Heya Everyone,

I’m sorry that I’ve been posting so much really old art for the last few days. It occurred to me that I haven’t really posted anything in the last 5-7 years. I don’t have a ton of work to show for it, but i was working my first full-time, high-stress job, with a micro-managing boss to boot. So I was too stressed to really produce art the way I want to.
About a year ago I quit that job to focus on other things, but that was no less stressful or time consuming. (Lots of shitty things happened in the last year)
However, I’m actually pretty proud of my newest art and want to get it up here... but I want to get my older backlog stuff up here first.
I’m almost done with the older stuff. I’ll put the newer pages up as soon as I can.

You might have noticed that your faves of my art might have slightly changed.
My mate got me a new printer/scanner for the holidays and I realized how much better quality the scans are from it.
This actually started bothering me because the images that i've most recently uploaded make my gallery look like it has 2-3 colors of black and white sketches... and the old ones look so muddy.... It's not a big deal, but it was bothering me a bit...

SO! I decided to make this my opportunity to do something I've been meaning to do for a while... Add my new signature icon and date to all of my artwork! YAY!!!

I'm rescanning all of my art with the new scanner, cleaning up the edges, and adding my signature stamp (with date). And I am uploading them as new versions to old submissions (keeping everything the same but the pictures). This way everyone can keep their old faves (and comments) and I'm not flooding your "new submissions" inbox with old pictures.

I'm doing it a little everyday, and hope to be done by the end of this week, I'm starting from oldest and working my way new. I hope to culminate it with an upload of new pieces. ^.^

As people might have seen, yesterday my mate kaiacougar put up his the first chapter of his first story. As such, I can start putting up some of the artwork that I've done for his stories. I put up the first three pictures yesterday, and have some more that I'll be putting up when he puts up his next chapter in a couple weeks.

The story that he started putting up yesterday, entitled The Eye of the Tempest, is a science fiction series that follows the crew of a starship in the chakat universe, where two of the main characters are alternate versions of our own fursonas.

He also is eventually planning to start posting some other series, hopefully in the not-too-distant future, that are completely separate from this one, with a variety genres (fantasy, romance, steampunk, erotica, etc), and I'll be doing some illustrations and character concepts for all of them, so keep tuned in.

I look forward to seeing how everyone likes the story illustrations and character images I've done for these stories, and the stories too (since I'm helping to write them). There is only one up currently but more will be coming soon. So if you haven't started checking out Kaia's page and the stories, please do so!

An introduction to chakats and the chakat universe

I know not many people will see this, but I'm trying to get the word out. Right now there is a great furry project up on Offbeatr (Kickstarter for adult projects). They need all the help they can get. I've already pledged what I can, and now am turning to you. Even if you can't pledge a nickel, please help spread the word.

As you can tell by the dates on my submissions, I took quite the long break from furaffinity, and from my art in general. If you haven't seen the dates, about a month ago I started submitting art for the first time in two years, and this is my first journal in 3 years. This break was due to several reasons, one being that for the last year and a half I've been mostly without Internet coverage. Having moved out of my parents house and now being unable to afford it on my own. This unfortunately is still the case, though I've started trying to use my mate's net connection. But, more than that, I mostly haven't been posting due to me being in a art lull. Not a full block, but in those two years I only finished a handful of drawings. And though I had many older drawings I could have still posted, but I felt no drive to, as there would be nothing new coming after them.

As you might guess, since I'm now posting again, my lull seems to have ended. I've been drawing almost every day this last month, and it feels wonderful to be on track with my art again.

You may notice when I'm posting that I keep saying this is an "older peice", that's due to the fact that I'm trying to get all my old art works in here while I finalize some of my newer ones.

I hope you all enjoy the art I've been posting and what I will be adding soon.

Ok, so, This is my first journal ever. I actually don't expect that many people will even read it. Probably only the poor suckers I tag. But like the title says, I have been tagged.

1- Zephira looks nothing like me, but she is my ideal, even if she were human she would be perfect in my eyes. Her eyes, hair, shape, height, everything's just right.

2- I have a fixation on death. I can't get my head around it and just let it go. I focus so much on it that sometimes I can't sleep for fear of it.

3- I love most things that have a moon motif, but have never drawn anything that has a moon in it.

4- I am so OCD about cleaning that nothing ever gets done if I can't do it fully. If I don't have the time or the resources to finish the job properly, and to my satisfaction, then I wont start. And if I do start, I will work my self to exhaustion before I stop.

5- Although I hate really hot temperatures, dryness, and bright sunlight, I cant stand the idea of living anywhere that didn't have these things. I always say I would love to live in a forested area, but, I can't picture it at all.

6- I love writing poetry, but it only comes out nicely when I am super depressed. This is why all of my poetry comes out so very depressing.

7- Sometimes I'm so worried about being wrong that I wont speak at all.

8- The number 13 surrounds my life. I was born 13 days late, at 4:13 in the morning. I weighed 8 lbs 13 ounces, and my head was 13 inches around. Even as a kid growing up it was still there. I was always number 13 on all the soccer teams I've been on, and my bowling average was 113. I've always considered it to be my lucky number.
