Tell me what interests YOU in a Patreon?
I plan to launch a Patreon in May and I want it to be the best possible and interest my followers.
You can expect illustrations, digital and traditional and specifically animated works and tinkering.
I am actually trying to do some research first instead of just blindly launching one willy-nilly.

Posted 10 years agoOkay. THE LION GUARD IS HIRING 2D ANIMATORS. The freaking Lion Guard. How COOL would it be to animate on a Lion King tv show?! My 10 year old self would DIE IN SHOCK AND DELIGHT. But like I said, I am having a moment right now. Because I am kicking myself. Kicking kicking because 1. the job is in Canada and I do not have a permanent residence card or anything like that and 2. I don't even have an animation showreel. And why not? I want to be an animator! What have I been doing for the the past few years? Idk, being lazy, dragging my feet? Working full time to pay my loans! That is what. But I cannot keep working full time to pay my student loans and rent etc. at a job that the student loans weren't even for. A job that I technically could have found with no college.
I graduated from Bowling Green State University in December 2012. It has been three years and I have been applying to jobs in the industry all three years. Yet, no calls. Part to blame is being in Ohio. Part to blame is me not having any recent animation to show. I would like to blame my professors in college in part, because I could only study 3D animation there and I did not enjoy 3D animation. I fought with the professors every year to be allowed to produce Flash animation and lost every year with them saying "No, of course not. Flash is being phased out and only 3D will exist very soon." Now it is 3 years later and as I go through all of these job positions I see 2D Flash Animator everywhere and 2D Toonboom Animator everywhere. Yeah it is not the most common thing, but it is out there, hiring, unlike my teachers predicted.
My new years resolution was to apply apply apply like crazy and so far I have applied to 10+ companies for multiple positions. I think I need to change gears though, and build my animation portfolio instead and save money to move. I need more art, and to move to the industry area. In my previous journal about the new year I did mention moving and saving money. This is all still true.
In July katalist and I are still moving to Georgia! To save money for the move to the west coast. I was debating where on the West Coast, but I talked it over with Kat and we are much more enthused about the Vancouver, British Columbia route. We feel much more excited about Canada than California. We still hope to go to SIGGRAPH this July for inspiration if we can swing it. And then next year SIGGRAPH is in LA and the following year it is planned for Vancouver. 2 years sounds like a good amount of time to build a strong portfolio and money to move to Vancouver, apply for permanent residency cards and all that jazz, find a home there near Vancouver and be in location by SIGGRAPH 2018. Obviously I will be applying for jobs during that entire time. I won't be just waiting for 2018 to try. Just, instead of pouring days each week into job applications I will be doing more animation instead.
i would like to purchase ToonBoom to learn, when I went to SIGGRAPH in 2012 I was blown away by how much better than Flash it seemed to be. I will probably be resubscribing to Animation Magazine as well as it was a major inspiration and kept me connected to new trends in the industry.
For this winter/spring I will be working full time, finishing MFF commissions and doing some small animations to warm up. By summer my commissions should be done, and I can animated more. I am currently debating not selling at GLFC so that I do not move to Georgia with a queue... or if I sell ((because I did already purchase my table)) maybe premades only and badges. We will see! And on that note, what premades would YOU like to see?
Would there be any interest in an animation Patreon from me? Maybe I could generate some small income for pursuing animation <3
Thanks to anyone who actually read that! I mostly just needed to vent my frustration and ideas about what is going on in my life. I am very excited about getting on track again and eventually, moving to Canada! If they will have Katalist and I, of course!

