General | Posted 3 years agoCelebrating 13th anniversary with my partner by heading to Atlanta for FWA this year! Woo!
First con in over 10 years, so hella nervous. While we are going with friends, I don't know too many other people who are going (especially not feral furs). But if you happen to be going there yourself, please remember to watch your step so that you don't trip over a little fox! I'll be the awkward short guy remembering all too late that I'm only so-so being in large crowds and hiding behind my much larger boyfriend.

The season, like the rest of the year, has been busy and full of ups and downs, but even something as a simple heartfelt gift can bring a bit of joy into someone's life. These little acts of positivity can have more effect than people may realize, and even for a brief moment brought someone a smile.

Secret Santa progress update!
General | Posted 4 years agoDecember is almost (but not quite) here, and yet some people have already finished their quest to find a gift to give to their assigned recipient. Whoa! You know who you are, you awesome people! So this is a good chance to remind everyone about two important things for the actual giving part of the gift-giving:
Advice #1) The only time limit that everyone has is that they need to find and deliver their gift before December 25th. This means you are absolutely free to find and give your gift as early as you want, or you can wait until December 24th if you need extra time or wish to give your gift closer to the holidays. It's completely up to you for when you feel the time is right! Just keep in mind that even if you yourself give your gift fairly early, the Secret Santa working on your own gift might need a little more time, so please don't feel like you've been left out if you haven't received your own present just yet!
Advice #2) The best method of delivering a gift to your assigned recipient will vary depending on what you chose to give, and whether you wish to remain anonymous or not. If your gift is art or online gift card, then you can either ask me to provide them a link to the page if you want your identity kept secret, or you approach them directly to provide a link yourself if you don't mind introducing yourself. If your gift is a Steam game, you'll have to skip the anonymity and add them as a friend first, or else look into Steam keys if you wish to remain secret. Physical items shipped to an address work best with a tracking number, so that the person it is being shipped to can keep an eye out for any mysterious packages.
Whether you choose to deliver your present as secretly as a holiday ninja or offer it to them directly, just let me know when the time comes so that I can mark you off the list. And as always, I'm always willing to help if you need a helping paw or creative ideas. ^^

Halloween has passed and Winter is coming... which means it is time for this year's holiday shenanigans to begin! And what better way to do so than with a new round of Secret Santa to bring the feral community together and laugh at our own inability to properly wrap presents without opposable thumbs.
Typically the Secret Santa tradition is a fun holiday game where a small group of people get together and are randomly assigned to give gifts to each other in secret. For the Feral Secret Santa Project, we’ll be doing this game exclusively for the FurAffinity feral community!
The way this works is fairly straight-forward:

Events like these can be a great deal of fun and really bring communities together, not to mention even something as simple as a small gift can bring a bit of joy to someone’s holidays if they're going through a rough time. Last year we got a turnout of some pretty amazing folks and artists even in the midst of 2020, so we hope to see you join in to end 2021 on a good note.
This event is mostly promoted by word of mouth, so even if you’re not able to join in the fun yourself, it would REALLY HELP if you made a journal boosting this page to help people find this event. More participants means a wider range of possible Secret Santas and more fun all around. The more the merrier, after all!

That means it's almost time to begin this year's Feral Secret Santa Project!
The Feral Secret Santa Project is a game of Secret Santa to bring together the FurAffinity feral community. Anyone is welcome to join in the fun with no fees, watches, or favorites required. You simply sign up to join in, wait to be assigned as someone's Secret Santa, and then work to find that person a good gift in secret while another anonymous person does the same for you. As the name suggests, it will be catered to the feral community but not exclusive to it, as anthro allies are free to join in the fun too.
Last year was a hit and we all had a fun time, so I hope to reach out to even more people this year. Signups will open on November 1st and the full details will be announced at that time. In the meanwhile, I hope you all enjoy the last of the spoopy month and have a happy Halloween! ^^
(Also, for those who know me personally on Discord or Telegram, sorry if I seem slow or quiet to chat with! Full-time employment combined with prepping this sort of event keeps a fox busy and distracted, so I haven't been ignoring you! It's more likely I'm either busy at work or simply don't have anything I think is interesting enough to bother ya with!)

An awesome bird keeper / artist is going through a pretty tough time due to an almost literal evil step-parent stealing their family savings and making a run for it. These are funds needed not only to help them with daily necessities but to support their livelihood of falconry and helping exotic animals. This should be an absolute outrage to anyone who loves animals as much as the furry community does.

A friend in need of help...

At the risk of embarrassing a certain someone or coming across like an unwanted solicitor, there's something important I'd like to share with you guys. A friend is going through a rough time financially due to sudden car issues at the worst time and is in need of help.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help them. Any little bit would go a long way in helping them out of a bad spot, whether donation or just spreading the word. If you have anything extra that would just be spent on porn, or any other friends/groups that might be willing to help to share this with, it would be greatly appreciated.

It's an incredibly small milestone compared to more active people, but pretty heartwarming to me given that I'm relatively unknown and mostly only post up pictures of my fox.
To celebrate the occasion, I'm gonna host a raffle for a full-body commission from
anyoto!
Here's how to participate:
1) Entrants have to be watching both me and Anyoto. New watchers are welcome, but unwatching afterwards blocks you from any further events.
2) The winner agrees to Anyoto's terms of service and will receive a solo picture with character and setting of their choice. Anyoto gets artistic freedom for all other elements; go check them out to see their specialties!
3) Comment to this journal with something containing the word "fox" and a link to a ref sheet for the character you wish to use to be assigned a raffle number. Be creative! :3
4) Posting a journal with a link to the raffle will earn you an additional raffle number.

During this year's FeralCon, we got a lot of positive feedback for the idea of a Secret Santa event to bring the feral community together. Typically the Secret Santa tradition is a fun holiday game where a small group of people get together and are randomly assigned to give gifts to each other in secret. For the Feral Secret Santa Project, we’ll be doing one exclusively for the FurAffinity feral community!
The way this works is fairly straight-forward:

• Once the deadline for signups has been reached, we will shuffle all names on the entry list around and randomly assign each participant to be the Secret Santa for someone else on the list. Only you and the event moderators will know who you’ve been assigned to.
• After all participants have been assigned to someone, they will have until December 25th to research their gift recipient, find a fitting holiday present, and anonymously deliver the gift to their assignee while waiting to see what their own Secret Santa has in store for them! Gifts can be anything from artwork, Steam games, even items off of Amazon or more; your imagination is the limit!
Events like these can be a great deal of fun and really bring communities together. We even have an optional Discord server for people to join and chat with their fellow Secret Santas to get good gift ideas! With a rough year like 2020 has been for some folks, we could use some positivity to end the year on a good note, so it’s our hope that even something as simple as a small gift could bring a bit of joy to someone’s holidays. This event is mostly promoted by word of mouth, so even if you’re not able to join in the fun yourself, you could help spread the joy by sharing a link to this page with any friends or groups that you think may be interested. We’re also always on the lookout for any volunteers who would like to help moderate (especially to help with the Discord server), just in case we get a higher turnout than expected.
