What kind of flash fiction would you like me to write?

I'm planning on doing a fair few of these flash fiction stories, which are usually around 1000 words or less.
Are there any topics, settings, or species that you would like me to use next? I'm thinking of doing a vore story next, as I have not written one on this topic alone before, and I would like to do a Digimon story at some point, too.
If you have any ideas or requests, fire them over in the comments :)

I struggle weekly with suicidal thoughts

That title is a bit of a downer, no? Well, it is true, but also, I used to suffer from these thoughts hourly, or at least daily, and have survived no less than three suicide attempts over the last 10 years, at least that I can remember clearly. In other words, things are actually a lot better than they were, overall. This is primarily due to finding the right mix of medications that worked for me, which took rather a look time, but I got there in the end. It is also why I went very quiet on here for a long time, and why I dropped out of contact with a lot of people.
I just wanted to make this journal for people who struggle with depression (severe or mild) and let you know that things can and do get better, even when it feels like there is no hope. I know that it can be difficult in some countries, but it is very important to access the help of mental health professionals, as this is usually the start of a journey to recovery. Depression is a difficult thing to deal with, and it is even hard to deal with it alone, so try to get that help if you can.
There are certain unhelpful things that people can say to you when you feel depressed, so I'm going to try to respond to some of them:
-Them: life is hard, you just have to deal with it.
-Me: there are parts of life that can be hard, but life overall does not have to be hard. Don't let other people's experiences dictate how you should perceive life.
-Them: just do some exercise and eat healthily, and you'll feel better.
-Me: whilst exercise and healthy eating can help, it is not sufficient treatment for Major Depressive Disorders (MDD). Please see qualified mental health professionals, if you can.
-Them: you just need to think positively.
-Me: Depression is a recognised clinical disorder, and there is zero evidence that 'positive thinking' alone can cure your depression. Don't feel bad if you are unable to do this, you are not alone.
There are many others, too many for a journal, but just remember that not everyone is educated on this topic, and even if they are trying to be helpful, sometimes it does not help, but that's okay. There are people out there who can help :)

I need help/advice with an enormous world-building projec...
General | Posted 4 years agoSooo, where to start? I have a rather colossal world in which my characters like Mirabilis and Messeriah inhabit. It spans a timescale of several millennia, involves a ridiculous number of story arcs, histories, cultures, species, worlds etc, and here is the kicker... So, I need to explain something about myself first: I have a *good* memory. I can recall most of the plots and characters that I have come up with when daydreaming over the last 15 years. However, most of this is entirely in my head. I have written almost none of it down, and I'm honestly not sure why, but I know it would be time-intensive.
Where do I need help and advice? Well, after my exam next week I'll be free as a bird for the summer, and I would like to take some time to share some of this universe on here. But where to begin? The art that already exists of these characters is a sort of sneak peek into this world, and I have more of that on the way. However, I'm certain that no better medium exists to share these kinds of stories than writing (though, I may be biased), so I'd like to do some writing.
Writing everything up into one coherent story is basically a no-go, as it would make the Wheel of Time look paltry by comparison (and there is a reason why those kinds of projects, like GoT and post-LoTR Middle Earth stories, for example, stall and don't often become complete). Also, some of the stories borrow too heavily from other stories.
My ideas, so far, for how to share this universe are:
- An encyclopedia that I will continually add to, possibly built around a timeline of events, that will explain the background of the characters, hierarchy of dragons, worlds, technologies, etc.
- Short stories or flash fiction that show snippets in the lives of characters in this world, like Mirabilis, in a sort of anthology.

Non-weight gain furry story, what do you want to see?
General | Posted 4 years agoI'm thinking of moving away from fetish content and into a more general furry theme for my next story or novella. This is for a few reasons, partly due to what I said in my last journal, and partly to pursue something new and interesting. I have only just started the process of brainstorming, so I only have one or two ideas, but it will probably be a story involving dragons.
With this in mind, what would you like to see from me? I was considering writing a story either about a character's first interaction with dragons, or perhaps a story about how they become a dragon. Maybe both!

Feeling demotivated with my writing

As some of you know, I've been working on a novel for the better part of human existence, and my writing pace has been excruciatingly slow. And then there is my writing on here, motivation for which comes in fits and starts. A lot of the issues have been around free time and energy, but my motivation to write waxes and wanes, and right now I'm feeling completely demotivated.
I'm happy that feedback for The Dragon and His Reckoning has been decent, but if I am to be honest I have not even started to write the second chapter yet and I can't see myself doing so until after my exam in two weeks.
Why does my motivation wane? Well, I often feel like there is not much I can do with my novel after finishing it as my writing is at best 'okay', and not really good enough to make it worth selling, so writing it has been a personal project that will not really lead anywhere. As for stories on FA, I think that the sheer length of time on here has allowed me to build up a decent follower base for a writer. However, even my most popular stories get a small handful of favourites against thousands of views (especially compared with the art I post), which makes me think that people are either not enjoying them all that much (on average), or they are viewing but not reading the stories.
I get that what I write about is pretty niche and that it is posted on a website primarily aimed at art, but the sheer amount of time required to produce these stories is significant compared with the 'payoff', so to speak, which just kills my motivation.
To people who do read them and enjoy them, thank you, I know that you exist, but I still struggle to write all the same.

