Hi guys!

I been trying to stream more often, but I'm also (badly) balancing art with working on a novel. Out of curiosity, are there days/times that are better (or worse) for those of you who want to see my streams? I'm in EST but my schedule is wonky due to a 4am job and lack of ever sleeping like a normal person. Anyways, I can't bend the laws of timespace but if more people who want to see a stream are around, say, Tuesday evenings I can try to make that a stream day and then do novel stuff on a day people aren't around.

I just know I don't stream as often as I'd like and I've had a couple sad messages about missing them, I would rather include people if I can <3

Also I tend to stream doodles and/or whatever I'm currently working on, but if anyone has suggestions for what they'd like to see me do in a stream you can pop those in here. I know there are things I love watching other artists do, especially when I'm trying to learn how to do the thing, so I can make a point of working on, say, sketches or backgrounds if it's something people would rather see more of.

I've also considered adding timed commissions for streams instead of just offering discounts, I don't know if that would be something people might be interested in? It'd be a flat price per hour and I'd use my special workwork timer to make sure chat/music/coffee didn't cut into it. Could do small sketches in ten minutes, or bigger things in several hours, but I'd enjoy feedback on how my watchers in particular feel about such things. What sort of com stuff do you like in streams? Right now I just offer chibis and busts at a percentage off.

And that's all folks, just toss me some opinions if you can spare a few minutes.

Haven't been so active lately. I been trying but all the stuff I produce is something I hate, if I even finish the sketch. Maybe I'll find something postable soon. I tried to post the one I worked on for pretty much the whole day but honestly I hate it so freaking much that I took it down, sorry about the pings. Just not having anything come out right lately. Hopefully I'll get some sort of content going soon, I don't mean to keep having dry spells on my page like this.

Suggestions are welcome if there's something you really wanna see, can't promise to work on it (or post anything if I do) but heck, why not try anyways.

What it says on the tin. After my ferret was diagnosed with cancer, and died shortly after, my parents got me a pair of sugar gliders. They're tiny, but they don't usually get cancer or anything like that. It's been almost two years and now I've lost both my babies, though the first didn't live a full month after she arrived. I don't know what happened, a friend has a glider from the same breeder thats over seven years, their life expectancy is 12-15 and we use the same food and everything but my baby just... I don't know.

Car is dead, house has an electric issue that has us powerless in several rooms, and now my Thistle is dead. I'm sorry, I'm just not going to be working on things or taking commissions for a while after this shitty weekend.

Some of you already know I had a problem with my Patreon launch (as in, someone pirated everything less than a day after). BUT despite a pretty bad episode, I am going to continue to create things. And for those who want to (and are able) to support me (financially or otherwise) I am grateful for it. Most of my content is going to be on here, though it will occasionally be released a few days later.

So thank you all for your support. I appreciate every single comment I get, and it means a lot to me that people enjoy the content I create.

Hi everyone! I finally got my nerve together to launch my Patreon. I know it's late in the month to get started, but I postponed my original launch date as it coincided with a certain fees announcement. Still, I made a bunch of holiday-related content and I wanted it to be slightly on time!

I have a bit over 25k words in two short stories, along with four fully finished art pieces (and I have a small collection of my sketches for any Doodlebug patreons). Whether you create content or just consume it, please keep yourself informed on what's happening to Net Neutrality. I haven't seen much stuff about it on my social media lately, despite what just happened, and I'm really worried that somehow people have missed it. Maybe because the timing is in the middle of holidays? Anyway it's important. I'm sorry if it upsets anyone to have it brought up, I know I've pretty much had a breakdown any time I check the news for freaking anything, but it directly impacts anyone who does anything with the internet and if you somehow missed what was going on... it's kind of A Thing.

Welp. I know I'm a poor judge of pain because of stubbornness, but I apparently will need some therapy to start with. So my art stuff is going to be on hold for at least a few weeks and maybe more before I can keep doing my normal stuff. It makes a world of difference to see a doctor that takes you seriously over one who only seems to want to get you out of their office, but I'd rather things have not been a big deal.

So if I seem inactive, I'm not. I'm still around to look at arts and chat and whatnot. But I can't work on my art until I'm healed and that is looking to be a while unfortunately.

Was involved in a car accident, I am going to be okay eventually I but will be a lot slower while I'm healing. My friend was driving, he is also gonna be fine. The woman who hit us, and the passengers of the other car she hit, all walked away from the accident as well. Mostly I'm tired and sore and have to go get some x-rays done and see some doctors, but overall I am relieved because it seemed like it was gonna be a lot worse when we saw that car come over the yellow line at us.

On a positive note, I now have first-hand experience on how it feels to be in a serious car accident. I did not expect the ringing ears, or the air bag dust/smoke stuff. I thought the car was on fire for a sec and was confused because I know that's actually extremely uncommon, didn't realize airbags had so much poof stuff with them? Also I knew they weren't soft but ouch.

Back from my trip! I've been back a while actually, but my computer crashed. Falagra and her special someone helped me get my stuff off of it, and MikeyMoose helped me out with a replacement when it first started acting up. It just took a while to get my old things onto the new computer, especially since work is making up for my week off bigtime. I'm doing okay, just flattened with too many jobs again. More art to come soon I hope! I just gotta convince my art programs I already bought them orz and stop dumping boiling water on my hands at work

So some of you already know, but for something around a year now I've been making plans with Kiocah and MikeyMoose to go to a con together! I've been exhausted with working three jobs, dealing with a stressful home situation, and trying to keep up on commissions and a writing deadline, so I'm slightly worried I'm going to show up at Kio's and go to sleep. But I am leaving tonight for a hecking long drive and then FINALLY we will get to hang out in person <3 Thank you again to my commissioners who have been so patient with my new work schedule and have continued to help support me in saving up to make this trip possible. I'm looking forward to finally seeing my first friends in the fandom, and going to my first furry convention. Time for all the coffee and a long long long car ride!

