So, hi, I feel like I should write a journal
General | Posted 12 years agoI felt like writing one because of this unplanned "hiatus" I've been having. I've still been drawing, but it's just been mere doodles, sketches, studies or things that I don't think are really good enough to post on FA. :P So I'm not going through an art block really, but I haven't been drawing much, I've been kinda.. busy.
Especially with work and school, I have a part-time job but I've worked 10 days out of 14 these past two weeks, and when I get home I just relax a bit then pass out. :D
I just feel bad for the new watchers I've received during the time I've been inactive on the site. I still check here every week or so to see other artists' works and every time, I notice that I have a new watcher or two. Which is awesome, but like, what? How do they even find my art if I haven't done any since November? xD
But it's really exciting seeing these random new watchers and I want something to show for it. I've been wanting to do speedpaints since I was probably about, what, ten years old? And over the years I've kinda forgotten about it, but I think I have a strong enough computer that'll allow that type of thing ^^ So I hope to maybe do that in the future.
Anyways basically, sorry old and new watchers, I suck and never post anything here, but at least you're not watching me on my DA account.. Which I have totally forgotten about OTL except some arts soon, maybe, after my exams at least ! c:

Commissions for a Cause ~ Help a Book Get Published!
General | Posted 12 years agoSo, my boyfriend (who does not have an FA account), is trying to publish his book. Has has only 59 days now to reach his goal of $4,500. He would invest this money on cover art, a professional editor, etc. Right now, there is only $175 donated.
I figured that asking you guys to donate with no reward wouldn't give my boyfriend any donations from you, so I figured that I would now be doing commissions <3 They'll be open until my boyfriend gets all of the money he needs.
I guess it'll go a little like this:
Go to the "Commission Info" part of my userpage and see what interests you ~ I don't have a paypal account, but you would be paying/donating here, anyways, as I would be giving all of my commission money to the campaign anyway.
Another way of going about things is having you donate whatever amount you would like, and I would draw you something I think you'd deserve based off of how much you've donated. <3 There's perks, too, once you've donated over 25 dollars!

Shaky hands... is this common for other people?

I've been trying to draw, but I can't outline because my hands get too shaky and the lines get messed up. /: it's so frustrating because I really wanna draw but I can't!
Does anybody else go through the same thing?
I was thinking that maybe it's a vitamin deficiency kinda thing. D: but my dad and brother both get really shaky hands and random so maybe it's hereditary sjkhdsalhfldk

I'm opening commissions owo
I need spending money, and money to travel and see my family in Labrador. I need to save up $1000 actually. I have a job but I only work 5 hours a week on minimum wage...
Because I'm just starting out and my anthros are rusty, I'm opening four slots that are dirt cheap. And I really don't want people requesting ferals; my main focus point are anthros right now. xP

Cost (traditional or digital):
A pencil sketch of one character is $5 (simple sketch on MS Paint is equivalent)
To add an extra character is $3
To have it inked is an extra $3
Coloured is $3
Shaded is an extra $1
A background can be $2 to $5 dollars.. Depends on how simple or complex it is

derpyturtle ), I used to be active on Deviantart. I stopped drawing for a while and, stopped checking my DA journals, Submissions, etc. Which I don't care about anyway because I tried making new starts on DA by making new accounts, and it never worked out
So I made a Fur Affinity account to really start anew . :D
I've noticed that DA, in my opinion, has too many "fav for fav" or "Watch for watch" people than on Fur Affinity. So, I'm watching tons of people on my DA account that don't even inspire me because of the 'watch whores'. And the people that watched me, never commented or faved any of my art. Which isn't something that some one should do on every art piece they see, but all I wanted was feedback, and needless to say I seldom had any.
I don't think I've been on FA for even a month now and the people that have commented on my drawings (which haven't even been that many peopleyet) are a lot friendlier than the people on DA. xP
So uhm, hello, anyone watching me. I think I have a total of 4 or less watchers. :D I hope I'm a smarter person on FA than I was on DA, and I hope to post more of my recent art... Once I complete something recent, anyway. Maybe I'll do a raffle sometime if I get enough watchers. For practice and things like such. I need to broaden my horizons when it comes to my art, the only things I've drawn most of my life are tiny fuzzy creatures. lol <3
