My queue is getting pretty small so it's time to get ready for another batch of commissions for next month.

I have raised my prices a bit, and in the long term I intend to experiment with them over the rest of the year in an effort to find my ideal price point. I am also trying out a goal quota of different commission types to attempt to create a balanced amount of light and heavy workload commissions. to improve turnaround time.

Got a lot of work done and my queue is down to 6 pieces in progress, so I figure it's time to accept new work, especially since our water heater broke and let out a bunch of water the other day and the quote, water damage, and replacement will be costly. Hello all, still working hard to get work done before my trip in less than a week. Going to a friend's wedding in Texas and I want to make sure my workload is healthy for my return. I will be opening commissions in full as soon as i finish my queue, which at my current pace should be within a week. At the moment I only needed to take enough work to cover my expense. Hello everyone, a quick journal before bed. I need to take care of an expense and I do not want to take on any heavy work before I fully open up commission again. I am looking to do two 2 character colored sketch commissions, no backgrounds, for $70. Hello everyone! I’m creating this journal to update everyone on the status of my commission queue and announcing my new manager.

First, I’d like to announce that Mariah, the owner of Anthro Brand, is now helping me to organize and streamline my workflow as my new manager. I have always loved the privilege of making money through my art, but I have always struggled to learn the organization and planning skills that are required to be a successful artist. I caused a great deal stress and burnout to myself, and a great disservice to my customers to whom I owe a lot.

I would like to apologize to all my current and past clients for the unreasonably long turnaround times for your artwork. I promise that things are about to change and that everyone who I owe art to will receive it in reasonable time from the posting of this journal.

On my commission queue, My backlog of commission work is now reduced to the last 10 orders before it will be finally 100% complete for the first time in a long while. The last orders in queue are rednet1111, Secretdafoxo, Ramenwolf 1485, Werevixen, Frostpuppi, Mariah, Nightdancer, Wizube, and the last 2 of my recent YCH auctions.

Over the course of this weekend and into next week I will be working off the remainder of queue before I fully open for a new round of commissions. This time with Mariah’s assistance to keep me on track to make make more art. Thank you for your patience, I will be posting updates more regularly from now on.

So the last few days I've had what I thought was a really weak cold, that turned out to be Covid-19. After 2 years of steadfast precautions it finally got me. I managed to make it this far without contracting it but I think our family's 4th of July party is what finally got me. Luckilly I think I'm over the worst of it and on the recovery so things are looking better.

Also an update on commissions. I've been working on a lot of pieces in queue and I have WiPs and near complete pieces to show to the people who have been waiting, I just ask for a bit more patience while I get past this additional Covid road bump.

Lastly I am reopening my Patreon and opened a Subscribestar. It has been a while since I last closed my Patreon account. I made the big mistake of letting it turn into what was ultimately a second form of commissions, but this time they will serve to fund my personal art only. I'll also start posting from my vast collection of unpublished sketches, with my patrons getting early access. I'll post a journal with more information and the links to the opened accounts once I'm ready to begin.

Hello everyone. I've been hard at work getting through the queue from February and things are going well. I will be shifting my focus from the vet bill commissions, which now only a few remain, to clearing out the older backlog. I need to take some new work this month, but I'm not going to take as many as I did in February as I want to keep focusing on completing my existing work.

I have also thought it over and decided to raise my prices in an effort to find a more gainful price for my art. In the past I've always had to take a lot of work at once to make ends meet while many potential customers are stuck waiting for the next opening. This has meant really slow turnaround times and easily formed backlogs that further delay my income and finished artwork for my customers. So I will be raising prices to help alleviate both problems.

The current prices are not set in stone and in the future I will reevaluate them to see if I need to change them again, but any price you see listed on my visual commission guide is valid.

If you already submitted a commission form I will be going through them today and contacting people on my wait list to see if they still wish to commission me for the same ideas with the new price changes. Thank you for reading and have a nice day!

Hello everyone, It's a bit late tonight and I'm about to get some sleep but I've opened some space for new commissions. I've been working my tail off the last couple weeks and I got a whole bunch of finished art to post in the morning! I've needed to bring in some new income to pay a bill I've been postponing, but I wanted to get a bigger chunk of work done first before I reopened, and now I think I'm there.

Hi everyone, sorry things have been quiet around here. I've been dealing with a depressive slump and burnout that delayed me reopening commissions for a while, but at this point I'm tired of feeling down and not productive. Hello everyone, I want to share a new huge change in my life that affects the way I do art from now on. Over the last 6 years I’ve struggled with massive student debt that has crippled my life. I have never been able to save money as nearly all of it went to the student loan bill each month. At the end of February an extremely generous family member paid off my loan and has freed me from the hell I’ve been in so long. Once the loan was paid, I took some time to relax and enjoy being free, and it was great. The stress I used to feel every day has been lifted, and I finally feel free in the truest sense of the word.

This will mean big changes for my art. I no longer need to be desperate for work in the middle of the month and I can focus on commissions already in queue without needing to add on more work, and finally, at long last, I have time to work on personal projects I’ve wanted to do for so long. This means the NSFW comics, or my zombie apocalypse anthro setting, learning 3d sculpting, bandwagon meme art, or even collaborative projects with other artists.

I owe my commissioners a lot for getting me through the last 6 years. I appreciate everyone who has ever purchased any art from me at any point in my time with the furry community thus far. Through all the stress, my commissioning audience supported me and put up with my long commission wait times, and my bad habit of poor communication while I work. I appreciate all your support and I love you all to death. I thank you all from the bottom of my zombie heart.

While I work on finishing all my old queue, I will put out a survey on discord, my FA, IB, and Twitter to see what kind of art all of you would like me to see more of. I might even re-visit Patreon or start a subscribestar to fund projects and all sorts of new art. I decided to fully open up for commissions again. I still have a queue, but I realized I can't just keep playing catchup and then needing to take work for bills. I need to be more proactive and keep the ball rolling instead of this stop-go approach I've been doing. I have bills to pay but also I'm so close to finishing a new PC build, but I just need to get the SSD and OS. So time to get my ass to work!
