Manhattan has always been a hotspot for spiritual activity, and for this reason the Ghostbusters were founded and worked their way into a respected group of authorities for spiritual activity. However, the constant surge of ghost cases has become an efflux while an influx of non-ghostly, physical supernatural monsters, animals, and beings have been rising for the first time since the ROUS Infestations of 1958.
With nobody else in the area having any knowledge on handling these situations, the Ghostbusters are forced to hire an intern to help them stay afloat as they are forced to play animal control and try and figure out why the few ghosts appearing are so distressed and why the beasties are so dead set on storming into the spotlight."

I finished the draft for Bestiary ahead of schedule, not my proofreader and beta reader have even more time to get back to me with notes on what needs to be fixed! I'm ahead of schedule and I wanna celebrate

Yeah so my life is in a downward spiral but I am taking better care of myself thanks to Habitica's help and so I've started work on a fanfiction idea I've been wanting to work on. I've got a fair portion done on the first arc, and I'm thinking it'll be good to get a beta reader/proofreader on board since it seems the prologue chapter is about a few yards from being wrapped up.

It's a [probably] multi-arc story centered in an offshoot of the Real Ghostbusters cartoon series universe, and the entire shebang is tentatively titled "Bestiary".

The synopsis is essentially that ghost cases are becoming less and less frequent, and while not an all time low, it's concerning nonetheless as the few sentient ghosts and even most of the nonsentient ones that are oot and aboot seem fairly distressed, at least more than the average ghost is. At the same time of this, seemingly correlated to the ghost incidents, paranormal animals and beasts [not necessarily MONSTERS per say but certainly not ectoplasmic paranormal entities] are on an rise for the first time since the ROUS Infestations of 1958, and of course since nobody else has expertise in paranormal activity, the duty falls on the Ghostbusters to play zookeeper.

It's split up into arcs centered around a specific paranormal creature [like unicorn, al'mi'raj, ROUS, church grim, gullinbursti etc] per arc, and each arc is likely to be multiple chapters. The chapters WILL take a long while to be completed for proofreading so if you prefer frequent updates as a beta reader, I am not the author for you, sorry ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

sorry there hasnt been much from me lately. my depression is flaring up and someone who owes me money still hasn't given it to me and its just not worth hassling him over it anymore because he doesn't take me seriously. im down fifteen dollars for already completed work and i just.

i just cant handle it. i had to take a break from my commissions to try and level out, which means im down even more money for the time being and i just know halloween's gonna be fucked up, and it's not even september. im still on eggshells about my roommate strangling me, and he's never apologized for it, and im just so stressed.

food and money have been short too and it just feels like everything is unraveling and i cant take it

and everyone in the house is making me feel like im crazy and overreacting about it but they dont get what happened, they dont understand that it wasn't the kinda shit me and logan normally do, that is almost blacked out and he almost crushed my windpipe
but i dont see any point in trying to explain. i feel dumb, crazy, stupid, and naive.

In recent news, my cat's lost weight! He used to be rather overweight, but thanks to him deigning to work with me on dieting him, he's gone from like, 14-15 pounds to 11 pounds! He's moving around a lot more now that the summer heat is making him more riled up and active, and he's taken to chilling in the bathroom with me when I shower since I keep a cold glass of water on the counter because I drink when I'm showering [the bastard drinks from it when im not looking] :/

We ate recently but we don't have any money in the house, so the result is we have no food to eat for the next few days, but I've sufficiently energized to the point where I can do ass-cheap "please for the love of god we're starving" lined+colored PWYW chibi art.

We really need money for food so any amount will do, but the base price is $5. More would be appreciated, and we kind of need the food now or soonish, but at the end of the day I can and want to at least compensate. So yeah...

I just found a BUTTLOAD of old character designs of mine/characters i own from way back when on CS. After checking it out and making sure I didn't forget about giving or selling any of them away, I narrowed it down to a solid handful I'm wanting to get rid of.

Would anyone be interested if I decided to sell them? They'd probably range from around $2-$8 max, I'm not asking for a lot for them since they're so old.

I'll probably draw new references for the older ones, though, so maybe $5-$15 for em.

Recently I've been failing to be able to draw for myself. Every time i do, it never turns out good or right. If I'm getting paid, or occasionally, asked, to do art, it comes out great or acceptable. I hate it, it's bullshit!

It's stressful as hell and puts me off drawing unless a request or commission or trade comes in, which sucks because i dont wanna fall outta practice or anything. 'Kota says it's probably just burnout, but its still stressing me out. I'm not gonna take a break or anything, it's not my style. Maybe I'll open up for trades? That should help pull me out of it.

I've finally updated my commission information and added a few things to my gallery, so here's hoping I'll be more active here, especially since I'm working on some character designs behind the curtain. Most of them will probably never see the light of day, but oh well.
