why: Personally, I like that I can tell the element it represents, despite being a shark.
and the pose itself. it looks like small tail, and I kinda like that. while I am not a fan of the shade of green, it doesnt make or break the entry. it has a wild yet earthy look to it and that's something i can respect.

why: this one took me off gaurd. the unique tail is very very nice, and I like how it's horns attach to the tail. and I like how the main body looks. the big hair is very consistent with the examples. but it falls short when it comes to being able to identify the element. like I said, it was a close race.


the others that  york_indayla had commissioned also look very very nice. but in the end, there can only be one.

Well while I was in my thinking area (aka the shower)
I decided on some things.

1) The comic. I'll be doing it Monthly starting sometime this fall or sooner if I can get a good writer or two to help me with the story and pacing.

2) RP forum. My friend  shaydenekokoro is 'donating' an old forum for this use. I'll be using it for updates and the rp's themselves (if it gets off the ground well enough) as inspiration. and if a character I see on the rp gets a cool enough rep, Its a good chance I'll add them to the comic (pending if that's what they want). Ill be opening the forum later this month hopefully

3)After this current batch of commissions, I'll be posting more characters, and Bounty Hunter Prey.

I dont go to see movies often. But when something catches my eye I try to go.

I was reaaaallly geeked for this move. I dont even know why. SO I go to see it hoping to get a nice experience of some live action movie. first thing I notice...Its kind of a short move for
AN ENTIRE SEASON OF THE SHOW. But I was all eh. could still be good.

No.

Just..

Slow down


The first half hour or so of the movie was 80-90% of the show's first season. with most of the characters not mentioned or even talked about in passing. admittedly, they concentrated on 2 parts.

The part where The Blue Spirit saves Aang.(now pronounced ahng)

and the part about the Northern Water Tribe. (Severely edited for time's sake I guess)


OK. those parts' action scenes were phenomenal.

but horribly paced...like the entire movie.

ok now that I've gotten the pacing issues out of the way.


Lets talk about the 6 characters that mater-ish.

Aang- Not funny or childish anymore. rushed backstory kills his persona.

Katara- bout the same as the cartoon with less expression.

Sokka-.......Just...might as well not even been there. not funny at all.

Zuko- bout the same, but next to no character development in the movie.

Iroh- At first I was "Dont know if want" and warmed up to "Kind of want"

Ozai- About as intimidating as a peice of lukewarm toast....no beard.

actually,
no one has a real beard except the northern tribe master and his is shortish.

dont ask about Momo and Appa.


there's more...but im lazy. I just felt the entire movie, aside from two parts, was rushed.

also no boomi,jet,jet's gang,ba sing se, earth benders on a boat, sokka and katara calling their grandma "gran gran", epic Ozai, fire temple, kyoshi warriors, BOOMI..uh you get the point I guess. bending takes a day and a half to preform anything. firebenders cant just "Firebend". Aang sucks at waterbending for no reason, then goes and makes a water wave. also no giant fish-mech.
after the movie I was all "EH".

Im going to colossalcon in June (3-6) AND since thats coming up fast I should let you in on a couple things.

1) I'll likely not be able to finish ALL of my commissions before then.
