If I really were huge...
Posted 13 years ago...you'd all be in a lot of trouble.
FWA
Posted 13 years agoFWA was a lot of fun. I skipped today. Mostly because walking around all day was a bit much without the cane, and I really didn't want to have a cane with me at the con. :P
Was a ton of fun. Got to see lots of old friends and even meet a few new ones! I didn't get to spend as much time with a few folks as I would have liked to, but that's just cons for ya.
That's about it.

AIM
Posted 13 years agoSometimes I wish people would just use the name they go by as an AIM handle. I've got so many people on my list that I don't talk to cause I can't remember who they are, and I don't wanna ask cause then I'd feel like an ass. :P
Buh
Posted 13 years agoI've not been able to get back into any sort of normal sleeping schedule. My knee is mostly unexploded but still gives me issues at night. More like a series of naps with boredom between. Just like snacking, but with sleep.
Discs
Posted 13 years agoI'm going disc golfing with a monk. Seriously.
No Subject
Posted 14 years agoMy PC has been borked. As soon as it gets unborked I have some mostly finished stuff to upload.
Hey DJs
Posted 14 years agoIt's been a long time since I've hauled out a ton of records or so and mixed, which is really sad, but I still really enjoy listening to live mixes and DJs do their thing. It's like a former addict that enjoys watching other people do drugs. S'weird. But I digest...
Here's a tip. Shut. Up. Seriously. I'm not saying it to be mean, but DJs that are in love with their own voice are terrible and totally ruin sets for me. Yeah, go ahead and tell us who you are when you start, and maybe once or twice more during the mix, but I honestly don't need to hear your name constantly. I also don't care about how 'in the mix' you are, how exclusive this track is, or any of that garbage. Nothing is worse than sitting and really enjoying a song that's one when DJ Twatface comes on "This is DJ Twatface in the mix, comin' at you with this exclusive remixed VIP cut by Remixonesongamilliontimes on Internet Dumpster Radio, where DJ Twatface hits you with all the exclusive tracks, slammin' it down in the mix here on the Dumpster! LETS GET HOT WITH THIS MIX!" Seriously...shut up. If you're not playing on a specific station that you need to ID, then don't invent your own internet radio station name just so you can say it while I'm trying to listen.

Big Pawprints
Posted 14 years agoSo now I have about a bazillion ideas for more of those little scenes. I'm going to be working harder on sculpting actual figures, so you won't be seeing those results until I'm happy with them. Until then, I've always enjoyed building terrain, and throwing the macro twist on it makes it that much more fun to build. Any other ideas or suggestions are welcome.
Everything outside is steaming
Posted 14 years agoSo it's going to feel so awesome later when I go out there. :P
I was sitting around talking to Puc about how I wish we could get a good steady rain. No lightning or thunder or anything crazy, just some rain to cool things off and not be so killer with the humidity. Right when I get done saying this is proceeds to piss rain for a few minutes, just enough to start steaming shit up, and then it quits. Suddenly...thunder. Yeah yeah, I get it, I can't have what I want. :P

Macro Music
Posted 14 years agoWhat do you think would make a good macro song? What songs strike you as being 'macro'? Anything that's a favorite to go rampage to? Is there anything in particular about music that sounds 'big' to you?
Still awake
Posted 14 years agoRemember when I said I wanted a place for insomniacs to gather that wasn't Waffle House? I forgot all about the internet.
Aside from surfing wikipedia, and youtube and lal of the usual stuff, I've found that some of the best conversations I have with people are reeeaaalllyyy early in the morning. I wonder if it's because the rest of the world has slowed down enough to let us think a little clearer. Who knows.