Fatigue = gonne
General | Posted 4 years agoSo long fatigue, you won't be missed! I have no idea whether it is the various vitamins I have been taking, or perhaps it is the fact that the days are getting lighter and the weather has been good, allowing me to get some sun and outdoor time... Either way, the fatigue has been gone for a good 3-4 weeks now, and I'm grateful :)
What about writing? I am back up to date with my university work, so I'll try to get some done over the weekend. I have actually made pretty good progress with the sequel to The Dragon and the Steed, and I'm at least halfway through the first chapter, so hopefully, it won't take too much longer.
I probably won't commission much art over the next month as I have spent a LOT of money this month, and I need to get my bank balance back up to something reasonable, but I still have part 2 of the latest one, plus brushie art of my dragon from another artist :D

Problematic Dragon and Steed Passage: edited, moving forw...
General | Posted 4 years agoI just removed an instance of sexual assault by a character in The Dragon and the Steed and edited that chapter. I wrote the story nearly a decade ago, and a lot has come to light to me since then that makes me uncomfortable to be associated with that in any of my stories.
It was written with the intention of making the reader dislike the character, Katal, and to kind of foreshadow his abusive relationship with the horse, Fray. However, whilst that relationship takes centre stage and it is (clumsily) dealt with as part of the plot, this particular passage was a side-thought and there is zero critique of it, and no consequences shown for either character involved. This is foremost meant to be a fetish story that is fun to read. It is NOT a true drama, or any kind of literary work in which, in my view, that particular assault has any place.
I'm still going ahead with the sequel chapter, and Katal is going to get some retribution for his actions. Hopefully it will be fun to read whilst giving a satisfying conclusion to the story :)

Fatigue
General | Posted 4 years agoI am having issues with abnormal fatigue, which has been getting worse over a period of months. Hopefully, my GP will get to the bottom of it soon.
All of my energy and focus is going on getting through my university work at the moment, so I probably won't be able to post much writing until things improve.

In light of this milestone, I think I am going to write an additional chapter or epilogue which will follow on from the main story.

Finally caught up with university work

General | Posted 5 years agoI do enjoy seeing a bit of drama on server, but I have a zero tolerance policy for my own involvement, and it's the only way I've stayed in the fandom for 15 years with basically zero drama.
I just left the server of a popular artist for this reason. I shared some artwork, it didn't fit with a weird rule they had, I explained why I disagreed with the rule, but nope, immediately ganged up by two other admins, another furry, plus people hammering the like buttons. I did check with others to see if it was just me, but nope, they interpreted them as rude too.
I had a look for keywords out of curiosity, and sure enough the server had a long history of people warring with each and the admins. At what point do people who are involved in drama all of the time stop and think, maybe the way I speak to people is the problem?
There are some pretty unpleasant, authoritarian furries out there who just seem to attract this sort of thing. It's a shame that the artist herself seems really pleasant.
But, whatever, it's been a long week and I needed to blow off steam. This can just go down as one of rather rare rants :P

General | Posted 5 years agoDoes anyone want to see non-fetish or non-furry writing from me? I've worked on a few short stories over the years, as well as a larger novel. The short stories are completely non-furry whilst the novel a scifi/fantasy affair centred around human POV characters, but with dragons and varying aliens thrown into the mix.

General | Posted 5 years agoBrevis was kind enough to aid in the new design for Mirabilis in a new commission. The origin of Mirabilis is explained in the submission, but this new version is basically a power-up of normal Mirabilis, and is not a replacement :)

Final chapter of Korongo: The Beginnings + future stories

The final chapter of Korongo: The Beginnings is up. I'll post a link below in case anyone has missed it. Writing the epilogue in particular was emotional. I often struggle with moving on from one thing to another, and especially saying goodbye to people, so writing Kali's goodbyes to her friends and her old life was a tough one for me. The entire story and how it deals with death was also very personal to me, so the entire story was harder for me to write than anything I've written for here before.
So, what's next? Well, I plan to write part 2 of the Captain's Cabin next. This will be quite short and VERY NSFW, and shouldn't take too long to finish. Beyond this, I don't have any serious plans for more stories in that world, but who knows what the future will bring.
After this, I plan to write a one-off story set in the world of Temeraire, since people want to see more dragons from me.
Beyond these short stories, I have no plans and no idea what to write. I have some ideas for further Korongo stories, though I'm in the mood for something new. I may even write my own dragon, Mirabilis, into some stories. However, I have an entire world in my head that he inhabits, so stories in this world may be difficult for me to write without relying on some serious exposition within the text. However, we'll see.
I'd like to try writing some vore, inflation, transformation, and other topical stories that I'm not used to writing too.

I've had a rough few years over the last decade and I have lost touch with a lot of people that I used to talk to through Skype and whatnot. Over the last six months or so I have been trying to reach out to people who I haven't spoken to in a while, sometimes in over a decade. I've had some good fortune and it's great to speak to people again :)
Depression has kind of dominated the last decade or so for me, and I gradually lost contact with people who I had a great time talking to. Over the last few years, things have really been picking up. I'm still not quite my old self, but I'm getting there.
