I suck at keeping my FA up to date anymore these days, but maybe now that it's summer and I have been abandoned by my new roomate (whom is not a furry) for the summer and pixelsunshine will be spending a portion of her summer either searching for a new apartment or hunting tribes in Chile. So, I am going to be tackling this summer in town solo.
SO I GET TO WORK A LOT SO I FORGET HOW SAD MY HOME IS AT MY NEW JOB AS A COOK/DISHWASHER/LACKEY AT A LEBANESE BISTRO. Such fancy food. Very exotic. Much spice. It's good shut up.
I also managed to crash my friend's car, be kicked out of my apartment a few days earlier than expected, and to have a fractured tooth be ripped out while I was couch surfing before my new lease started.
The good lord has beaten me with the unlucky stick intensely, so hopefully my streak of bad luck is over.
I AM CURIOUS WHO ALL IS GOING TO ANTHROCON THIS YEAR I WILL HOPEFULLY BE CATCHING A BUS (which is located literally 2 minutes down from my apartment) UP FOR A DAY OR TWO! MWAHAHAHAHAH!

WELL HI GUYS I'M GONNA TYPE A HUGE JOURNAL ABOUT THE MESS OF MEDICAL PROBS MY LIFE HAS BEEN THESEPAST FEW WEEKS, HAVE FUN READING IF YOU SO DESIRE.
Two weeks ago my lower back started acting up again and my family had been visiting. My mom finally decides to tell me that when I fell (pushed by saiyawolf ) out of our treehouse and broke my arm when I was younger, I hit my spine. It "wasn't a big deal now" but it would "probably become a problem as I got older and I should get it checked out in a few years". Well, here we are. 14 years later.
SOOO I got to the chiropractor, cry a lot, get x-rays, and find out that the discs between my vertebrae are too unhealthy and small to support my spine. I get signed up for 12 weeks of physical therapy that I can't afford, and am given calcium pills to encourage a healthier start to growth.
I found out that I can't afford the physical therapy, even with insurance, and cancel it. Now on a program to see the chiropractor once every two weeks to have my spine cracked in a million directions. Paying to cry for half an hour twice a month; living the dream.
ANYWAY. So I'm taking 6 calcium pills a day, and everything seems to be going fine when I wake up a few days ago with a horrid pressure in my throat. I dismiss it as possible strep coming on or just allergies, but it doesn't go away after two days. It finally hit me that it's my thyroid glands.. (I have thyroid disease, wheeeee.) So my glands are swollen and acting up, and I assume they'll get better. BUUTTTTT I start waking up in a panic with heart palpitations, anxiety, and a skyrocketing heart rate that goes on for a few hours until I finally calm myself down.
My sister and I both get heart palpitations, but never like this. This is what finally sent me into a slight panic; enough to let my mom know what's going on. After some research, she found that a sudden increase in one's calcium intake can cause severe problems with the thyroid and heart.
So basically it's a choice of getting my spine back to where it should be to stop the severe back pains, or stop the heart and thyroid problems. Or just accept that my demise is coming early and I should write my will before I leave for New Jersey this weekend.

It "wasn't a big deal now" but it would "probably become a problem as I got older and I should get it checked out in a few years". Well, here we are. 14 years later.
SOOO I got to the chiropractor, cry a lot, get x-rays, and find out that the discs between my vertebrae are too unhealthy and small to support my spine. I get signed up for 12 weeks of physical therapy that I can't afford, and am given calcium pills to encourage a healthier start to growth.
I found out that I can't afford the physical therapy, even with insurance, and cancel it. Now on a program to see the chiropractor once every two weeks to have my spine cracked in a million directions. Paying to cry for half an hour twice a month; living the dream.
ANYWAY. So I'm taking 6 calcium pills a day, and everything seems to be going fine when I wake up a few days ago with a horrid pressure in my throat. I dismiss it as possible strep coming on or just allergies, but it doesn't go away after two days. It finally hit me that it's my thyroid glands.. (I have thyroid disease, wheeeee.) So my glands are swollen and acting up, and I assume they'll get better. BUUTTTTT I start waking up in a panic with heart palpitations, anxiety, and a skyrocketing heart rate that goes on for a few hours until I finally calm myself down.
My sister and I both get heart palpitations, but never like this. This is what finally sent me into a slight panic; enough to let my mom know what's going on. After some research, she found that a sudden increase in one's calcium intake can cause severe problems with the thyroid and heart.
So basically it's a choice of getting my spine back to where it should be to stop the severe back pains, or stop the heart and thyroid problems. Or just except that my demise is coming early and I should write my will before I leave for New Jersey this weekend.

Posted 12 years agoSo I got home from Anthro Con late last night and shrugged it off as an "art convention" when my friend asked how my trip was. Well, she had to go to Pittsburgh to catch a bus back home, and well...all the suitors and con-goers were out around the bus station and she decided to call me.
After demanding to know what I really did in Pittsburgh, I broke down and told her and she kept asking why I wouldn't tell her in the first place and that she loved me and she'd never stop talking to me over something I enjoyed GUYS WHY ARE PEOPLE SO UNDERSTANDING SOMETIMES.
I legitimately wept on the phone with her for half an hour after that. I really wish she wasn't going home from her visit here so I can sit down and explain it more to her before she finds the dark, horrid side of the fandom.
But guh. I love her to pieces.

FIRST I PUT ON A CUTE SUNDRESS WITH FLOWERS AND HAPPINESS.
zeroxmutt and I got brekky and ate it on tozame's porch and invited on our adventure.
Then we went to a comic store.
Then we went adventuring at the mall and bought Monster.
Then zeroxmutt proceeded to spill his Monster on an expensive cologne display...
THEN WE ALL HAD ICE CREAM.
Then I walked in on a girl in the bathroom oops.
Then we picked up overlordsteve!
Then sporkyd00m got off work so we met her at her cafe!
THEN WE ALL WENT AND HAD MEXICAN FOOD.
After that we decided to go drive by Cheat Lake.
Upon arrival, sporkyd00m and I discussed the possibility of skinny dipping. BUT BOOOOYYYYSSSS.
Found the beach, waded around the water awkwardly in a dress.
Waited for everyone except a small group to leave.
Watched sporkyd00m use a random pink floatie to cover her tatas.
Cried laughing from the sight for the remainder of the evening.
It was beautiful. Best summer day by far. Be spontaneous lovelies. And find good summer lovelies like these:
