A Lengthy November Update
Posted a year agoThis journal post is all over the place, so bear with me x3 (it's more for getting everything out of my head lol)
I'd be lying if I didn't say I was going through a little art block at the moment. One common problem is I get so many ideas, that I end up doing none of them. Or at the least, I find it hard to focus on one art project because of this scattered pool of ideas I've got going.
For instance, I've been inspired to pursue pixel art for obvious reasons (ie my love for older retro games lol). I've had some basic experience, even with something as simple as WarioWare D.I.Y., and I've actually already made something pretty cool that I'll be revealing later.
I may keep doing traditional sketches too, maybe to escape art block. I did have a lot of fun with fattytober, after all. Really wish I could turn out a decent digital art piece sometime soon tho Dx
On top of all this, I actually do have some older Pokemon fat art I've drawn digitally in the past, before I've even had this account, or perhaps during the early years when I had this account, but I can't recall the exact reason why I never posted it anywhere, like ever. Truthfully, this was a lurker account for the longest time til I decided to post stuff late last year. I will say I still believe everyone should have art that they make for themselves, and for their eyes only, but maybe I took this rule too seriously back then lmao (it's not like fat furry art was/is a new thing lol)
Anywho, I've considered posting that older Pokefats art here, for all to see for the very first time lol (at least the ones that survived throughout the years; I've actually lost some of them due to a hard drive crash back then). It wouldn't be indicative of my artistic skill level, currently, of course, but, I'd only post the ones I think look somewhat decent for when I drew them back then (spoiler alert: I really liked Zoroark, Absol, Umbreon, any other dark type pokemon and just Pokemon in general back then lmao) I'll think about it (or perhaps go back a sign them before I post them).
If you even got this far into the journal, then congrats. I've mentioned before that my dragoness OC Azooku was to be Zoteca's "partner" and I used that wording on purpose, cuz I didn't quite know what their relationship should be (although that word has connotations relating to romance of some degree), but, I've entertained the idea of making them siblings instead, to maybe open up their options for other romantic relationships to other characters, but nothing is set in stone yet. BTW I really like the idea of sibling characters, especially brother/sister villains (like Gaul and Maia from Jak & Daxter, Velvet and Veneer from Trolls: Band Together, etc.). I wouldn't consider my dragon OCs villains, exactly, but again, nothing is set in stone lol I'm like super fickle :P
Lastly lastly, (I promise) I've been a bit inspired lately, to start streaming on Twitch, mostly gaming lol but that may be super up in the air (if I work up the chutzpah to do so) Hell, I might as well drop this here since I even mentioned it: https://www.twitch.tv/bfgdragon
Too many ideas, right? ...yeah, most of this journal was probably mostly SNCA, but I'm ok with just rambling in my journals, and making it public for whoever happens to stumble upon it. I'm a very complicated individual, aha. So yeah, that's it. That's the post.

Fattytober 2024
Posted a year agoJust discovered the fattytober drawing trend as proposed by MistyMistmi (which I saw on BlueSky). I decided to hop on the trend. You can follow my daily updates over on my BlueSky account (https://bsky.app/profile/bfgdragon.bsky.social) and I'll also be posting over here, by the sketchbook page rather than single days.
This is exciting for me because:
A.) I chose to draw Cynder the Dragon from the Legend of Spyro series and I have like the biggest crush for her UwU
B.) I'm doing all these traditionally in my sketchbook, which has been very relaxing and therapeutic for me to do, to give my eyes a break from the computer screen
C.) This is the first time I'm drawing a weight gain sequence, like ever, so it's a new experience (on top of drawing a digitigrade anthro version of Cynder)
D.) It's Cynder (did I mention it's Cynder? <333)
That's all, stay rawrsome and hungry my fellow dragon and non-dragons.

Posted 2 years agoLooks like I hit 100 page views. Thanks y'all ^^ I look forward to posting more art, not just my OC(s) either. I like drawing fan art of pop culture and video games too. If things slow down IRL, I'd be down to open up some art trades too. We'll see.
