In other news, I moved back to college this past Sunday for band camp. I've been pretty busy with that all week, but it's over now and I should have slightly more free time than I did previously.

General | Posted 15 years ago F*** Apple, f*** iTunes, and f*** trying to get this iPod to connect with my PC. I've tried everything I can afford, and nothing works. If anything, it made other things on my computer stop working.
Connecting my iPod Touch to my PC makes iTunes freeze
General | Posted 15 years agoSo I recently received an 8GB iPod Touch from a friend. Software version is 3.1.3 (7E18), model MB528LL. My iTunes software is up to date. My PC model is HP G60-230US, and PC operating system is Windows 7 32-bit.
Here's where I have problems... When I connect my iPod Touch to my PC, iTunes opens, but then promptly stops responding. I need to use Windows Task Manager to close it. This also happens if I open iTunes while the iPod is already connected, or if I connect the iPod while iTunes is already open. I've tried resetting and restarting the iPod, and I've also tried restarting my PC. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
UPDATE: I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, to no avail. The good news is, my cousin's iTunes library/computer recognized my iPod without a problem, but I couldn't sync it with his. Furthermore, my iPod Nano (3rd gen) works fine with my computer.

General | Posted 15 years agoI'm on a mission to prevent my dog from getting neutered. He's about 6 months old, and (we think) he's mostly basenji. That's not my dog. This is my dog. He has no behavioral problems that aren't normal for a puppy his age.
Anyway. My parents want to get him "fixed", mostly because they're the kind of people who will do such a thing without looking into it simply because society tells them to. I, however, did some research and found quite a few sources indicating some pretty serious risks involved with getting a puppy neutered. Here some links, if you'd like to review my information:

General | Posted 15 years agoTHIS IS AN EMERGENCY!!!! Once again, my plans failed. Someone who was to share my room for Anthrocon canceled. As of right now, I will be the only one in the room, and I will also be driving alone. This is HIGHLY unfavorable, as I really can't afford it. Because of this, I am offering room and ride to anyone who's going to Anthrocon and still needs a ride and room. Contact me privately for details.

General | Posted 15 years agoDoes no one read my journal on here? In all, my journals have a combined 31 comments. Divided by 26 journals, that's not a very good number. When you think about it, that's kinda depressing. I think I'm gonna go cry myself to sleep tonight.
*sigh* well, it looks like I'm gonna be stuck working at [place] until band camp starts. Although, assuming I do get the job (which I'm hoping i don't), I'll be taking plenty of time off for Anthrocon, and various other camps I'll be participating in this summer. And hopefully I'll be able to spend time with friends to keep my sanity.
Speaking of Anthrocon, I'M STILL LOOKING FOR ROOMMATES. I've had a few people contact me, but things don't look promising. Also, none of them are local to me, and I at least want someone else in the car with me. If you're one of those people that already talked to me about the room and you happen to read this, I NEED TO KNOW FOR SURE WHETHER YOU WILL ROOM WITH ME OR NOT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I cannot stress that enough.

After getting half way through an application for a job I really don't want, I was talking to some people and mentioned that it'd be nice if I got commissions for writing stories or something. I know people have made good money from artwork commissions, but I can't draw to save my life. I prefer the Literary Arts. So here's what I need from you. I need PC help......
General | Posted 15 years agoSo I recently made the mistake of buying a generic Bluetooth USB adapter, with the intent of using it to transfer music, pics, etc. to my Motorola Rival cell phone and using my Jabra VBT185Z headset with my laptop. I was mistaken because, as I found out the hard way, I somehow don't have the proper drivers for such things. The headset works at an acceptable level, but I can't connect my phone at all to my computer. If anyone out there knows anything about computers and drivers that might be able to help, please let me know. If it helps any, my OS is Windows 7, 32-bit. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

The room is at the Doubletree, and will have 2 double beds. I also requested a non-smoking room. I live in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, which is about half an hour south of Wilkes-Barre, about an hour and a half north of Harrisburg. If you need a map, it's right near the junction of Interstates 80 and 81.
Also, because of the situation I'm in, I'll also be needing a room for the weekend.
I'm willing to split the costs of gas, parking, and the room.
