I was just randomly offered a job to draw for an indie game company! I AM SO EXITED!

here's what happened:

I was sitting in my school's computer lab, watching random videos when all of a sudden, this guy walks up to me. he asks if I know how to draw on a tablet (since I always have my tablet out). I show him a drawing that I made and he seems interested. he tells me he's looking for artists who know how to work tablets since he bought one but doesn't draw. he needs character designs so that they can be created in 3D programs. DUUUUDE, this is like a dream come true! I really hope I get the job! X3

welp, I was hoping to have more free time during these vacations. it turned out to be the opposite... parents have given me the chore of painting our 3-story house. if I'm not doing that, I'm helping out with house chores or doing errands outside. all this work ends up making me tired, so I go out and chi with friends at night. I rarely get to see them during classes due to being in different schools, so I'm taking advantage of these vacations to spend time with them. if I'm not doing anything, I get pestered by my little bro,getting rid of privacy online. that leaves me with very little time to get on my lappy and draw or chat and stuff. that's where I have been this winter.

luckly, I start until like the 17/18th, so I still got plenty of time to work on those age-old requests and stuff before classes start.

also, I really need to update my info and stuff...

seriously, I have a way of getting myself in trouble... due to some RL problems with school and family, I won't be able to use my laptop for about a month... this is pretty bad because I can't use the crappy home PC to visit such a site, as well as the fact that FA is blocked over at my school's internet. I'll have no way of logging in and uploading stuff... I'm hoping my parents at least give me until this sunday to use it... due to the fact that I have 3 day vacations starting this wednesday. if they let me, I might be able to finish age-old requests... I hope they do...

yeah... I had a massive art block... more than that, I lost my will to draw...

that was until recently when I finally bought my very own tablet!

I've been practicing with my tablet these past days, as well as getting to learn now to use Paint Tool SAI... I've fallen it love with its Pen Tool system! damn, and I thought the pen tool in Photoshop was awesome...

I've grown confident with my tablet drawing skills, so this weekend, I'm planning on finishing ALL those pics that I owe! I might even Livestream it!

so...2 months of art block and lack of computer were the cause of me not being active during the winter break. in January I got a new charger and just recently have I been getting used to drawing again. yay! once I get used to it, I'll kick it into high gear and get more drawings done, including the unfinished requests. If you guys don't know, Im in favor of hacking Wiis. a lot of people just look at the bad side of it (download illegal games, mess around online, it's not Nintendo endorsed) but I've been doing some research and discovered so many things that it makes you wonder why Nintendo put so many limits on the Wii.

First of all, you can play DVDs. why did nintendo remove this? it was going to be in when it was a prototype. it just doesn't make sense.
It has a better chance of surviving a brick. and I mean like when your wii freezes and doesn't work anymore. I still haven't bricked my Wii but I know that I'm prepared if it happens.
Codes. like AR codes, but for the Wii. I know there are codes that are abused (I hate hackers that win online with them, or make ridiculous records. that's just lame and stupid.) but there are fun codes out there that you can use to have a little fun once you beat a game. being able to use the red star power anywhere in mario galaxy is awesome, and don't get me started on Brawl+ (which is WAY better than the original IMHO)
Customize your stuff. its your wii after all. wouldn't you love to do this? or this? seeing these makes me want to make my own. I'm going to turn my Wii into an XBox 360! complete with the boot animation! XD lets not forget custom music and textures in Brawl. there are other cool customizable stuff out there, but I still need to find them...

"oh, I forgot to do my homework...I'll do it at school." before I knew it, some classes get skipped to finish a project, since I can't get ANYTHING done at my house (that includes drawing as well...) cause Im always worrying that I'm gonna get distracted, only ending up actually getting distracted. I know how to fix my problem...then WHY THE HELL can't I? it stresses me out! and then, my ignorance kicks in. "stressed out? no problem! a 'little' relaxing won't hurt! dont worry about it." they say ignorance is bliss...its true...until you return to the real world. and it leads me back to the beginning of the vicious cycle...

Nintendo recently launched channel update 4.2 . its main purpose is to replace a file that has been used by hackers to install homebrew. unfortunately, their "update" was rushed, and thus it's very glitchy. its also pretty much useless due to the fact that most hackers know that updating through Ninthendo will erase all hacking software (all updates have been for that purpose, aside from a few game and channel fixes), so the ones with clean Wiis are the ones suffering. fortunately, if your Wii gets bricked, and you never used hacks in it, Nintendo will fix it for free.

PS: about last post, my RL furfriend,  susuke has been getting over 9000 requests and commissions, including one from BAD DRAGON. and then she started to show off a bit, so that's why I was feeling horrible before. now Im feeling better (somewhat)...it's like half of me says, "come on! if she can do it, so can you!" while the other half says, "give up already... you got no chance if you continue like this..." that is why I asked you guys for help...

the reason I havent been able to log in at all is cause Ive been grounded once more. seriously, I only get it for 3 days and my parents already consfiscated it for the rest of the year...

so many things have happened while I lacked internet, but now that Im back online, I feel different...probably due to the fact that I lost my huge obsession with my lappy...I guess I learned that I don't need to be online to live...

even though I'm back, it doesn't mean I'll be on as I usually did... I got to take care of my RL.

to clear things off, no I'm not talking about the AC... thats out of my reach for now...

so I went to the largest convention in my city, Animex, last weekend (July 3, 4, 5), and to be honest, I've seen better from them... a lot less stands to buy stuff, and NO POKEDOLLS! D: that didn't stop me from buying a plush for my growing collection... X3

all my RL friends went, though I spent most of the time with a new friend...she's really fun to hang out with, even if she was a little clumsy... XP

I bought a ton of stuff! my prized possession being my new arm blade! I still can't believe they actually make swords like that! I also bought buttons of my fav brawl characters + krystal, some Ramune, a buizel plush (though it looks kinds funny), an awesome Ice Mario keychain, a bunch of onigiris, some postcards with art from the great Magolobo (*wonders if he has FA account to link to*), and a Chibi ROB sticker (though a friend took it by accident... D: ). there were a lot of cool cosplays too! I'll post some of them into my photobucket account. Im planning on cosplaying myself in the next convention as ROB! I already have an idea of how in my head, and once I draw it, I will post it here.


onto the next topic, my lappy had an unfortunate fate and died... D,: I've been taking it to the warranty place to get it fixed for free (damn people, they do EVERYTHING to try to make you pay...). at this very moment, Im making a backup of all the important stuff. yeah, they took out the internal hard drive and gave it to me. big thanks to my dad for getting a SATA to USB cable...if it wasnt for that, I would have had to pay $70 to make the back up with someone else...awesome thing about the cable is, I can now offer the job of backing up data! all I need now is my own external hard drive...


photos! I'm recently in a photo calss! its really awesome! I didn't know about doing cool effects until recently. I have some pretty cool ones to share, though the camera is a classic film type, so I'll have to scan them at my friend's (like everything else I've uploaded recently)...
