First of all sorry for the lack of a activity or updates for the past few days. I wasn't feeling very well and I had to take a few days away from work and from a lot of things to get some rest and spend some time with friends.
Right now I am feeling better and back at work. I will be taking care of pending stuff when I get back home tonight.

So I have been a bit away for the past week mainly because of so many things happening in my life. To give you people the run down of what's going on:
- I have changed job a few months ago and it's way less boring than the last one which means it takes more time away from me
- I'm currently planning the construction of my house which also takes a lot of planning and meetings with people and financing plans
- I have taken the time to visit family more often since I am now able to after I moved closer to them
- I had some serious sleep issues for the past 2 weeks that didn't help with the overall energy I had to spare for other activities. I managed to correct it a bit by taking some me time.
I thank all of you for your patience. I know I have a few notes waiting replies. I will try to give everyone an answer today.
Commissions are still progressing and I hope to get current ones during this week and the next.
Once again sorry for the lack of updates lately I will try to make it up to you by resuming streams very soon. (probably on Wednesday since I still have a few things to take care of before)

I have been thinking a bit about my work and i really would like to get some constructive and serious feedback about what i do wrong and how i could improve myself. I am already aware of some of my shortcomings but i feel like getting some advices from people would help me focus my efforts.
Also even though i am not the most self confident person in the world i would really like that people honestly tell me what they think about my work.
If you are able to provide me with some feedback or know someone who could, i would be really grateful.

News Update - Commissions , Pricing, Projects

So I think it is time to kicks things up a bit so here are the latest updates and news from me:
Commissions ! New Queue system
Yes commissions are going to reopen and in a new fashion. So far i was opening a few slots and once they were filled i would not open new ones until the current queue was clear. I was doing this mainly because i didn't think i could handle the work load. So now it's going to be a rolling queue. The queue will be 10 slots, yes 10 rolling slots. This means that as soon as there is a slot cleared it will be automatically opened for the grab. I will keep the list updated as often as possible and will try to find a way to keep track of them in a more efficient way. Maybe if you guys know a good software that can do that it would help.
Pricing
Yeah yeah i know. Not the best thing you'd like to see but i haven't touched them for about 2 years and i feel like i have improved on my work in a way and i want my prices to reflect that a bit. Don't you worry i'm not going to double them and it will not impact ongoing commissions and current negociations with some commissionners. Plus it will help me fund a special project i will detail later in this news update.
New pricing will be :
- sketches : $20
- inked : $30
- Colored (flat) : $35
- Colored (shaded) : $40 (this can include a basic background)
-- extra character : +$5 / additional character
I will review them every 6 months on the basis of commissionners feedback and art improvement (if any).
Projects
So here's the big one... No not that one you silly minded people :/
I have many projects that i'm finally going to start. Mainly a comic project that i'm starting to work on. I have managed to put together a story, started working on references and even thumbnailing some pages. It will ask for a lot of effort and time that is kinda scarce but i really want to make it happen. It would be a boon for me as it will bring me experience for this kind of project and when i'm finally started, they will just roll out even faster (i hope :S)
Other than that, i'm starting to put a lot of money on the side. Mainly commission money that i get from you guys so i can invest in a WACOM STUDIO PRO 16"
Yes, i want to invest in better equipment but i don't want to bankrupt myself in the process so every cent that i receive from commissions will be used for this. The goal is to have $3000 saved for this... Yes that is a lot of money for a piece of hardware and you guys will probably say that there are cheaper alternatives.
But the fact is that my current hardware is getting kinda old and it's starting to show. So i figured why not go for the top range stuff that can replace what i currently have and also be able to bring that everywhere with me. It would mean i would be able to get more work done which means i could have more time to make my projects a reality (yay!)
This funding process will be tracked on my page so you guys can see how far we've gone. I will allow people to donate tips to help achieving that goal but i really want to fund this through commissions because i really don't like beg for money. So I hope you guys will be interested in taking commissions from me :3
That is all for today. It's already a lot but i feel like i can make it and the only way forward is by challenging oneself. Hopefully this will be a great learning experience.

as you probably have noticed i was not very active for the past few weeks and there are 2 main reasons for that:
First main and i guess the biggest reason for this lack of activity on my part is that i finally broke my tablet's pen so i am unable to do work until the replacement i ordered get there. And since apparently this specific model is not sold in europe anymore i have to import it which takes some time. Fortunatly it should arrive in about a week (fingers crossed)
Second i was on holidays from my work and i really needed to take time away from home to cool down and rest. I sort of disconnected from a lot of my regular activities to get some real me time.
On another note, i took this time away to improve more on my drawing so i hope you will be able to see some progress when i'll post again. Also i am refining a story i really REALLY want to bring to life so i will definitly focus my efforts on this.
That's all for now. I will see if i can upload some traditionnal work for now so you can see i'm still alive and kicking.

Moving to a new place + broken pen
Posted 9 years agoNo i'm not leaving FA. I'm just moving to a new flat and that mean taht i won't be active for at least a few weeks since i won't have an internet connection until next month (cause that's how long it takes my provider to provide me it seems)
Also i can't even draw while waiting because i broke my tablet pen and am currently waiting for a new one so yay
