually posting something again. miracle, huh? anyway, since i'm now comfortable lining and doing basic colors digitally, this opens the floodgates for a lot of my old artwork to get a digital makeover. so i pose to you watchers a simple question:

Naomi Etxerberria

1. Naomi is a member of her universe' SCA, or in other words, is a medieval times nerd. She is second generation, her parents are into it too.
2. She tends to sprinkle her speech with little middle ages stuff like aught and naught and pray and whatnot.
3. Her favorite things are medieval armor and weaponry. she loves the aesthetics to them.
4. Her favorite color is bright orange, but it really doesn't go well with her skin color so she doesn't really wear it.
5. Also bit of an elgyem factoid here most people don't know about, she has a small tail. hers is smaller than most, though; so small she rarely has to cut a hole in her pants for it. She's a little self conscious that it's so small, though, so she acts like she doesn't have one.
6. One of her moves eventually is steel wing. She is well aware it's rather weak due to her low attack stat, she just really loves the novelty of growing a fucking metal wing out of her arm and beating someone down with it. Fuckin krauser that shit.
7. She loves bug types because their chitin reminds her of armor. Her favorite is obviously escavalier.
8. she likes hand crafts like knitting and often uses her mental powers to do them.


Esteban Zwerven

1. his most noticeable feature is his lack of a left arm. It's been gone since birth or shortly thereafter, his father isn't really sure which.
2. his father found him and his siblings when they were about a year or younger. esteban was in the older group of quadruplets, and though his real birthday is not known, his father decided to celebrate theirs all on the same day; august 9th.
3. Esteban talks extremely rarely. there's nothing wrong with his voice, he just has a bit of a mental block where talking "just doesn't feel right" to him. He can get past this and holler in dire situations, however.
4. despite his lack of talking making him seem a bit aloof, he can actually be quite chipper, and often whistles when in a good mood.
5. He doesn't wear shoes because he can't easily put them on himself and he feels more agile without him. going shoeless is actually pretty common and acceptable in his universe, so it works out. He can somehow put on a tie easier than most 2 armed people, strangely.
6. He doesn't like wearing shirts because the empty sleeve bugs him. he wears a tie clip with his name on it in lieu of a name tag so he can tell people his name without talking.
7. He loves sweets, with his favorite being wintergreen mints. He often frequents the sweets shop his sister's girlfriend owns, which is actually how the 2 met.
8. His favorite color is purple, same as his eyes.

Almost all of these are gonna be requests for art of my characters, feel free to draw them however you'd like, SFW or NSFW. I'll list a bit about them so you get a feel for what they like. For some I'll post a little idea i had involving them as a bit of a jumping point, but feel free to do whatevs.

1. Monica (SFW and color ref and NSFW ref showing where her parts are) She's an aspiring porn star who's down for just about anything at all, with anyone at all. She stands at a little over 6 feet tall, so she's quite the large woman. All you need to know, really. I had an idea of her in one of those keyhole sweaters that's all the rage now, but she's such a damn complicated design i'll be happy if you so much as draw a bust shot.

2. Andrija (NSFW ref. He's also standard wailord colors) Another big guy, Andy here is 6'10" and his equipment is a whopping two feet at full glory. He's been in quite a few relationships that usually end due to him being afraid of hurting his mates with his girth, but otherwise he's pretty DTF. I recently thought of a silly pairing of him with a pachirisu chick using her cheek pouches to give him quite the unique blowjob, but feel free to have him with any other woman brave enough to attempt handling his girth. Also, he is in fact straight, so no guys please. (And if you're feeling extra expeditious, him and monica are in fact in a relationship, so the two of them together would work like white on rice.)

3. Kat and Wendy (Kat ref, NSFW. Wendy ref, NSFW) These two are a committed lesbian couple. Kat is a field medic and Wendy is co-owner of a candy store as well as the face of the business more or less. They mostly do cuddly sweet stuff and are a bit nauseatingly cute, but that doesn't mean they don't get it on sometimes. I'd like to see more art of the down n dirty with them, but feel free to have them cuddling too, or whatever. I'm not too picky.

