I'm selling off some of my Prismacolor marker collection to get some extra cash and make room in my storage cabinet. All of these markers have been tested (see picture linked below); some are brand new while others are over ten years old but they all have plenty of ink and work great! The scanner doesn't pick up the light greys very well, but they're there. The only two vaguely iffy ones are Orange and Violet Blue.

Markers are $1.50 each; Orange and Violet Blue are $1 each, not including shipping.
Prismacolors can go for 3-4 dollars each in the store, so this is a great deal if you want to try them out without springing for a brand new set, or just need a couple of random colors.

Hi, everyone. No doubt you guys have noticed that it's taken me way, way longer to finish my commission queue than usual. I'll spare you the whiny details, but long story short, my move-in situation fell through and things are more than a little crazy right now. No worries- I'm safe and so is my cat- but it's seriously thrown my life off track. I don't know when things will stabilize again, and I don't want to drag this out with my remaining customers any longer.

Out of the five ink commissions left in my queue, I do actually have two completed for  kaiven and  keet. I'll post them as soon as I can access the files from my own computer, which is currently disassembled. The other three will be fully refunded as soon as I can deposit some cash in my bank and get it transferred to my Paypal account, probably sometime next week at the latest. After that, I will not be taking on another batch of commissions for a while. How long, I don't know. When/if I do return, I don't plan on taking 10+ at a time ever again.

I want to apologize to the people who have waited so long (and so patiently!) and I want to thank everyone who has watched, faved, commented, or commissioned me over the past few years. The amount of support I've gotten is unreal. You guys are great. I just wish I was in a better position to keep drawing for you.

To the few people in my queue who are still waiting on art, I haven't forgotten about you guys! Unfortunately and unexpectedly, I have to move out of my apartment in the next few days, so commissions will have to stay on the back burner for a little while longer :/ I really am very sorry about this, but it's a sudden curveball that's totally thrown me and my family off track. I really hate that I keep having to make journal posts like this, but I wanted to let all my watchers and commissioners know that I'll be finishing up my queue as soon as I can, my other job has just been extra brutal lately and I haven't had any free days to devote to art since last week- not to mention that last inked commission pretty much killed my fine detail pen, and I don't want anyone else's commission to suffer by using crappy dried-out pens. I'll be getting a new one on Sunday and my goal is to have everything finished by Easter, or at least by the Tuesday after depending on how much my boss needs me next week. Thanks to everyone who has waited so patiently thus far, and I'm really sorry for any trouble this delay has caused you!

On that note, you will probably be seeing fewer commission openings from me throughout the spring, and by summer my other job may be going full-time. It depends on whether I can finally get my driver's license or not. Wish me luck! Even if I'm working, I may still offer a few commissions here and there- and they may be bigger or more experimental projects, rather than the simple commissions that are my bread and butter right now. I'm going to be posting the rest of my current commission queue sometime later tonight, and then I'll be open again. But before I do I want to give you all a heads-up on some changes I'm making starting with this upcoming queue.

For the most part everything is going to be in the same price range. I want to keep my commissions budget-friendly as much as possible. But I've noticed that I tend to put a disproportionate amount of time and effort into them for the price, especially with pencil sketches, which have turned into more like polished drawings and are kind of a pain to clean up and detail. I think part of this is because things like backgrounds or dark colors necessitate darker, bolder pencil lines to make the character stand out enough... and the result sometimes feels messy or gaudy to me.

Long story short, for my sketch commissions I want to focus more on the character and less on ~pretty colors~ and not get so obsessive about clean bold linework... since that's what the inked commissions are for now. So, starting tonight, sketch commissions will be flat-colored on a light, off-white backdrop and feature more of the original construction lines and shapes. They will cost between $10 and $15 for single characters. Tonight I will be taking a couple slots for discounted sketches at $8 to generate some examples.

Inked commissions are staying pretty much the same, but I really, really like the simple shading I've been doing on the recent holiday gifts and I'd like to make that standard. The shading really doesn't take too much time so it won't be a huge price increase... simple inked commissions will come standard with light shading and cost between $16 and $20 for single characters. They can have any backdrop color you want.

Slight background elements will be available for both commission types for an extra $4.

I'm sorry if anyone doesn't like these changes, but more than anything I want to be able to deliver quality character drawings and use my time to get the pose and anatomy right, and hopefully not get burned out over commissions that take nearly three hours to draw and color and cost, like, $12. If this doesn't work out I'll rethink it, but I've felt a little dissatisfied with my art lately and I want to figure out a process that's both easier for me to work on and allows me to put more time into the areas of my art that need attention. This is the first step. c:

Sorry it's taken as long as it has, I'm hoping that things will finally settle down at my other job and I can get back to a more consistent schedule. I want to thank everyone for being so patient! October and November usually aren't this busy for me but it's been one thing after another.

Yep. As of today it's been three years since I posted the very first sketch commission I ever took on. Since then I've done over 400 sketch and ink commissions for folks on FA, not to mention various icons and the occasional big side project. I've served over 225 individual people. I've had repeat customers come back up to fifteen times. I've drawn nearly 90 animal species and breeds, and that's not even including things like hybrids and monsters and Pokemon.
Those are incredible numbers. It's great to be able to say I've had this much sucess, but it will also never cease to amaze me that so many people enjoy my work. Rather than let it go to my head I feel humbled. Though I don't want to rely on commissions for the rest of my life, I'm very lucky to be where I'm at and to have the support that I do. It wouldn't be possible without all my fantastic watchers, so, thanks to each and every one of you!

I'm not the most business-minded person in the world but I've learned some important things from doing this as long as I have. There are a few points that I think every artist should keep in mind, no matter how ~*popufur*~ they are.

Communicate with your customers. Delays and mistakes happen sometimes, but good correspondence can make all the difference.

Know your limits. It feels weird to turn down people who want to give you money, but long queues are really overwhelming and you'll work much better when you're not stressing over the 230573146 people still waiting on their art.

Set boundaries for yourself and others. It's not true that porn is the only thing that sells! If you really, really don't want to do adult/fetish material or whatever, don't feel obligated to. It's not worth it if you can't find any joy in drawing it. (And when you're unenthusiastic about your work, it shows.)

Don't be an arrogant dick. This should be obvious, but I've seen a few artists with seriously crappy attitudes, and there's no reason for it. You are not 'better' than your customers because you have a fanbase or because you can draw well. They could just as easily choose not to give you their money.

Well, I guess that's it! I just wanted to make note of the occasion, like I said, I am seriously floored and flattered that you guys have stuck around to make this commission gallery what it is today. I'll be posting finished art throughout the week, and though I won't be able to have a Halloween-themed round in time for the 31st, I'm always up for creepy/monstery commissions and will still be offering discounts the next time I'm open. Hi guys! Just wanted to give a heads-up about some upcoming things and check in with my commissioners.

First off, sorry for the delay in posting stuff! Between the site downtime and some shenanigans with my other part-time job, I haven't been able to work at the pace I'd like. But, unless something really crazy happens in the next week and a half, I should be done with the rest of my queue in the week of Sept. 30th to Oct. 6th.

Starting in October my second job will be on a different schedule. I'll still be able to work on about six commissions per week, only much easier since I won't have to work both jobs in the same day. So I'm hoping to open for two rounds next month! The first one will be a new customers only round. I did this a while back and it seemed to go over really well, I'd like to do it again to give some new folks a chance. c: The round after that, sometime in the middle of October, will be a Halloween sale round!
