hi there guys! this has been a super busy week, i had a big test yesterday that took most of my time, so i'm delayed on my commissions, please forgive me! :( i did my best to finish everything i had before sunday (the pics, that is, comics are impossible to finish that quickly xD) so i hope you understand.
ALSO, i know i had some new commissions this week, and i asked you guys to wait until wednesday. the thing is last week i got so many notes i can't find who were the interested people on them ^^u so if you guys could note me again it would be awesome x3

oh, and starting today i'll work on the raffle prizes, too! i'll wake up super early so i can work on them, alongside the usual commissions and comics! ^^ i hope you enjoy them! :D

a weird thing happens to me, specially with characters that are used for comics. i get really attached to them! even if they belong to someone else.
when working for a comic, you get to know the character, how we heacts to stuff, his backgrounds, and all that, and then you draw him several times, and it's super fun! but then, the comic's finished and you don't get to draw the character again :( it has happened with almost every character i've featured in a comic x3 after all, i love to work with others!
and working on comics is really rewarding, too! discussing the story's details, info about the characters and stuff. it's a blast ^^

to a artist, motivation is everything. if you draw by obligation, it shows in the drawings! but it's a very tricky thing to mantain, specially when you're just starting! all you need to lose is one bad comment or one bad experience, but of course, you can lose that motivation naturally too.

in my case, i've been drawing a lot, specially during my summer vacations, and i got to the point where i ask myself "what should i draw now?" "no, i've done that before" or i just end up drawing something that i realize afterwards, i've already drawn.
for some odd reason, i'm really affraid that comes, when people start thinking "he's done that before" or that all my pics start to look the same. i don't meant the style, that's obviously the same :P i meant when you think "i've seen this pic done before"... but getting new ideas is tricky, too!
i've been trying to get out of my comfort zone, doing sketches of stuff i don't usually draw, like foreskin, buttholes, i've even been thinking of drawing females (i've been asked if i draw them twice this week! xD) and i've been having various degrees of sucess with those things ^^u but it has been fun! getting out of your thing, and trying new stuff, can help you get that motivation back, the one that you were losing.
but if that doesn't help, a time out is always good, you can get yourself busy with other things, to come back fresh, with new ideas!

last week was super busy! and i already know this one will be as well!
if all goes according to plan i should be uploading a new short comic next week, but something even more awesome is coming up!
i currently have 987 watchers, and i'm planning something big for when i hit the 1000! i'm super excited ^^ so i'm already getting ready for that :P and i bet you guys will be too!

Its one of the most rewarding and scariest things ever.

i usually don't mind that much about what others think about my art, i mean, you can like it, you can hate it,but at the end of the day, what matters is that I like it and that i'm hapy with what i do.

working with others is a totally different issue, though!

when doing commissions, the only thing that matters is that they like it! they are paying, after all! i get anxious about it, but i don't get anxious about my art that much, after all, they know my art and chose me to do something :)

working with other artist or for another artist is the most stress inducing experience, though!
specally if they're super talented and better than me. it makes me feel so... inadecuate! haha! since i know they can do better stuff, or fix it or something. i just want to do my best, but i know i'm not that great, so i end up all stressed out.
at the end it ends up well all the time! and i really i'm just being silly... until next time i have to work with someone like that xD

i've never had a bad experience while working with other artists, it has been super fun each time! and i've learnt a lot too :3

last week was really weird for me, full of ups and downs, but it ended in a really good way :)
i didn't upload as much but practiced animations and such... and i realized that i can't currently do growth animations :(
at least right now. but i'm still trying to figure out a way to do it! :D

oh, also, i'll start doing a small comic thingy every sunday, as you probably noticed :P
also, got my first pic wth 100 favs, which is a great milestone for me!

It was a little bit more than a year ago when i started drawing.
i had been a furry for years, whatching art, reading comics, and such. of course, i had my favorite pieces of art, too! it was funny though, because i had been a furry for years but i didn't even had a fursona. i hadn't even think about it! that was something for people who could draw, and i had no talent whatsoever. one day, i was checking on the submissions that had been uploaded by the guys i watched and i saw it!
i guess everybody has "that picture", that pic that you don't really know what it has, but you're SO into it.
this picture was of a tiger. he was so buff... i've seen bigger and buffer, but that pic had something special to it, kind of hard to explain!
as any guy, sometimes you wanted to fap, and i always came for that pic to do the job, did that for years!.
one day, i dreamt that i was wlking down the street and a thunder came down... i had turned into that tiger in real life! it was an awesome dream. when i woke up i knew it, my fursona was a tiger. But how do show it to others? i don't have any talent... or do i?
i went to the store and bough one pencil and a sketck book, i got home, and nervously i tried to draw something, out of memory, after years of whatching muscular furs in this site. the result was terrible, barely resembling a feline, but yet... somehow, that was the closer i had ever been to having my fursona, my very muscular fursona! i felt proud of that really poor drawing. "maybe if i do it with the computer it will look better" i though, and i took a pic with my cellphone of my drawing, and drew over it using my mouse. it looked better. "maybe i can tell a story that everybody can enjoy, like i've been enjoying other's stories all these years!" i though, and started drawing my first comic, that very same moment, without thinking it too much. the result was poor, to say the least, from a technical point of view, but it was mine... it was something i could truly say "i did it!". i wasn't expecting anything as i drew it, but people were very nice to me, liking the comic a lot! (at least in this page, not so much in others).

i eventually got my drawing tablet, and that's where i really improved. i felt like drawing with my mouse was limiting me. i forced myself to draw everyday, and i got to the point where my tools were getting in the way, so the drawing tablet that the next logical step. i did tons of comics, tons of new art, too! making awesome new friends in the process, and taking great joy in the fact that people liked what i did.

then, one day, it happened. he watched me. the very same person that did that buff tiger drawing years ago, gave me a watch on FA. when i saw it, i froze in place for some seconds, i didn't even know how to react, then i freaked out. i talked to my boyfriend, freaking out at how he had watched me. i had talked to him about that artist several times so he kind of understood why i was so excited. it was so hard to believe! that person i looked up to so much, someone i admired so much, someone who, without knowing it, had teached me SOOOOO much, had recognized my work, and though it was good enough to give me a watch!
i couldn't do much more drawing that day, i turned into such a happy kitten, i couldn't focus on anything.
i knew i had finally done it, i was in the right track.

the senpai had finally noticed me, and it was awesome.




TL;DR: he watched me and i freaked out!

this was just a though, trying to show the new artist's reaction to when a big artist of FA likes/watches you. it's such a precious moment... i think big artists don't always realize how much that can mean to someone who's just starting, and how much we really respect them :)

hi there, guys! it's me, josh :P sharing some news
i'll stop doing the daily practices. i know some of you liked them, but i can't keep doing one pic per day (somedays it was even more!) i am back in class so i have less time, and i was putting unnecessary pressure on myself by doing one pic per day, along with working on commissions, it's just too much work. i'll still upload stuff! just not daily.

i'll use that free time to work on my own projects, like "the big life" and "pet mansion", as well as trying out animation.

i hope i can make you guys happy with what i am planning! :D

hi guys! well, this will be an annoying week, because i have to go back to class! :( so i won't have as much time to draw as usual u.u i'll still try to do the daily practices, but no promises! x3

for this week, as some of you know i wanted to do fanart, but i finally settled for a theme! it's called "childhood ENHACED!" so i'll be beefing up characters from our childhoods! :P i already picked up today's, but i need help with the rest of the week, so all suggestions are welcomed!!
