I know I have a bunch of pictures and stories I did in the last few months that I never got around to posting, just need to get the motivation and time to track them all down and share them here. They're probably on a computer. Or saved to a note file on my phone, who knows.
I also need to get into making more art, though I think I'm going to be dropping taking commissions for a bit and just do what I want instead. Got a bunch of ideas I'd wanted to do and never got around to.
Also probably going to close that patreon down, never really got much interest and now apparently they're not allowing any lewd stuff that's not explicitly consensual, which is kinda not the way I do things. Anyone know of other sites I could post stuff on instead?

Finally got moved into a new house that isn't falling down. Got my computer fixed and able to get internet access. And then a few days later got a call from family, one of my grandparents has been rushed to hospital and may only have a week or two left if I want to see them.
Nothing else is allowed to go wrong this year.

Hey, so I'm back again.
For people that only know me from art/writing and aren't on my regular social medias (most of you), the last few weeks have been hectic. I've had dental surgery, got a sudden unexpected extra university exam sprung on me that needed a couple weeks intense study for, then got kicked out of my home and had to run around finding another, moving all my stuff in and buying new furniture, and then had computer and internet issues to fix. So yea, it's been a mess. I'm back online and stuff as of earlier today, but also kinda worn out, so as much as I really want to start catching up on overdue stories and half finished drawings right away, I might need a short rest first.

Anyway, point is, I took on a huge long list of writing commissions last year and with one thing and another never quite finished them all, there's still an odd last few in various stages of progress that need finishing off, and I'm realising that I'm just not good at them. Specifically, I can't write other people's stories for them. People come to me with ideas set in worlds of a TV show I've not seen or book series I've never read and I just don't understand the setting well enough, who everyone is, what they want, how things work. People have characters they want written about but I struggle to get their personality down right. People come to me with interests that loosely connect to what I do, but not quite, and I don't have the right experience or the right words to describe the situations. People come to me wanting 16,000 words written but only have a very simple plot to stretch out over them all.
That, and I'm earning about $4 an hour even if I don't count the time I spend staring at the screen in confusion.

Some of the ideas people come to me with result in some lovely stories that I enjoy working on and many people enjoy reading, others are just a constant struggle. I'm not sure what to do.

That's my last ever university exam finished off, no more spending all my time studying for them, as promised I'm getting right back into the drawing and writing stuff now that I have a bit of free time again, so look out for stuff actually being posted here. Hopefully I'm back for a good long while this time.

I'm wanting to learn to use my fancy new drawing tablet thing, but I'm not very good with it yet, so I'm reluctant to use it for any of my actual commissions and such. Instead, I thought I'd take on a bunch of free sketches, to be done in a randomised order as I slowly get more practise and hopefully better quality art out of the thing. I've only been able to fill 7 out of 20 slots so far, so who else wants one?

You may have noticed me uploading a bunch of content all at once, after an extended break and slow progress prior to that, so here's what's been up lately:
1- working a strenuous, physically demanding job that kept me worn out much of the time
2- working in my spare time to develop skills and example products to go into fursuit making as a new career instead
3- quitting my job and launching into commission based work with all the complications that involves
4- studying for my physics degree and attempting to understand all the complex equations and complete assessments for that
5- volunteering my remaining spare time to helping out with various local furry events, and other non furry clubs and groups too
6- also trying to get some website projects up and running as well
This means working on drawing and writing stuff in the scraps of time I can manage, prioritising paid commissions over free content, and prioritising sending stuff to commissioners over getting it ready for uploading on here, as well as multiple breaks from the site entirely
So yea, it been busy and exhausting and keeping me burnt out a lot of the time, but hopefully with the job gone away and the university nearly over, it'll get easier from here.

Hey, so, this November is NaNoWriMo month, for people that don't know about it, it's a high speed writing challenge I've taken part in, with varying levels of success, since 2008, and I thought what might help motivate me to pour out loads of content eagerly and enthusiastically is to try and write a whole massive novel of growthy/swelling/ballooning smut. Would be looking at a single story about three times the length of any massive ones I've done so far, which means it'd need a lot more characters and plot lines all mixed together.