°○ And now Infierna's 2016 New Year Post ○°
Posted 10 years ago2015, how to summarize you? It feels like it was so short and also, so long! And it is over already. I had a lot of great memories, and a lot of sad memories. It could possibly be my happiest year and my scariest year at the same time, but I doubt that. I have had much happier years ;3 *coughcoughwedding* Overall I can say it was a learning experience, and am looking forward to moving on.
It is probably the most I have ever felt self-doubt throughout a year. Even with a better job than cashiering ((my past job)) I have still struggles with feeling important or like I am moving forward. I have started adventuring into Dealers Dens, and even made it to MFF DD in December. That was amazing. Without college teaching me and moving me forward I then moved on to wedding planning that gave me something to plan and move forward. For 2015, what was there? No big plans such as a wedding or college graduation. Moving to dealers dens is probably my big move up of the year. And what for 2016? I have been inspired by so many of my friends moving away from Ohio, onto bigger and better things. I want to be like them, always growing!
I need to propel myself farther, WITHOUT more debt/college. I need to take more upon myself in learning animation, through online classes most likely.
So, with the support of my amazing mate katalist we have made the decision to move to Georgia in July 2016, and live with their parents (who are more than welcoming) in order to save up for a bigger move in 2017. Our current end goal is to move to the west coast or Canada. With our current bills we are having difficulty saving money to move so far right away. A year with parents should be ample to put rent aside, at most two years.
Meanwhile I will be working on my portfolio and ALWAYS applying for more art jobs. I cannot wait to delve into animation again as soon as I can set aside time to learn and purchase classes. Maybe 1 week every month should be for portfolio work instead of commissions, something to get me moving. Who knows, maybe I will be hired sooner than 2017 or sooner than we even move to GA! I am still hoping to attend SIGGRAPH 2016. ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIGGRAPH ) However with the move, and an additional family trip in July, we will have to see how things go.
I do want to thank my watchers, family, friends, and followers for all of their support. You grow in number every convention that I go to and always amaze me with your warmth and kindness. I am starting to get more and more take home commissions from conventions, and heck, even when I go to a convention and do not sell at a table, you still seek me out and inquire about art! That really amazes me and makes me feel so warm inside.
Last year I made a good resolution and kept it. Which was saving for and obtaining a partial fursuit. This year I hope I can do it again in saving for a new home/job in Canada or the west coast. Or you know, west coast Canada! And applying to even more jobs and doing more personal art.
The next convention I will be selling at is Great Lakes Fur Con. My next conventions for fun are Fur Squared, FWA, and Motor City Furry Con.
Thank you again everyone, stay beautiful!

°○ Infierna's MFF Recap ○°
Posted 10 years agoFirst I want to say thank you for every single person who stopped by my table and said hello, or grabbed a business card (I ran out!), or bought a commission or plushie. I am going to be drawing for a LONG time now. Thanks everyone *huffs smoke* Hahaha. I love you all. I never feel more alive then when I am running around at a furry convention.
My first MFF Dealer experience was a blast! It really could not have gone better. I just have to remember next year to do take home only because I literally had no time to draw the entire convention, not even while at the art table! I was so constantly socializing with other people. Which is great!
I arrived on Thursday and set up my table with dear katalist. It has not even been a week and I already am forgetting what happened on Thursday, wow, but on Friday evening i remember allred recommending some kick-butt deep dish pizza that I got to enjoy with some friends including tsukunertov and hexclaw. After all the running around we all did, (from con to one hotel to the con to another hotel and THEN pizza, oops) we were so tired. Hex had some really fun caramel apple drink I got to try!
On Saturday had some more amazing times meeting people. I was mostly at my table because even katalist was out having too much fun to visit ;) Afterwards I did even more running around, had some drinks and got pretty tipsy and was going to head to a room party before drawing. Instead, I ended up running back to Aloft (my hotel) with Cosu, Roarrak, and Hex where we talked for a long time and then I stayed up til 3 am doing art. No sleep! I could not last any longer before crashing.
Up again on Sunday for final day of sale. Got an amazing badge from tikikata that I wore later on. Packed up my Dealer table and had the kick-butt deep dish pizza again because i just had to have it again before leaving. Got to even play some exploding kittens with martog and Roarrak and Hex before we all had to split. OH WAIT then I didnt want the con to be over so we all ran back to the convention hotel and I ran around for quite a while more taking pictures especially of REINDEER. And the other cuties. Went to the dance and wiggled and then started saying bye because too tired.
Drove home on Monday. Well, Katalist did, because the complimentary coffee at Aloft was OUT and I was said and super tired. I will probably update this journal if I remember more stuff but I think I hit all the main points. I dont really get to do any panels or anything because of Dealing, but you can see my fursuit in the parade with Katalist!

