Posted 14 years agoI bought my mom a greeting card today, with a dog on it that says "I ruv roo!" But the thing that is cool about said card is that part of the card and the envelope are infused with the seeds of various flowers and can be planted in a garden or flower pot! Neato! I sent it to her at random, I can't wait for her to get it.

So.
Posted 14 years agoI'm currently waiting on two commissioned badges and an ear/tail set.
I'm so impatient. I want them all NOW. And I want to go to more meets and conventions, so I have a place to wear all of it.

Taking requests.
Posted 14 years agoI am open for some requests. The pieces will be digital and colored/shaded, but will not have a background (and if it does, it won't be terribly detailed). Only 1-2 characters per picture please. :3
Artistic nudity is fine, but I'm not accepting anything sexual. Other than that, anything else goes, unless it's beyond the reach of my artistic ability. O.o
At least ONE good reference will be needed.
I have three spots open:
1.
avalonanders
2.
icemaine

Heard this in the club scene of the movie The Social Network. I liked it so I immediately looked it up on my phone. Yes, played with bass is much better. :)

Played in a car with good bass, this song is AMAZING. It's like it envelopes your soul.

Blue Foundation - Eyes On Fire (Zeds Dead Remix)
Whose lyrics semi-inspired this picture over here, which I am proud of: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5415565/
Edit: This is the original, not-dubstep version, which is just as good as the Zeds Ded remix. Yes, it is from the Twilight soundtracks, but I only discovered that after I found the song. It's still a great song, so full of passion and melancholy. <3

Posted 14 years agoOne more day of work, then three solid days off in a row. :)
On a slightly unrelated note, I like it when little old ladies pat my hand. It's so sweet and personable, which you just don't see nowadays...

oy, some people.
Posted 14 years agoOkay, so I tend to be pretty open minded to most things, from political views to religion, even though I dislike politics and I'm not a religious person. I was brought up to respect people for who/what they are, even if I don't agree with it. But one thing I DON'T tolerate very well is flagrant hate speech.
I have been working in Silsbee all this week. I sell newspaper subscriptions and honestly I can't remember if I offered this guy anything or not, he was THAT non-descript looking. But anyway, he comes over at random to my booth and seems very irate, and says, "I have a question."
So, normally this means that a person is upset with their delivery service or the content of the newspaper itself. I ask him what is the matter. He responds in some broken hick language, and I can barely make out what he is saying, but all I catch is something about "Why was Obama elected as president?" and something about a tax increase.
So I'm like... "Um, sir, I have no involvement with politics in any way, so I can't answer that for you." He then proceeds to ask me if I know what Obama is. (Here we go.)
I stupidly blurt out, "Um, the president?" and he SLAPS MY BOOTH and says, "I'll tell you what Obama is, Obama's one big NI**ER!"
Okay. I'm in public AND I'm working, so I really have to keep my cool, but I really wanted to tear him up for that comment.
I say something along the lines of, "Well, that is YOUR opinion, but I disagree." He tells me again what he thinks Obama is, because that's what HIS BOSS says. (He mentioned "his boss" multiple times, so I think his boss = God.) I say, "Actually, Obama's father was black and his mother was white, so he's not really black at all." (Cue another rant from this guy.)
I'm just nodding at this point and trying to usher him away from my table. So he says again, "My boss tells me that Obama's a ni**er.... and guess what else he tells me? That women should wear their hair long, not show off their bodies and wear beautiful dresses every day!" Cue him storming out.
So yeah. That was my experience in a nutshell. I can honestly say in all my years of living in Texas, he was the first guy of his kind I've ever encountered. Hopefully the last.

Posted 14 years agoIf you like vampires, but aren't into Twilight/New Moon drama, two movies I highly recommend are Daybreakers (2009) and Let Me In (2010).

I live in an apartment and the parking lot is a LAKE right now., because it is basically shaped like so: \__/ and apparently the drains aren't helping enough. Also, it is continuing to rain.
So I don't know if I'll be working today.. x_x

Posted 14 years agoWas s'posed to work today... but I get to the building downtown where I pick up my newspapers and there are NONE. So I was like eff it, I'm taking the day off, but now I have to work Monday. Bleh! But my friends will be here next Tuesday from Georgia... so I am SUPEREXCITE about that. :D
A journal before bed.
Posted 14 years agoFirst of all... I am sickened by how long I have been away. Truly disgusted.
Second... life has been sucking like mad crazy as of late. I had a shitty job that never gave me time off when I wanted it, but too much time when I did NOT want it, and bitched and nitpicked every aspect of my workmanship so badly that it forced me to quit two days before Xmas.
Since then we've been broke but I found another job selling subscriptions to the local newspaper. It's okay I guess. People like to bitch to me about the paper, like it's my fault or something? I mean it's not like I write the articles or do the deliveries, people. I just sell the damn thing.
I am definitely unhappy about not being able to make it to Furry Fiesta when I so badly wanted to go. But I suppose it's for the best. In other news...my friends from Georgia plan on visiting in March so that should be a fun endeavor. At least, I hope so. I will probably still be broker than broke but maybe they'll understand? :<
Today (Feb. 24) is my birthday. I'm 27. SO OLD! Bleh. :D
And yes I did recently get a puppy. His name is Oliver and he's a Chihuahua. That brings my canine count up to three.