Video Games
Posted 14 years agoI've been on a game kick lately. Been playing lots of Terraria, Company of Heroes, Dawn of War 2, Battlefield Vietnam, GTA, and some other stuff online. I've never been much of a gamer, but lately I've been really enjoying it. Anyone wanna play some games with me over the online? Or have any other suggestions? (p.s. I don't play MMOs)
Gay people kill families
Posted 14 years agoIt's true. Millions of my potential children have died on other dude's faces.
Insomnia
Posted 14 years agoI've got it in the worst way. I'm a good neighbor, so I'm not going to be loud or anything, but does it have to be -this- quiet? I wish there was a place for us insomniacs to gather around here that isn't the Waffle House.
Internet stuff
Posted 14 years agoI do that google plus thing now. How do you google plus? Is there a technique to this or do I just push buttons?
My God...
Posted 14 years ago...the sun just won't leave me alone. Done being huge until summer is over. Will be tiny and hiding under my couch until then.
Music
Posted 14 years agoWhatever happened to hoodies and camo shorts? The flexfit caps, and dirty old sneakers? The "haven't seen you since last weekend" greetings and the parties that raged so hard it seemed like dawn was too scared to show it's face? Oh yeah...we all got old. Fuck.

Hockey rant
Posted 14 years agoIf you follow the NHL, you know that the Atlanta Thrashers are about to be sold and relocated to Winnipeg. There's a lot of crap being shot from both sides about it, but as a die hard Thrashers fan, a season ticket holder, and rapid hockey fan in general, here's what I think about it.
It makes you wonder if ASG is desperate to get the Thrashers out of town because they’re afraid if someone buys them and manages them properly that they’ll succeed. Everyone wants to shift the blame to the fan base and Atlanta not being a ‘hockey town’ when they should be focused on the failure of the ownership to do what was necessary to win. There’s plenty of hockey here, from the Gladiators (top 5 in attendance in the ECHL), to the youth programs, adult leagues, and college hockey. ASG made no money with the Thrashers because hockey fans were not willing to put money into the pockets of incompetent ownership, and I don’t blame them. You don’t go to the store and pick the product off the shelf that doesn’t work. We want to stand by our team, we want to be proud of Blueland, and we want to cheer harder than any other fans in the league, but how can we if ASG obviously didn’t want us to. Now the fans in Atlanta are left crushed with the entire hockey world’s snotty fingers pointed at them. About how we were never good enough, and we never ‘deserved’ hockey. It’s the other way around. The hockey here didn’t deserve us.

You know what's weird?
Posted 14 years agoI feel like I'm the opposite of most furries. I'm shy online and not shy at all in person.
MEME
Posted 14 years agoI haven't done any kind of meme like internet thing in quite some time. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I honestly can't decide, though I'm leaning toward 'good thing'.
Also considering throwing together a Stanley Cup / House Warming party for after the move in a couple weeks. It'll give us time to get settled in and give me two reasons to have people over to watch hockey with me. Do you think it would be fair to ask people to bring beer with them as long as I provide most of the food?

Hockey Night in Atlanta
Posted 14 years agoToday the Thrashers will wrap up their season at Philips Arena in downtown Atlanta against the Penguins. Hoping the boys can pull off one more win for us and go out on a good note. Season tickets were definitely worth it, but I don't think I'll be renewing because of the financial situation, so expect a lot of TV hockey parties next season. I make THE BEST nachos you've ever seen or tasted...ever.
FWA and such
Posted 14 years agoI'm sorry if I didn't see you or you didn't see me at FWA. I wasn't there very long, just a few hours on saturday night and a few on sunday. I've also got these huge friendly mutton chops going on so you may not have recognized me. Had a good time for what little I spent there. Mainly went to say hello to and give hugs to a few folks here and there.
gideon and
dragonfireny both stayed the week after the con to hang out. Had a pretty damn good time, went out to a lot of local places to eat and drink. Brought Gideon to one of the Thrashers games over the weekend, and Dragonfire was able to come to both...it's too bad we were only able to win one of those games. Had a great time seeing the folks I don't get to see too often anymore.
Oh, and going to FWA made me realize how old I'm getting. :P

Podcasting
Posted 14 years agoI miss doing it. Considering small projects.
Bands
Posted 15 years agoI've been offered a spot in a couple bands lately, but nothing I've been real interested in. I need a metal group to come along and ask me already.