Wishing the best sort of day to all my followers! I truly appreciate your support and I want you all to know that you're loved, especially since today is a day that some people forget that and feel lonely. You're all great and should give yourselves a big old hug because I am too far away to give you one in person.

So I just got the last confirmation that I have been hired for a new job, it'll start in January! While I am very excited, I am also aware that just one minimum wage job will not actually be enough for me to live on in my state. I will be continuing to look for an additional, part time job in order to actually make ends meet so I can start paying off debt and, eventually, start saving to perhaps retire someday.

Right now, my art commissions will remain open. If I can support myself with one job and my art I will, but, given how things have gone, I don't feel this is realistic. Once I have two jobs, I will probably close my general commissions and instead take spots occasionally by journal openings. So consider this a small heads up that they will be less available when I have less time.

I'll make an announcement before I close them, I just don't have a proper schedule idea for how I'd do a second job with commissions and still work on my novels and comics. I hate to waste my time sleeping but I apparently I gotta, and there just isn't anywhere else left for me to cut time out of.

So my second novella is available now on Dreamspinner Press! It's a mostly cute, holiday themed gay romance story about a young accountant who just became the guy in charge of maintaining some very important, ancient magical contracts. "When Micheal’s attempts to find the Winter Court on the week of the solstice leave him with nothing but a bad cold, he fears he’ll be the first Riftkeeper to break the ancient contracts. He’s too stressed to handle Ryan’s attempts to get him into the holiday spirit, but Ryan might know more about the magic of the season than Micheal realizes."

I'm really excited about it, it's one of the 31 stories in the December story-a-day Bah Humbug collection. Having a second book makes me feel less like the first one was a fluke.

It was really weird writing a Christmas story in April though, but let me tell you editing takes so much time wow.

So it's October which is like my favorite season. And my last journal was outdated since I am safely home, finally. Unfortunately my car is not working but at least it's not so cold that it's a misery to be out trying to fix it. Hopefully it'll get going again soon, otherwise I'll have a lot of time on my hands out in the middle of nowhere XD;

Still trying to get home. Delta is the absolute worst. I was supposed to be home as of two hours ago and at the moment it looks like I'm still around 25 hours away. Yep. Not exaggerating. I finally made my trip to visit my friend who is studying abroad in South Korea! I'm very excited, and I am still planning to work while I'm here so commissions are still open. So I hit 50 watchers recently! I meant to do a thing but it happened around the site being down :c But since that's all sorted, I want to do a thing!

And that thing is a raffle for a free art! The only requirements are that you be watching me and that you post in this journal with a character reference and theme if you want one. The winner will get a wing-it sketch of that character, I'll use a number generator to roll.

Oh man I was scared for a while there. My email wasn't being accepted so I couldn't get a reset sent to me. Luckily FA staff finally slogged through all the messages they've gotten, verified my identity, and sent me a reset password. I sent the message on the 23rd so for everyone who is still waiting they are working on it there's probably still a large volume. I only sent them ONE email, so you really do only need to send one.

I've got a pile of stuff to sort through, but for now I'm just so relieved to have my account working again.

So hey, it's almost like I'm starting to post stuff on here more than once a month. Who'dve thought right? Anywho, if any of my watchers had a particular reason that they watched me, feel free to let me know what you're prefer to see more of. Art? Writing? Absolute nonsense? A particular character?

I will, of course, keep working on all my planned projects. And if there're any particular requests for more of something, I can probably scoot those into the list of stuffs.

I don't think I actually mentioned this, but almost a month ago my parents decided I might like sugar bears for Christmas. They were surprised to learn I'd researched the little guys around the same time I'd been getting my ferrets and couldn't find a good place to get them (I don't like to buy pets on the internet). Well a breeder was in our area and we spoke to them about it. Thursday the babies were old enough to take home! And so I did! I got one boy and one girl, and they are very cute little things. I know it takes a long time to bond them, but I'm so excited to finally have them throwing food all over my floor. I don't think I've ever had a pet that didn't throw food (except the dog, she's too dedicated to eating it to waste any) so they're fitting right in!

This is always a busy time of year, in addition to the usual holidays I have a few birthdays and an anniversary in the mix. But it's also fun to see everyone and to spend time with family and surprise loved ones with tiny nicenesses like cookies or an unexpected favor! It's also the time of year that I try really really hard to send out my Christmas cards. Last year they went out in Februrary when I found the box of all the cards I'd filled out, addressed, stamped, and never put in the mailbox. Whoops.

I actually have a few extra cards this year, so I'd love to send them to some of the people I talk to on here. If anyone would like a card please note me or comment, I only have a few left so I can't send them to everyone. If I have one when you ask, I'll let you know! But I'll need an address before I can send it off, so if you're understandably not comfortable with that just know I can't actually mail you a card.

Hope everyone is having a good day. Not everything about this time of year is cheerful, but maybe at least a little something nice will happen for everyone.

My ferret is as okay as possible given what they were testing for. She now also costs half a used car though, so... no more commissions for me :c But she's got medicine and her buddy again so that's awesome! She's also going to be absorbing a lot of time, I need to watch her in case of seizures, but without running back and forth between the vet and my gran I should have more time to work on getting active again.

SO MANY things I'm working on. So many. I'm really excited every bit closer I come to being able to share these ideas I've had rolling around between my ears.