4. Penny (NSFW ref and refs for cock size) Penny here is a patamon in a relationship with a fellow herm, but she swings so she's down for whatever with who or whatever. She also has a vagina hidden under those balls, even if you can't see it, so that is also an option. She acts pretty innocent, even during sexy situations, and is known to be a bit submissive. She's pretty much a "for fun" character, so don't feel limited to just digimon, either.

5. Gladys (NSFW ref) Gladys is a Salamon and partner of Penny above, but like penny, she also swings. Unlike penny, though, she doesn't have a vagina, so it's just anal for her. She's also pretty shy and not willing to take the lead as it were, but she tries her hardest to make her mate feel good. Again, she's not a serious charcter so she doesn't just have to be with digimon, or with anything for that matter.

6. Silver (Nude ref) Silver here is either a ninja-esque mercenary or just an average teenager depending on the story. She's a bit sassy, and is kinda my go to character for requests and commissions. The ongoing theme for her is i'm perpetually looking for outfit designs for her, so if you have something in mind that'd be awesome.

7. Evelyn (Nude ref) A voluptuous shiny jolteon with big fake boobs. If you surmised from this she's a bit of a slut, you'd be correct. She's not been developed much yet despite being well developed (dohohohoho puns), but she's probably pretty straight but likes attention from either sex, really.

8. Esteban (SFW ref. For colors, standard jolteon colors with champagne blond hair and purple eyes.) A mute, one armed jolteon with a tendency to not wear a shirt or shoes. (Must not get into many McDonalds) Despite his neutral expression looking a bit intense and the lack of speech, he can be a pretty gleeful guy like anyone else, and often whistles throughout the day.

9. A Sexy Anthro Monster Hunter Creature. There's just not enough of these in all honesty, so I'd love to see more of these get on the interwebs. My favorite monsters are Gigginox (the one i'd like most to see art of), Nargacuga, Chameleos, and Gore Magala. Honestly though, I'd just be happy to see more anthro MH stuff of anything, there's barely any of it that i've seen.

10. A duskull mask. Any duskull mask of decent quality. (by decent quality i mean papier maché or better) This is for a costume idea for Drasus, so i figured why not try a request here. For mailing info, send me a note.

Really late to the game here, but I'm looking for someone with an Amoonguss in their friend safari to help build my earthbound themed team. Any help would be appreciated, I'm asking everyone I know :'D

Read a journal by  rainthunder7 about a bad purchase, and it reminded me of my own story of the sort.

I commissioned a guy around christmas last year. The guy used to be a friend of mine and he was saying how nobody ever gives him traditional commissions so i decided to get one from him. Well he kinda talks me out of the first thing i wanted from him in the first place, and suggests another character that he seems to think i have that doesn't remotely sound like any character I have. So i tell him he must have me confused with someone else, give him a new character, and then we're all hunky dorey. So then I tell him i want the most expensive commission he offers, and he actually talks me down to a lower priced one. I'm like "okay i'm being nice anyway if he wants less of my money no hair off my back."

So this is two weeks before christmas. Fast forward to like 4 months later, i kinda forgot then remembered it. now note that i have not talked to him at all in these 3 months. I send him a note asking about the commission since i forgot about it. All of a sudden he gets all defensive, saying I was pestering him nonstop and he finally couldn't stand it, and refunded me months ago. I checked my paypal, took a screencap of that and my outbox, and sent it to him showing him not only had i not talked to him in 4 months but i also never got any refund. I still never got a note back from him, so I assume he blocked me. I never heard a word from him after that, and spent 19 dollars i'll never see again.

I don't think he conned me really, I think he just confused me for someone and was a total ass. It's a shame, because he used to be a pretty cool guy but he's just a total dipshit now.

So yeah, long story short, never get a commission from  roymccloud. Damn right i'm calling him out, not like he'll ever see this anyway.

Went to video games live saturday night, 4th time going to one. For those unaware, VGL is a travelling show where the founder, tommy tallarico, goes around the country and plays video game music with the local orchestra. Due to the area I live in, the local orchestra just so happens to be the National symphony orchestra, i.e. the most prestigious orchestra in the country. The show's not entirely just music though. There's a costume contest, little skits they do, and some special user involvement segments. It's really a cool affair. Plus this year's venue was a huge semi outdoor stage that seats 6,800 at full capacity, and i can guarantee it was packed full.

