one of the main reasons I have not been putting art out as fast as I like is because of my day job. someone called out all week and I had to cover shifts, leading me to work a 40 hour work week. I am exhausted when I get home, and I try to spend what energy I do have cleaning or feeding myself and my animals. today was my first day off in about 15 days and unfortunately I was not as productive with art as I'd like to be, mainly to to exhaustion. I should not be working so much this week, and hopefully I will have at least two days this week to fully focus on owed commissions. I thank everyone for their patience and understanding

so its been a minute since I've made a journal or any updates, and I sincerely apologize for that. I am trying my best to get art out to you guys at a consistent pace but ironically I have been working twice as much during this whole pandemic. I work at petsmart and it considered an essential business so we've been staying open despite everything and we have SO MANY people coming in and half of them are just fucking around because they're bored like... and to make it worse I'm literally getting super sick! don't think it's corona but you know I don't want to have a fucking cold and be more susceptible to this virus and have to be around people who may have it because they can't stand to stay home for a couple weeks. I literally feel like I'm being run into the ground, and I'm in so much pain physically and mentally that I just want to give up honestly. I'm working so many hours in a dangerous environment and my paycheck can't even cover bills and food... I'm so disheartened and sad and honestly my life was already bad before all of this, but everything just keeps getting worse. I hope you all are staying safe and practicing proper safety practices for all this. please respect people who have to work at this time, especially low income individuals like myself who are being tossed around by corporate like we're replaceable.

Hey everyone.
First of all I am so sorry for how long it’s been taking to get adopts out to everyone. Life has been hitting me really hard as of late. My roommate ghosted on me and I’ve been struggling to make ends meet with bills, food, and paying for transportation to and from my job. Before he left about a week ago I was still the only person who was working and cleaning in the house and so it was hard to sit down and get art done. I know I took too much on in the first place, and have since learned my limits as a commission artist, but all these events in my life haven’t helped.
I am moving in with someone else at the end of the month, but for now I have to pay for everything on my own. Hi guys
So I said I wasn’t supposed to be working that much this week but someone got fired so I’ve been covering all his shifts and ive been working 8hr shifts almost every day for the past week. And deapite all my work I have no money because each time I get paid, or have money from commissions, my roommate needs it for something, so I’ve had no money for food, running on nothing at work most days, and won’t even have gas to be able to make it to work soon. I feel like crying so much. I literally can’t take any more commissions because I’m swamped with the ones I have right now and I already feel so terrible that they’ve been taking so long. I’m sorry for disappointing everyone ;;

Hey guys! I know I haven't updated in a while, and I'm so sorry for that! About a month ago I started a full-time job, and it has taken up most of my time. When I'm not at work I'm usually passed out from exhaustion haha. But I have still been working on adopts and commissions, even taking my computer to work to draw during my lunch break. I just want everyone to know I'm definitely not trying to just run off with people's money ;; That's happened to me several times and I understand how it feels! Also it's just plain unprofessional and, though I'm a relatively new commission artist, unprofessional is the last thing I want to be!

Update on Lana (my new puppy!) Finding out she's a BIG chewer u.u; Gotta get her a bunch of nylon and kong chew toys so she doesn't start chewing my furniture and carpet She's been pretty good except that she had round worms ;; She's been throwing them up so I'm taking her to Banfield Pet Hospital.

Which transitions nicely because I'll have a discount at Banfield because I got hired at petsmart! I'm working in the pet care section so I'm super excited! I don;y start until some time next week, so I'm going to be working on as much coms as I can before then, because I anticipate art production slowing down significantly due to work. I'm happy nonetheless because I will be able to give lana and my gecko more enrichment and things they need, and this is my first "real" job!
