Hey everyone!

Firstly, I want to thank all of you for your words, support, criticism, thoughts, and love you have given me throughout the year! It has been a crazy roller coaster between me learning to be a mother, having gall bladder surgery (in which I rediscovered my love of drawing), going back to work at a bad daycare and back to my old Pre-K school to teach, Grey hurting his knee and all the drama associated with that, and so much more.

Right now... I am very thankful for my family for being there for me, for having a very healthy and happy baby girl, for my job and all that they have done for me to help my family out in this time in our lives, and to my friends. Neo, Mihari, Wryter, Slaughts, Phil, Danny, Nekonny, Omega, and so many more that my mind is going blank (in which I really do apologize, been a very hectic day) all I want to say is thank you. You all mean so much to me in your support, kindness, criticism and so much more. I love each and every last one of you!

Hey all! I'm still doing $5 badges (and badge sized). They are full color and hand drawn. The reason why I am doing this is because right now that despite my paycheck is barely making this get by, the colder weather is coming in and finance wise Grey and I needs money to help offset the bills. Also, because my Micron pens died/broke and buying new ones (among colored pencils) are a luxury compared to Grey being out of work because of knee surgery for the past month plus more while he recovers, a friend suggested I get a tablet and start doing things digitally. So someone pointed out someone who is selling her old tablet though if an artist has one laying around and is willing to donate (I will happily pay for shipping) theirs, I'm all ears! They are offering to sell me theirs for $100 plus shipping so trying to raise money for that.

The next episode of Day of Zoey is nearly complete and will get on it when I am home from work tonight. This time, the shoe is on the other foot.

The proceeds are going to help me get a tablet due to me not having any type of funds to continually get pens, colored pencils, etc because of med costs with hubby's knee surgery, my past gall bladder surgery, and the costs of taking care of a one year old baby!

Trying to get this done before the holidays hit

Hey all, with the way my luck has been financially between Zoey and now my hubby out of work due to knee surgery. I'm curious if anyone out there has a tablet (Wacom or otherwise) out there they are not using. My friend Ron Rodrigues of  freelancemanga mentioned I should go that way and try to learn how to use SAI.

Any help in this would be appreciated. Otherwise I am going to try to look into buying myself a new set of Micron pens.

Well, doing this week's Day of Zoey, both my .20 and .05 mm micron pens died and in my rush it made the page look really crappy and below my own level of acceptance. looks like I'm gonna have to redo the image whenever I have time or ask a friend to help out.

Hey all. I firstly want to apologize about any delays.

Firstly, my husband's knee went out totally on him (bucket handle tear in his left meniscus that flipped over) and he can't stay on his feet. That means I got to watch after Zoey practically by myself (trust me, my hubby does as much as he can to help me out... even though is pisses me off that he won't listen to the doctor and stay off his leg).

Secondly, cause of his knee, I have even more pressure to bring money in from my job because he can't work. He mainly works as a shift manager where he works at. They're working with him with trying to bring him back but no money is coming in. Definitely got bills coming up so gonna try to get any extra work at my job that I can.

Third, Zoey can wear a girl out. She is now learning to walk without assistance (so far she can make it 6-7 steps max). Hell, she even tries to run from me (and faceplants with a cute laugh) cause she gets into stuff and knows she isn't supposed to have it. She keeps me on my toes!

Anyways, on this upcoming Thursday I'll be offline as I'll be taking my hubby to WakeMed for his knee surgery so if you're of the praying sort, please do so. I just got back from a lil trip to Virginia with my hubby for our anniversary and I got smacked with more faves and watches than I ever remember! I just wanna say thank you to all of you.

I will be working on the inking and coloring of the next DoZ after I get some rest and probably after getting the baby fed n sleeping.

All I can say i that I am still surprise Grey downloaded these off of youtube! Just think of some of your favorite groups like Metallica, AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith and their songs turned into lullabyes.

All I can say is they amazingly do work for my lil girl n my momma doesn't know the difference if she stops by!

My hubby just got a raise at work. though its only 50 cents an hour raise but that means around 40 bucks more a week..... glad good things are happening lately. Still trying to get some extra money under the table I don't have to report via commissions to help with some other surprises that come along the way and my dream of having a table at Otakon next year. Still need advice about that.

Well, one of my friends offered to help me with a room for Otakon next year as well as to visit Anime USA this year. Right now I'm officially going to set my goal to have a table at Otakon as well as to get MUCH better in my ability so I can at least offer something there :D

To any artists that have worked it, what do you say is a good goal to have earned by then to have a table at Otakon??? Thoughts??? Will a one n a half year old be too dangerous in the Artist Alley by then??? Should I force my hubby to work it (yes, he is an artist too but he sure as hell don't wanna post his stuff.... the knotty bum!) while I attend every single panel I can get my lil paws on?