I thought, what might be nice was to announce it as my 750 watcher milestone project, but it looks like, even with picking new watches up pretty fast lately, I'll still be a little short of that by the end of the month. So, why not just do it anyway and ignore the numbers. I'd need to invite people that want to be involved to send me details of their characters and what might happen to them, what interests they have, what their abilities are and so on. I'd also want to suggest a few options of theme and setting and let people say what they're most interested in, but we can work on that over the next week or so.

Who would be interested in taking part in this? All for free, though donations are appreciated, and I can't promise anything specific, I'll try and fit everyone's characters and interests as best I can around each other.

Apparently I forgot to do this last month? A shame as things have been going a lot better the last few weeks, so I'd have had plenty to celebrate. Guess I can do so now instead, though. Over the last few weeks, I've been setting targets and schedules and meeting them, clearing through a lot more of my commissions, both drawing and writing, than I have done over the past months. Things are looking good to clear out the whole backlog of stuff I owe people over the next weeks.
I've still had a few days where I've struggled, either due to my regular job taking up all my time and energy, or due to a lack of motivation, but a lot less often than usual. This also applies to the fursuit making work I mentioned earlier, I've been getting good progress on both making stuff faster and to a better schedule, and improving the quality of work too, so money is coming in now, all I need is more regular and reliable commissions and I'll have a nice source of income from the work.
Over the rest of this month, I'm aiming to clear my last drawing commission slot, make a nice start on the things I've had planned for a while to be doing once that's clear, and similarly with my writing commissions, though that might take a little longer to finish off, it'll be a stretch to have it done by the end of the month, but still possible. After that, I'm aiming to take a short break from commission work, do some stuff I want to do, and maybe try out more YCH auctions and such. Maybe one day I'll even get one of those patreon things set up and figure out a way of getting paid to draw the things I feel excited and motivated to do at the time?

Following on from the previous post, July did indeed not go great, with real life work having to take priority and taking up far too much of my time and energy. I was able to progress through my drawing and writing commissions list each week, but not by nearly as much as I had wanted. Got one story written and edited and another well underway, but my queue remains too long, and people have been waiting too long for their commissions. Similarly drawing commissions are being worked on slowly but steadily, I've started worrying that what drawing I am doing is being rushed a bit too much to get it done faster. Elsewhere, the story is the same with my fursuit making efforts, each week a bit more done, but not much, occasionally a fursuit finished, a commission received or item sold, but not nearly enough to live off that income, so I still need to spend most of the week working a normal people job for money.

Coming into August now, and it looks like more of the same. Last week got off to a great start, working quickly and efficiently through a whole list of tasks, but it didn't last. Should be able to finish off the current drawing project this month and get started on the next, even at this reduced speed, and clear out the oldest part of my writing queue, leaving only the newer commissions to go. I was planning for this to be the month I quit my job and live off fursuit commission income, but that isn't viable at the moment, maybe next month...

A while back, I tried posting regular weekly updates on here, I think the reason they didn't work out is because there wasn't really enough to say each week, so I'm trying again with monthly posts instead.

June has just finished and I'd consider it a successful month, I was finally able to finish off a particularly large writing commission and quickly move on to completing two smaller stories as well, and get back into a regular schedule of drawing, some of which has been posted to this page already. Looking forward to July, things are not as optimistic. Over the last week or so a combination of issues at the company and a co-worker deciding they don't want to come in to work any more means I am expected to work extra hard and take on more hours and on more days to compensate, meaning I have a lot less time and energy for the things I want to do. Drawing and writing commissions are still progressing along the queue, but at a slower rate, fewer uploads and longer delays on the schedule, but hopefully this is a short term thing.

Oops, forgot to update this last week, not that I missed much with it, being away for a bunch of that time.
This time, though, been getting into a good rhythm with the fursuit making work, got plenty of supplies delivered for more too so barring disasters that'll carry on going well. Just need to find more storage space while I wait to finish and sell each one.
Getting through the last parts of my writing back-log now, nearly caught up with it all, that's two new stories edited and uploaded, and another one written and waiting for some final changes, while the next is well underway.
Drawing has been going a little slower, where people haven't been waiting six months for stuff it's been a slightly lower priority, but finding time to work through some big projects, of the kind that'll be at least another few days before there's anything to show for them.