Fur Reality Recap - My First Vacationcon!
Posted 10 years agoI've gotta say, having a vacation was really needed! A week ago I was approved for a Midwest Furfest Dd Table (yay) and my queue is still large enough to keep me going until then. So with queue and Mff prep I decided to take off Fur Reality and try it from the non art sales side of things. It was great and it went REALLY fast!
Unfortunately The downside was going without my Katalist who I really missed, they had to work all weekend at home. Miss you babe!
Now I have to see what I can remember at the moment. I had my first fursuit picture taken, can't wait to see those posted! And was in the parade! King Kougra decked me out with some spiders and snakes for my spikes for Halloween. I got to hang with so many amazing people, Kazeli Coyote, Iiiix, Izixs, Jaru, Punkcat, Kanza, the awesome Lego team, Demmy, Spot, Fig, Lord Fenrir, Ahna, Arluza, Yume Kitsune, Axi and oh my gosh there are so many fun people I can't keep naming more haha. You know who you are!
I fursuited a LOT I was almost always in suit. I tried Furry Feud, Uncle Kage story hour, got pictures with the Bone dog. ALL HAIL the Bone Dog! And went to my first sketchbook exchange. That I will have to do more often! Also I danced a lot, met the awesome Dj Zander! And got to browse the awesome art as well.
It is really awesome to see how Fur Reality has grown from year one. I am proud to be a part of their convention every year and I hope next year is just as amazing and better!
All Hail Bone Dog!

