Patreon?!
Posted 10 years agoI just thought about this idea, and I haven't yet seen it done on FP or even really at a smaller scale on DA very much, so I thought I would put this up here to see if there would be any interest!
The site Patreon is a site which allows users to subscribe (for usually a very low price every week or few weeks, month etc) for rewards from an artist. I'm making this post to see if there will be any interest when I start my Patreon!
Rewards:
I'll probably be doing $2 per week or something, and have various rewards like a couple of bases for that price per week, or something, for you to colour in yourself as much as you like for your own personal use, and also occasionally tutorials or other resources. For higher subscriptions I thought about adding things such as resellable character bases for example (if I can make it work right, if not they would just have to be unsellable), sketch packs and stuff. Of course I would probably also share things such as brush settings and painting/colouring etc techniques, but not as much. You will be free to use the rewards for as long as you like, as much as you like!
Of course every person will get the same rewards, however I hope to generate enough interest in this so that I can release quite a few rewards each week so people can choose and use their favourites. And for a couple of bucks per week, I feel like people might enjoy this as this would pretty much cost even less than just one tag recolour, which isn't that much, honestly. About the same price as a coffee!
Just, please, if this is something that interests you, please reply so I can see if it's something worth doing at all!

Paint tool sai Wacom issue?
Posted 10 years agoI used to get this issue occasionally, but now I get it all the time and I don't really know what it is... It's really annoying because every time it happens I have to restart my computer. Today I restarted it three times and I've only been drawing for about an hour and a half.
Currently using a Wacom Intuos pen and touch (bought it last year) and just paint tool sai, and sometimes after a while when I return to the program, when I press down the pen to draw it kind of "sticks" and sort of lags a little before drawing my line, and when it does it recognises it as a mouse I guess, with no smoothing of the line or pressure sensitivity or anything.
Please, does anyone know what this is? Or a fix to it?
I tried restarting sai and closing the tablet things in processes, but it doesn't work. I only have this issue for sai
