my new pet Dumbo Rat <3
General | Posted 13 years agoi have adopted a fawn Dumbo Rat^^ shes about 6 months old..not sure if shes going to get any bigger but she seems a good size.
Kairo had fancy rats as a kid and i was thinking about buying him one for his birthday next month,..so we went into petsmart just to look around and i asked if they had any fancy rats.
the lady said no, but they had some Dumbo rats. And i was like Meh, what the hell,..lets see them.
theyre ears are a tad bigger but theyre almost exactly the same,..and Kairo was all..You wanna hold one?
i was a gerbil/reptile kid..i never had hampsters or mice or ...well..we had rabbits in a hutch..but id never held a rodent this big x.x
so,..we went into the little room between the small mammals and the bird cages..and i sat down and she handed me a little fawn female..and she was so curious of everything..she didnt bite me or even try,.just calmly walked around and sniffed the hell out of me..Kairo had her sister in his hands and she was all over the place bursting with energy^^
now,.i never thought i could like rats..because they have naked tails,.but its actually really cool,.its soft with blond peachfuz on it and she would grip onto my fingers with it when she was walking from hand to hand.
i fell inlove <3
i cant bring her home till friday because of paperwork or something..but ill be posting pictures soon!
i need help picking out a name! any ideas for a calm fawn and white baby girl?

Trying to raise 300$ for my tattoo artist's registration fee. As of August 1st, the state of California is starting a TON of new requirements as far as blood-work licensing and registration. If i dont have 300$ by the first, i will not be able to continue my training. Please help me with my career.

reference among other things
General | Posted 13 years agoworking on a new reference sheet for Zelli. She hasnt changed really, just realized she dosnt have a proper reference sheet..so im finally making one of my own.
Also, i finally landed an apprenticeship at a tattoo shop^_^ say hello to the new office bitch at Living Ink Tattoo in Tracy California!
my first assignment was to draw waves in the traditional tattoo style, so i drew this badass koifish with canine teeth and cherry blossoms around the waves and the boss loved it. after a few days he actually let me design a tattoo for a client. She wanted a grey scaled greyhound bust on her shoulder..so i drew the greyhound and she liked it so much that she got it tattooed on her^^
Today i learned about setup and breakdown, sanitation and sterilization. And at the end of the day i had to tattoo myself. Boss gave me a Star filled with triangles so i could practice making straight lines. It was like trying to tattoo a rubber band. The skin is very elastic and its interesting to watch how it reacts to the needle. After i tattooed the star to my leg, i got to fill in some of the triangles to practice filling in with color.
didnt hurt hardly at all,.which is funny because every time i get my wrists worked on i tend to yell and bitch and moan lol
all in all im having a grand old time learning about machines and amps and volts and watts and rotaries and old fashions and etc...
still dont have stable net x.x

a pet sitter emergancy! pls help

Due to an unforeseen issue im not in desperate need of a pet sitter in the city of San Leandro California or close.
The person who owns the place where im staying says that i can no longer have my cat here so now i need someone to watch Kurtis for me for a few weeks while we set up living in a pet friendly apartment.
Hes a house cat inside only and is up to date on shots. He dosnt have fleas and is friendly with people,children, dogs and other cats. He has a favorite toy we call "the Bird" its just a stick with feathers on it..but he will also play with string. Hes not very energetic and is low maintenance.
Please..if anyone has any friends who can watch him for me, ill pay you for the time hes there. I just love him so much and i need to know hes safe untill i can bring him home.