This week has not been the most productive in terms of drawing projects, instead I have been pushing harder to clear the still going back-log of writing projects. Messaging commissioners with outline plans and confirming details of ideas, setting out page after page of text, whether on my home computer, out and about on my laptop or on my phone during work lunch breaks and such, editing, checking back with commissioners on early drafts, discussing changes and additions, and so far not getting any of the different stories mixed up along the way.
Also been working away on this fursuit head, after a bit of slow progress on making it look the right shape and getting all the details neat and tidy, and a reminder of why I plan for a good chunk more time in my schedule for them than the bare minimum just cutting and sticking all the parts seems like it would take.
Off work next week, which means relaxing, more energy, more flexible schedules for fitting things in, but also plans with other people, as much as those are still possible, so we'll see how that goes.

Been a busy few days on the fursuit making front, and as with last week, you can keep up with the details over on my other page at  kitutal, things are looking good for making real money from this, which means less time working anywhere else and more time for drawing and writing, at least in theory?

Anyway, that's one short story finished editing, approved by its commissioner and uploaded in two different variant endings, and two more short stories written, sent off to commissioners and awaiting any changes and additions before uploading, so that's a pretty good result, just need to keep that up again for the rest of the month.
In terms of drawing, I've picked up the unfinished growth drive sequence again, not many more pages left to go on that, started on the additional page to go with the recently finished comic, and been working on other stuff that might take a while before I can post it here. Pretty soon, I'll run out of things to do any need to start advertising for commissions again.

Work this week has mainly been focused on this fursuit project that turned out to be a lot more complicated and difficult than I'd expected.
Aside from that, been wrapping up loose ends with writing, editing, character and plot line changes, bonus alternative ending, things like that, and working steadily through a couple of large, detailed pictures that may take some time to finish.

I need to remember to post fursuit pictures and stuff over at  kitutal, I don't use that page enough any more.

So, forgot my family was coming over to visit, that means a bit less of the drawing and writing done than I'd hoped, but I have two stories nearly ready to upload.
Also been sorting packing fursuit stuff into boxes ready to post, and working on making more, one day maybe it'll be my main source of income. Also been planning what to draw for now this comic sequence is finished, got a few ideas ready and waiting.

Might be a few days late forgetting to post this update. The good news is, I managed to sort out sales of a couple of practise fursuits, not for a lot but money is not a big stress thing for a bit.
Finished off a comic commission I owed for a while, I'll upload that when I get a spare moment to myself, other drawings for after that still need to be planned.
Writing is going on a bit slower than I would prefer, tackling the backlog of commissions I built up over the past few months, but getting there, bouncing between editing one and writing the next at the same time.
Other projects have been put on hold while I sort those three and get myself into a more regular working schedule

Start of my new schedule, not off to the best of starts as real world work keeps getting in the way, but I've managed to nearly finish an old comic series I left part done for months, and have been steadily getting stories written and working through my backlog of commissions. Plan in the future is to sketch out drawing commissions on fridays and start work on them on monday, we'll see how that goes next week.
I've also been working on selling fursuits, which might one day earn enough that I can leave that job that uses all of my time every week, possibly...

I'm also going to take this opportunity to say that I am putting my writing prices up from £1/500 to £1/300 words. I get a lot of comments about being cheap, and a lot of extra tips on top, so hopefully this'll work out ok.

All going well, I'll be a bit more active on here this year. Looking back over my uploads, I posted 34 items in 2019, that's about three a month on average, compared to 48 in 2018, mostly in the last half of the year. In spite of a hectic christmas thanks to my work, I've cleared out most of my backlog of half finished stuff, and can now start on the list of stuff I said I'd do but never got around to starting.

I've set a schedule that I'd like to follow, if I can keep finding the time and motivation. It includes content for my non-lewd furry profile as well as non-furry projects, but all going well I will still be sharing art and stories here a lot more often than recently. I'd love to be able to learn to draw faster and easier, so I can share all my ideas with you as and when I have them, rather than weeks of work later, we'll see how that goes as I practise more.