°○ What is Wrong With Me ○°
Posted 10 years ago
I am not really sure where to start with this journal. Maybe I should start with: today I learned what might be wrong, and hopefully how to fix it.
Since Indyfurcon I have been really depressed. The convention was great, I loved it a lot. But upon returning the next day I started back to work 40-55 each week, and as such have not had time to draw since then. My apologies to my commissioners, but I have started doodling last weekend to get back up. My queue is large and it will probably take me until MFF to finish it up.
At work I hire to fill a dining hall with student employees, and the hire process that used to be all paper and I could hire 6 students in one sit down has been dramatically slowed down to hiring one or two at a time. This is awful while we are understaffed. The full time staff that are there are all working overtime and I feel like it is my fault because I cannot hire fast enough. Other students quit and I blame myself, even though it is not my fault.
Work is at least busy enough that time is passing quickly, even this week things are starting to get better as the establishment finally seems to have a basic amount of employees and I am still hiring more. I have finally updated my other accounts with artwork that I have gotten at other cons, something I usually have done right after the convention.
This journal is to address the fact that I have been very depressed off an on since the convention. There have been an instance or two where I go to sleep late, crying and wake up shakey. Drive to work crying, but after talking to my husband things calm down. He calms we down in ways that others cannot. I don't know what I would do without him. These weeks I feel like I am working, coming home, eating, sleeping. I did not want to draw. I did not want to play games. I did not want to see people. I am trying hard to fix it, but it is hard when my mind rebels at seeing others at all, even if I know it is what I need. One day I feel like worthless mud, and the next day I wake up all better and perky but by the time I go to sleep I feel bad again and wonder, what happened?
This is the longest that I have ever been upset and uninspired. So today while working my second job (yeah, two jobs during this crazy mess at the first job haha) I wanted to tackle what the hell is wrong with me. I do NOT like who I have turned in to. I am mean, bitter, jealous, all of these things that I never used to be.
While at Wal-Mart, of all places, I finally figured out what is causing me to lash out at others and hate myself. I realized, as I help the (usually) smiling customers at Wal-Mart with the simple task of getting groceries and chatting about our days... that I am mean to myself. I am, in my mind, always overthinking, analyzing, picking apart. And this past month, I have been tormenting myself. While others are complimenting me I have been putting myself done.
Almost constantly every day I have been telling myself horrible things. That I am a monster. That I am a horrible person. That I cannot hire fast enough. I cannot keep people at work. I cannot work late enough or hard enough. That I am ugly. That my art isn't as good as other artists. I cannot do art well for fast enough. Everyone prefers others to me in all aspects of life. That my beliefs don't match other furries and it makes me a bad person. I tear myself up inside every day.
The horrible thing is that it took me a whole month to realize that my temper and snarky unhappiness is due to myself. I am doing it to myself. And I need to stop. I must stop.
This is not due to anyone else but myself putting myself down. Relentlessly.
I feel like after high school I stopped drawing immensely. I drew only for school during college years. Furries have brought the love of drawing back. But I still tell myself I am awful because I don't draw well enough to get a job IN art. I yell at myself wondering what happened. Why do I feel like I am nobody when I know I'm not. Of course I am somebody and I can be good enough. I am just not looking hard enough. Not trying hard enough. I used to have such passion for animation and animated film and since high school I have animated nothing. Well, 3D stuff in college, but 2D is what I enjoy.
Some beast inside me has wrought pain and self doubt in my mind. It has been eating at me all month. It tells me evil things like why bother. Nobody cares. When I am surrounded by nothing but friends and family that do care. I am being blind and stubborn.
So what I need to do, is first keep hiring enough people to keep my first job at the dining hall staffed. Start working normal hours. And stop putting myself down. That is the main thing I have to stop being a horrible bitch to myself, and then I will stop taking it out on others. I have to find the hope and inspiration again. I have, as a first step, deleted my Twitter. I have been majorly unhappy since getting one and have found it to be just a way to cry for attention and rant and whine when nobody notices you. It did not help my mindset.
I do not want to keep hurting myself and my friends. I need to find what it was about animation that I loved and nurture it again, and I am behind. I will be taking much less commissions so that I can focus on character work, storyboarding, animating again. Furry art cannot make a portfolio for a job on its own. I need the money that commissions bring, but at the same time I need a portfolio to get a better job. If you want a commission I will be selling at Midwest Furfest and probably Fur Squared, but after that I cannot guarantee any more.
I have a thirst to move forward, and moping in Ohio and being depressed will fix nothing. Wish me luck. You are all amazing.

°○ Comissions Closed ○°
Posted 10 years ago
I am closing my commissions today until further notice. I am returning to my full-time clerical job where I recruiting student employees to work for a university dining hall and it's going to be nuts. Especially September, so don't expect to see a ton of me here.
Anyone can get commissions from me at furreality, or Midwest Furfest. I may or may not be doing YCH during this time. Also, if you really are interested in a piece please note me and I can see about setting up a wait-list for when I do open.
If you have an outstanding commission with me, don't worry! I am still working on them all. Just understand that I'm working 40+ hours a week now and will have less time for art. I won't let you down!
I love my job and I love conventions, so sadly the online commissions are going to have to take the cut. Let me know if you want on a waiting list though or if you want anything for FR pickup.

{{ Commissions Closing Monday 7/13 }}
Posted 10 years ago
July is a busy month for me, I have Anthrocon this weekend and the following weekend I will be celebrating my one year wedding anniversary with katalist and we will be taking a small trip. And once we return I will be returning to my full-time job. I noticed last school year it took a lot longer for my artwork to get done once I started full-time work. Therefore to help reduce my stress and commissioners' wait times I am just going to close commissions after AC, on Monday July 13.
After this point anyone can get commissions from me at indyfurcon (Dealer's Den), furreality, or Midwest Furfest. I may or may not be doing YCH during this time. Also, if you really are interested in a piece please note me and I can see about setting up a wait-list for when I do open.