Well, I am still recovering from my surgery. For those in the know (and those who need to know), I had laparoscopic surgery to remove my gall bladder. From the doctor's muzzle, she said it was severely scarred and inflammed as well as the tissue around it. The surgery was about an hour and a half on Monday and I pretty much slept the rest of the day, Tuesday and today I spent basically resting and sleeping.. barely been able to sketch without my stomach hurting. I really love my hubby.. he's been taking care of me n Zoey throughout all of this without complaint.

All I can say is thank you to everyone that helped me out. I earned only $50 but it really did help in getting some well needed things paid. Although I had to dip into my retirement account at a heavy penalty... that last bit of help from  wrytergirl woula put me into another bracket and higher penalty amount.... so thank you girl!

On Monday I'll be having surgery done on my gall bladder to remove it as well as quite a few gallstones that I've been suffering with for the past few years. So that'll be another week I'll be laid up but good news is that I got a new job! Technically its my old job at another pre-k I used to work at quite a while ago but they rehired me on the spot, got my old pay back too so that puts me to making more than my assisant manager of a hubby at Marco's Pizza (neener neener neeeeneeeeer).

So I'm gonna try to get some more drawings done and I just completed the 21st comic of my Day of Zoey series. If you don't know, it is highly based on the daily life of my little girl. If you raised a child of your own or helped with a baby brother or sister, you know of these moments that sometimes are pure gold.

I got one of my biggest bills put off so that is a bit over $300 I don't have to worry about. However, still have about $280 to go.

I am really thankful for some of the help I have already recieved! For that, all I can say is that I am very thankful. However, bills are starting to come and fast. I am trying even to do some babysitting and other things to help bring in money but so far waiting on one parent I know to give me details about this weekend. By the 23rd, $300 of the $600 will be due with the rest being due by the 27th. Time is going by too quickly and I dunno how I'll be able to do it.

Well, I saw a picture not long ago and the funny thing is I met someone very special at that con as well and wished her the best life with her mate... but I didn't read it and her mate was dead...

I feel like the biggest ass in the world right now and I cannot apologize enough to her. I am really sorry and I am a total idiot for not reading or paying attention... I really feel like a dumb bitch... forgiven or not... What I said wasn't right for fair.... I was so wrong and It hurts :(

Okay... Grey and I just went over our finances... we are going to be short $450 by the time many of our bills are due by the 15th of July.

ADVICE PLEASE!!!!! NEED A WAY TO EARN MONEY QUICK!!!!!!!!

Yes, I am pondering on actually doing digital art but a few things are bothering me...

1. Between hardware (like Cintiq) and software (like Photoshop), it costs a ton of money
2. That out of all the stuff out there, just wondering what would fit my style
3. Or just for the hell of it, if I should just be a strictly traditional drawing style
4. Out of all of these, money is still needed (hell, paper and Prismacolor pencils are not cheap, let alone erasers, mechanical pencils, etc) as well as the time to learn how to actually blend friggin colors, etc. I do not have a job or a way to get money in (sorry, no art whoring yet)

I am officially a member of the unemployed.

After last week's fiasco of my boss refusing to let me go to the daycare to pick up my sick Zoey who had hand, foot, and mouth disease (a childhood illness that lasts a few days) n forcing my hubby to drive an hour n a half to pick her up when I was 25 min away, yesterday my boss told me after I reported that I was going to the doctor about my gall bladder attacks on July 5th, she came to me and told me that she wanted it cancelled because it would "interfere" with her vacation time because she was already short staffed.

I just basically told her I'll pick up my check on Friday and that was that....

She was not running a pre-k/childcare up to legal levels (as well as having no license to have a seperate building for 1st grade+ which is required by law) and if they were caught, I would lose MY teaching license and certifications because I did not report it. I have an observation on Tuesday of next week where another school will see me in action and if they like me enough, I will have a new job.

I'm sorry I know I should have let her fire me but my license is too important to me and I know she wouldn't fire me because for those who do know... I have been the one she dumped on (ie, taking away my assistant and making me work with 16-18 3-5 year old kids when the legal limit set by the state is 8 kids to one teacher, telling me I "HAVE" to give them more honey buns if they want it, whenever they want, that no matter how hot it is, I can't bring the kids back into the classroom until SHE is ready for it because she only wants 2-3 kids in my classroom when she is in there, etc.)

Sorry for dumping on yuns.. but I needed a vent. Definitely need to figure out how to get some money in on the short term till I get a job.

When my hubby suggested that I try my best to move away from face n ear shots n go for other poses, I decided to jump on it. Granted... its not easy.

My hubby asked me to do him dressed as a member of the All Blacks (New Zealand) Rugby Club. His coworkers got him into rugby lately *facepalms*. I hope they don't convince him to join the NC State Rugby club.. between Zoey being sick and me needing surgery, I don't need him getting hurt....
