gonna be heading to CaliFur here in a day and a half so I figured I post this.

Im not gonna post an entire day by day breakdown as to what all I did at MFF this year, I dont trust my memory that well. But I will summarize what all I did and about who all I hanged with.

First off, I was so very excited when I found out Tuesday, the day before me and Soggymaster left for the con, that I could go. I know that over the course of these journals Ive been elusive as to why I was unsure if I could or could not go. Im still gonna keep that to myself, but thanks for understanding that I dont want to talk about it to most everyone.

We had a safe drive from my house to the con on Wednesday and arrived latish at night. it was just me and Soggy in the room and darn was it a room, Soggy had reserved a suite. only 1 problem we had with it throughout the whole stay was that the thermostat was broken in the main room where I slept on the unfolded out hida-bed couch. Though we set it to a comfortable 71, the darn thing wouldnt keep that temp and would swing its temp from low 60s to high 70s. we told the front desk when we checked out.

Thursday our other roomys arrived at their times, Mizuhiro from France. he had brought some goodies from his native lands, including proper French wine, that didnt make it to our room. and Malstrum who Greyhounded his trip to Chicago. They where both great people to hang out with and had a lot of fun. I was a little worried at times with Mizu as I never really saw a great deal of him cause he usually was up at odd hours, things you contend with when traveling 8 or 9 time zones. I also hope we didnt keep him up much when he went to bed early. at least he had a door he could close cause the bedroom proper was separate from the main room.

I had lots of fun in my fursuit, though I didnt get very many pics taken of me. Im still new to wearing it and am not as animated as other furs. There where a lot of other great suits there, see link below, that where having a blast. Im a bit of a loner, and that shows even in suit so me just idly wondering around and not really interacting with others didnt help me get pics taken of me. I did suit in the parade and had quite the blast doing it. it was the first parade I had ever done. I was next to a shy suiter named Jay, I cant remember her suits name off hand. I did go to CaliFur this year too, but we had a wedding to attend that took all of the day of that parade.

Other highlights that happened where; we went to Tycloud's room and played Smash Bros a couple of nights. I didnt win much but thats not the point, I had a lot of fun. It even got me out of a bought of depression one night (I know, depression during a con... it happens to me, I know the cause, but not a good fix for it. Im working on getting a good cure for it. if you ever see me alone, head in hands, come up and talk to me, please). We also had a great game of CAH in our suite. Fun was had with many great furs. We went to Giordano's, a pizza place within walking distance. Though I dont go out of my way for pizza, the place did have an amazing deep dish. when they say "Feeds 2-3" they darn right mean it. I had a small deep dish and I could only eat half of it. if you can find their website, they do ship pizza anywhere in the continental US. Friday we had dinner here http://www.hofbrauhauschicago.com/. it was kinda an all Inkbunny furs dinner. we had quite the group and thought the food was way overpriced and not all that good, I did have a great time with those I sat with. they did an ok job with how they served the rather large group, but they could have done way better. met but didnt really get to talk a lot with Noirex, and got to chat with a fur I met during FurCruise 2010, Keet.

All in all, I had an amazing time. met new furs, chatted a little with some, bought some things, and had a blast. Just wish that I could have talked with more furs

Ive been holding off making a post about going to MFF this year cause as of me posting this journal, I still dont know if I can go. I probably wont know if I can go untell the week of the con here in 2 weeks. I am doing my best to find out if I can go as soon as I can. Simply put, I have something going on in my life that I have to deal with in order to go. Ide rather not get into detail about it.

If I do get to go however, then I will be staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. its one of the overflow hotels nearby. Ill be rooming with my good friend Soggymaster as well as another person he has gotten in touch with.

I will be driving there if I get to go. something like a 5ish hour drive from where I live. I plan on being there from either late Wednesday night or sometime Thursday untell Monday

Gonna be heading to CaliFur here later this week, gonna be heading out to Las Vegas Wednesday. From there I will be hanging with a few friends tell the con on Friday. We are unsure yet if we will be leaving for the con Thursday night or early as sin Friday morn, Im gonna try pushing for Thursday.

I will be there for most of the con. The only day I wont be there will be Saturday cause of a wedding we will be attending, but other then that I will be there. I will also be suiting as much as I can, Ill be in this. His name is Fystin and he loves hugs. It sounds like we will be leaving from the con about Tuesday, then heading for home Wednesday.

I know it is quite early for talking about it, but I would like to go to CaliFur in 2015. For those that read this, I would like to know if anyone was thinking of going that I would know. Even if it is just me watching your art. There are alot of IFs before I am sure if I can even go. Ide like some feedback as well as if anyone has some tips for a person doing planning for there first trip to a con.

Well never thought that they existed, but I just got through a species crisis. Meaning, I lost sight of what species I was. As you all know, I have been a Fennec fox for a long time, and i even have a fur suit of him. All this did was complicate the crisis. I wanted to keep the Fennec part of me alive while encompassing the new species, Yoshi and husky. I didn't want to just say that I was a shapechanger as I think that is cheating, and more or less, the easy way out. I also didn't want to make a new character.

Well this is my solution.
I will keep the Fennec suit as a different character, yes I know I didn't want to do that but this is just how its got to be. This new characters name is Fystin the Two Tailed Silver Fennec. Essentially just giving him a different name. He is obviously still me and all, but he isn't the main me. If that makes sense.

As for the Yoshi and husky decision. I have chosen me being a light blue Yoshi, yes that now means that I am a scaly. With the husky side as a spirit animal as it has been for a while now.

Now with the new species comes some questions. These are all being fleshed out as I go. As well as setting up Fystin as his own character. I will need a new badge for him, eventually. If I can go somewhere where I can put him on again, that is. I would also really like a ref sheet for the new Yoshi form as soon as possible, but after I can get what he looks like fleshed out, though I don't think that it will stray too far from a normal looking light blue Yoshi.