{{ Great Lakes Fur Con - Quick Notes Before Work Week }}
Posted 10 years agoI want to say some quick notes before I head to bed for the day, I had a blast at greatlakesfurcon! Amazing convention and I did great in Dealers Den! I would love to be a dealer again next year and can't wait to see the new hotel they choose.
To my commissioners: I will not be able to really sit and update my FA and queue until this weekend. I just got back from the convention and will not even be able to really unpack until Friday. I work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9 hours a day at Wal-Mart. Rest assured when I can sit down this weekend and go through my orders I will go through my queue and message/e-mail or text each of you.
I also have commissions on my queue from Morphicon, FWA, and MCFC. I will be working through these first before GLFC commissions. I will email ALL commissioners to update them and also find out if any of you/them are going to Anthrocon or Indyfurcon so that I can deliver your commissions to you there if not sooner. I want to get all of my commissioners their goodies in the best way possible!
Thank you for your patience, and check your notes/emails this weekend if you are waiting for any art/updates from me. For now, I need to rest! Thank you again for your support!

°○ FWA 2015 Recap ○°
Posted 10 years agoFWA Racap
I am not really sure where to start this journal, I had a lot of good and bad memories of this convention ((good outweigh the bad, no worries)) that swirl in my mind so I have to try and organize them. I got to room with katalist, lordfenrir, tikikata, pyroassassin, and sonichomeboy.
After work on Wednesday
katalist and I drove overnight to their mother's house in GA where we slept for the day and afterwards had a great dinner before heading to the hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel we were shocked that the hotel parking was already full. We ended up in another garage nearby. I went to the Artist Alley for a little bit that night.
Friday morning I waited in line with my friends to get into the Artist Alley and we all got in (yay!) even if in the back of the room. Sales were okay that day, but were enough to keep my busy. We went to dinner with
lordfenrir,
tikikata and katalist's parents. They are non-furries but it was really great, they treated us to Pie in the Sky for some gigantic delicious pizzas! They kept trying to suggest that I get into tattoo art, or even automobile art design. I still cannot tell if they want to help me make more money or if they just don't care for me drawing furry art. I stayed up that evening making badges, even after my roommates all went to sleep I stayed up sitting next to one little lamp cutting and laminating and trying not to be loud. And then
pyroassassin returned from his escapades and was astounded to see me still at work, hahaha. Hey, gotta get that art delivered.
Saturday we were up early again for Artist Alley, got some Starbucks. Art was again steady enough to keep me busy, but not crazy.
katalist was in their first fursuit parade! For dinner we went to the diner near the hotel because Hard Rock Cafe was super busy. And then afterwards we were treated to front row seats to the Dance Comp from
princessrei. The seats were so amazing, and at the end of the dance I even got to see Sparky and many other dancers.
Sunday was difficult, I was up until 3 am the night before again doing badges. Which is fine. We were up very early to claim our seats. I reached a point early in the morning that took me a bit to get out of, because I realized that this was the very first convention where I did not profit or even break even. With travel costs, hotel, registration and even more I was negative profit. I am doing fine, but realize that I need to step up my game as other artists around me grow their talent and find their true style. I had to work up my self esteem a bit and instead of being sad decided to embrace it to strengthen my work. Not only did I realize this on Sunday, but I sold only one badge that day. At least for dinner that night we did get to go to Hard Rock Cafe, which I was going to be sad if we did not go.
After dinner I suited with Lord Fenrir, Katalist, Ahna, and
jordandire and
. Had drinks in our room, listened to Game of Thrones while having great talks. Afterwards I was still down a bit so for the very first time Tikikata and I went to a furry dance. I saw that
was going to go and decided to screw it, have some whiskey and go dance. Turns out I could not find him, but maybe next time. The dance was hella fun and my shoulders STILL hurt from... all that freaking fist pumping and jumping craziness! A great end I must say and I will be trying more dances. Have to stay brave!
So we drove home on Monday, crashed in our bed in Ohio and slept. Worked today and I still have not unpacked. To my commissioners, I will update my queue this weekend at the latest. Everyone's business cards are also still in my suitcase. I DID get some amazing artwork, I knocked three wants off of my wishlist including that Katalist bought me a birthday commission from
stigmata! I am so pumped.
Plans for next year, I must be honest I was not going to go back because of high cost, but will give it another go. Most likely I will try for Dealers Den and not worry about the freaking early hours first come first serve AA OR I might just say screw it and make it my for fun convention. We will probably stay with Kat's parents instead of the hotel, which also sucks... but... we will see what happens, what with suiting and all. I guess as long as we can find some loving individual's room to stash our suits in lol.
Amazingly run convention, extremely fun. I am glad to decide to go back next year ((and will sleep BEFORE the long ass drive there this time...))