They start out with the costume contest, which naturally i was in with my eevee costume. The turnout for the costume contest was the biggest I'd ever seen, with someone in a journey costume winning. While waiting i struck up a conversation with a guy dressed as Teddy from Persona 4, who i hope to see at otakon this year cause he was cool peoples.

So after the contest they play an intro vid thing, start with some songs, played mario and shadow of the colossus and a couple others. was amazing, as expected. Then they say they need 4 volunteers to come on stage. To play smash bros melee. I got up and waved as enthusiastically as i always do, not expecting to get called since they usually don't give costume contest people another chance. And then tommy says for "the guy with the ears" to come up.

So I get on stage. and I'm honestly shaking a bit i'm so excited. I see the other people that got called: a random chick, a random guy, and much to my surprise, Teddy got called up to. I took off my gloves, grabbed the only red gamecube controller there, and chose gravity suit samus. Meanwhile, the random people both chose peach, and Teddy chose Captain Falcon. At the level select screen, tommy slowly scrolls over the stages and tells people to cheer for the one they want. A few stages get some cheers, hyrule temple gets a lot. Then Tommy gets over random and the whole crowd goes crazy. So he chooses random, and we get Onett, awesomely enough.

But that's not all. Not only are we playing a standard 2 minute match on one of my favorite melee levels, but we're not playing with the sound on. The national symphony orchestra and the national choir are playing Brawl's main theme the entire match, with an opera singer doing the female vocals, all of this only a few yards away from me. I honestly don't remember much of the match, nor was I at my best due to all the sheer euphoria of the situation. All I remember is I kept inadvertently doing like every single fire attack samus had including her non smash down a attack, and i think i only died twice. The match winds down and they finish the song perfectly on time to the match, and the crowd starts clapping as we await the results screen...

...And then it goes into sudden death. With me, the eevee, as Samus, and Teddy as Captain falcon. The crowd cheers even louder, with even Tommy and i think even some of the orchestra and the conductor rooting us on. it lasted a fair while of dodging, and again it's a bit of a blur, but i remember a near miss with me barely screw attacking away from a car, and fruitlessly firing homing missiles to try and get him. I don't think I'll ever forget the finale though.

I had worked my way up to the powerlines on the right. Falcon came for me from the top drugstore awning, and was doing a midair falcon punch. I did a twitch f smash, and i swear it could've gone either way with how it was timed. It may sound cliched, but i swear time stopped for a second. But when it started again, my move connected first.

The crowd went ballistic. I literally jumped in the air and punched the air with a rock on symbol I was so ecstatic. Teddy turned to me and said it was an awesome match and gave me a high five, as did tommy, proclaiming "The guy with the ears won!" I went backstage to get my prizes, then went back to my seat where Drasus greeted me with a huge smile then hugged and kissed me in congratulation. I was shaking through the next two sets afterwards.

During the intermission and after the show, tons of people congratulated "the guy with the ears" as I passed, which just left me beaming the rest of the night practically.

I won some cool stuff for it, including the earthworm jim anthology CD, but nothing beats the sheer feeling of it all. Not only had I played smash bros on one of my favorite levels in front of nearly 7000 people while the best orchestra in the country played brawl's main theme. I had won. And it's certainly not something I'm going to forget any time soon.

Got the last issue of Nintendo Power today...tried reading it but couldn't get too in depth because I was getting too choked up. I don't know why it's getting to me so much...I guess it's just because I've loved Nintendo Power pretty much my entire life, and now that it's gone it's almost like I'm losing an old friend or something.

I am really glad I got a copy though. The guy at Barnes and Noble said they had sold out of them, but later came up to me with one he'd found misplaced in the wrong section. I really should've thanked him more now that I think about it; if I'd missed out on this, I would've felt like my childhood died and I missed the funeral.

But yeah, the end had a little comic that said something pretty sappy that was a bit lame but still got me pretty good.

"None of this is really going away, is it? I mean, Nintendo Power had a great run...It's like when you finish a great game--you're kind of sad to see it end, but really proud and happy too."

Decided to do one of these. For those who don't know, an iron artist challenge is where someone draws something every day for a period of several days.

Note that most if not all of these will be taken with my cell phone camera and be uncolored. I'll replace these with better scanned ones when I get a chance, and i also will probably go back and color some of these later.
