I deeply apologise for my lack of activity as of late, these past two months haven't been too gentle and kind.
My life as been hectic and busy, with my housemate getting into a car accident, other drama and a lot of paperwork. However most of it has been due to anxiety and depression rearing its ugly mug, that face that no mother could love killed my ability to work. However have pushed it back enough to roll out of bed on time, getting back into routines and thus working again.

Zoey Hoshi Studio's Update

I now do all my work and commissions under AUD and this will not change. I originally chose to work with USD because artists I looked up to used the currency, however this was because majority of them were American. As I've been meeting other small business owners and talking to my mentors, I realised that I should be working under AUD. So made the change, prices have been fixed accordingly and I will not change my currency again. (Unless I was to move out of country but I highly doubt that will happen.)

Sugar Star Update

If you follow it, you've probably noticed that I've stopped updating and this isn't just due to life getting in the way. Originally Sugar Star was going to be a silly comic with my characters, no plot or anything, just stupid and meaningless that I would update whenever I felt like it. I am always open for commissions, never fret about slots and such, I'm always ready for work.

That is until I contracted One-Piece-Oda-syndrome. Suddenly I have a full notebook that is solely dedicated to timeline, plot points and deep character profiles for Sugar Star. I will be deleting the current comic to start anew from the beginning with characters, plot points and such properly explained. Even with a main plot, it will be still full of stupidity and Zoey Hoshi and Maike Lusine will still be main characters, only with Zyoro, Vesper and Marcus joining to make the central characters. This won't happen until I have everything edited and finalised.

It's October! Time to celebrate the season (despite it being a rainy/hot spring over here in down under) with a special on commissions!

Official announcement is here with the details. If you order a commission in October, even if the commission will be finished the start of November, you'll still have the special and the lower base price for the commission types that are part of the special.

So currently I'm busy with paperwork and interviews to get into the NEIS scheme. Essentially I'll be getting intense training for 6 weeks into setting up and managing my own business/self-employment, followed up by 12 months of mentoring and support. So if this all goes through, commissions and making shirts/charms/whatever will be my full-time job. Hooray!

Downside to this is that now that I'm being reviewed and registered into the NEIS scheme, I'm actually not allowed to start working until AFTER those 6 weeks (Which start 2 week of April.)

So despite being ready to start commissions, I can't. I am really sorry about this. Not to mention when training starts I'll be out of the house from 8am-5pm for 4 days a week, so expect not to hear much from me. Otherwise, I'll be drawing like normal.

First off, again, I am very sorry for lack of posts.

Stress has been building up and up on me for a while and finally beginning of last week it all exploded and I'm still recovering from it all. My father was admitted into hospital, again, and so he suffered major mood swings as he refused to give up smoking, demanded cigarettes, was taken on and off medications. Lots of traveling to and from the hospital and my place. Then I had a few days of looking after my grandmother when she got mysterious chest pains, spending a whole day sitting in the emergency ward with her. Drama with friends and family all but drained me. (I did get one thing done and you'll see that amazing thing soon.)

I think I'm all over it, pity because Monster Hunter is out this weekend so I'll be GONE for a whole week as I break my hands farming Rathian and hunting all sorts of things with my friends. So excited!!

However, after that, I'll be back and I might even be opening up commissions then! Wheeeee!