Also I find it ironic that a year ago, there was another mass move to Weasyl. I didn't move then, but have since then made an account.

{{ PayPal Warning!! }}

This is "Rebloged" text.
PAYPAL IS TRYING TO SLIP THE RUG UNDER US. Or they may have said this and just no one read about it or noticed/knew.
OKAY SO BEFORE YOU SEND ANY MONEY FOR THAT AWESOME COMMISSION YOU WANT TO BUY FROM THAT AWESOME ARTIST. PLEASE STOP AND READ THIS.
Paypal changed the look of how you will fill out information and send money. Thus, you need to be super careful. Don’t go all willy nilly through and be like “Yeah yeah yeah send” you need to stop when you see this screen right away.
Before you proceed, you will first notice one major thing: your address is showing. What you need to do if you are ordering a DIGITAL WORK (aka, it is being sent to you via the interwebz) is you need to click on your address and there around be a drop down menu of 3 (or more) options:
No address needed
Your Current Address
+ Add a new shipping address
Be sure to select “No address needed”, it is very important that you do. If you leave your address in there, Paypal will assume that you are to receive a physical package. A physical package which needs proof that exists physically. Paypal will want the artist to provide shipping labels and tracking info on said package. This is bad, very, very bad. Artists can get in trouble if they cannot provide these things.
Please, if an artist asks to send you back your money so that you can send it again correctly, do not be offended. You are paying them to do your commission, how can they do your commission with no money?
Reblog this, send this around, if you want to make a proper tutorial go ahead, I hope this was clear enough as it is.

Posted 10 years ago

Little update journal! Just went to a bowling meet with northwestohiofurs last night and it was great! Got to see some great friends again. I just preregistered for myself and katalist for FWA! So excited. Her fursuit from
was shipped recently, and last weekend I put in a down payment for an Infierna partial from them as well and she should be completed around April 15, right before my birthday on the 17. Also I will be at MCFC!
Still chugging away at commissions, they are going slowly because I am working full time now as I've said before and I am very grateful for everyone's patience.
I am planning a little surprise on launching my 'company' I guess you could say. Making a Facebook for my art, having this be my art account and everything and keeping Infierna's information on the side on
infierna. I've realized that outside of furry conventions, it can be hard to sell my artwork with my current business card. It has Infierna on it and it's not the best representation of an all around art seller. Non-furries are probably confused on to what she is or why she is there. I have DA and FA on there with screen names which, if people don't know what an FA or a DA is, it's useless. I'm going to be making a new business card, Facebook Page, maaaybe even redo my website. I'm going to type out the full site links on the cards so that when I hand them out to non-furries they know exactly where to go to find my artwork.
I'll be launching the new cards, information etc at
at my first Dealer's Den table. I am hoping to have a brand new setup and look that isn't just Infierna. She might still be on the banner but I don't want it to just be a company about her you know what I mean lol. I've been thinking on it since I will be running out of old cards and needing to order new ones and a banner etc. at the same time.
I don't know lol. Just rambling at this point. I just want to say thank you to everyone! The commissions from this winter are essentially helping me pay for my fursuit. If you've noticed I've started doing more transformation art and I love it -- you will be seeing more! <3
My partial from
thegrottocreations should debut at
greatlakesfurcon so keep a look out!
