Though I've been quiet for quite a while, I've got a new story in the works that I hope will be enjoyable. It's called Predator and Prey Forever, and tells the tale of a young mouse named Roger trying to survive in a city of very large Predators. There will be some vore elements later on, as fair warning. Why write this, you ask? Well, I started over the holidays and asked  Padfootsm for a prompt to get me going; this was the result.

I'll be posting in inecrements, a chapter each week every Monday. Comments are welcome, and read away!

UPDATE 05-26-15:

It's done! The last of the chapter has been posted along with the whole story compiled together. To all those who read it in part or in whole, thanks for taking the time, and especially to those who responded. I don't know when I'll next have something to post, so in advance I'll predict a long gap. Hopefully, when the time comes, you'll enjoy the next story I have.

For two weeks straight I've posted a 500 word piece of writing, and at that milestone I've decided to bring it to a close. When started there was no real goal either in time or in volume, and so I left that up to my own feelings, motivation, and a sense of what sort of impact the series has had on myself and others.

Frankly, an extra hour of missed sleep every night was starting to wear me down!

To those who read and enjoyed what I wrote, I thank you for your interest and hope it was deserved. For those who didn't? ...there's still time, my stories aren't going anywhere.

This was a fun and completely worthwhile exercise in writing, and I encourage any others who feel a drive to write to do the same. Change the length. Make it part of one series instead of unrelated scenes. Make it into whatever will get your words to page and keep your pen in motion.

I've been challenging myself to write a 500 word story every night. Now that I'm into the double digits, I find the ideas flowing a little less freely than before. Seeking a ready supply, and perhaps to challenge myself a bit more, I wonder the following:

Does anyone out there have any ideas they would want to see in a 500 word story?

Do keep in mind that 500 words is a lot and the idea/theme/character/setting/scenario cannot be too complex. I'll listen to all suggestions and choose which to write on.

Is something that would interest folks?

With impressive Journal #5, I, a most active poster on FA, have decided to take upon myself a writing challenge. Put out by the most talented Padfootsm was a challenge along the lines of the prevalent Iron Artist theme; numerous small works. Just what does that mean.

Every night, for as long as I can keep up, I will write a piece of 500 words and post here. The goal? Mostly to be writing, which is self-accomplished, but also to expand, improve, and enjoy. Do be sure to check out Padfootsm and his works, following a slightly different requirement of 1 -2 pages but in spirit no different.

I did indeed start this challenge when he did, but delayed in posting, so in quick succession I will catch up to the few he has already posted.

So if you like what you see, feel a burning rage against it, or anywhere in between, post a comment. I appreciate all feedback, including critiques.

Its about time I get on this ol' webpage and start networking. Posts may be infrequent, but they'll happen.

And it's snowing outside, the gentle fall giving the night a silent beauty. I love how everything becomes muffled and quiet with all the flakes in the air. It's peaceful.
