I'm just a person. Nobody noteworthy, but I try to keep good company. Drop me a line on Steam at [nW][BOOM]Impasse if you like. I'm currently restricted to a pretty terrible laptop, so no gaming for me, sorry. It'll be a while before I have access to a gaming computer.
I'm very music-oriented. I spend most of my time listening to music quite studiously as well as playing whatever instrument is within reach. I consider myself skilled at guitar and bass, but I'm thinking of picking up piano and maybe digging up my old cello from the basement. Along with listening and playing, I spend time studying the construction and mechanisms of various instruments, usually keyboards as those are the most complex.
My favorite bands are Yes, Rush, and Pink Floyd. Yes has a bunch of offshoot bands as well that I really enjoy (Rick Wakeman, anyone?). Sometimes I'll find myself listening to some more recent and more mainstream music such as the Strokes or the Killers, and I occasionally enjoy some Tool and Dream Theater (the only metal bands I've ever liked, but to be fair I've never listened to much Metallica or Iron Maiden). Recently, such post-rock bands as This Will Destroy You and Do Make Say Think have made their way into the music I listen to frequently.
Aside from music, I'm interested in various academic things such as mathematics and computer programming. I do in fact regularly read out of math books. I'd really recommend James Gleick's 'Chaos: Making a New Science'; it reads like a novel and is very interesting, even to people who aren't nerds like me. I also play D&D sometimes, go figure.
Music equipment which I use regularly:
Ibanez electric bass (not sure of model)
Ibanez 'Artcore' electric guitar (semi-hollow, very nice)
Epiphone acoustic guitar (I found this 70s gem in the basement, it was my uncle's)
Behringer guitar pedals: tremolo, digital delay, blues overdrive
Peavey bass amp (works just fine for my guitar, at least, but the treble does seem rather shallow)
Yamaha MIDI keyboard (1994, it's pretty terrible)
Lowrey upright piano (hasn't been tuned in forever)
Ah, but I digress.

You know, I've written quite a bit
I don't write much. Aside from this journal, anyway. Here, I write far more than I should probably bother. I have no watchers, largely because I don't put out much art, and no readers, largely because I have no watchers. The function of an FA journal, it seems to me, is to inform watchers and readers of the writer's general circumstance, perhaps informing the aforementioned watchers and readers of why there's not been much art, or perhaps providing some entertainment. I have no watchers or readers, and my journal's not very entertaining anyway.
Generally, journals are for personal bookkeeping, so I guess the name "journal" is a bit of a misnomer, although there's no better word for it.
