So, one of my favourite artists, and I had commented on one another's submissions, and I came Hhome last night to see a new shout on my page! To my surprise, he'd drawn a member of my Alien race, the Iklb. It's perfect. I'm so damn happy with it you all don't understand. If you guys aren't watching Marla, you're dumb. Go. Shoo. Go do it. Do it now.

Recently, I just realized that everyone has one or two types of music that speaks to them on a level deeper than just enjoying the sound. You can almost feel the music in a way that's hardly easy to explain. For me, it turns out it's Alternative rock, especially bands like Coheed and Cambria, as well as Jazz. It's like... the music is in my ribcage, almost. Not like.. in my heart, but near it, a weird expansion of emotions there. And now everyone thinks I'm high. Rofl, oh well.

I like writing stories and stuff, problem is I normally get distracted. I'm easily inspired, which I suppose would be a good thing if each separate inspiration would lend itself all to the same story I'm working on. But walking down the street working on a steampunk idea in my head and I see a boarded up house, suddenly I'm on an idea for a ghost story. Maybe I'll just try writing short stories for now, and see if I can eventually turn it around into something better.

I'm 24 today! whoo-hoo! I don't feel any older, I guess I just know I'm older, maybe? Meh! Either way, I'm older now.

I can't believe I'm almost 24. Sunday is my birthday, and holy crap I didn't even know it was October. It's weird, how fast this year has gone, hell, how fast the last decade has gone. Seems like a few years ago I was just starting highschool, now it's been five years since I graduated. How did this even happen?

So it turns out my grandmother is way more ill than we'd originally thought, and she's going to be selling her house, and it's sort of sad, because I love that house. It's full of more childhood memories than I can count. I spent every summer there for most of my childhood, as well as christmases, birthdays, and other events. That house, even though I don't live there, is just as much home to me as my own house.. knowing someone else is going to buy it and more than likely knock it down to use the land to build a micromansion like most of the other properties around her home saddens me greatly. But sadly, I can't afford to buy it out from under her.
