I don't consider myself a furry, but I have at least been mildly in the fandom for over 10 years. I don't have a specific fursona or animal I associate myself with, but I do have a lot of 'furry' characters.

First and foremost I like art, and I am on FurAffinity to watch people who are more active here than on deviantArt. I have odd tastes. In art the main things I enjoy right away are lighting/shading and movement or flow, and then character design or figure and emotion.

There are a number of things I enjoy in furry artwork and stories. I enjoy the designs of different species, how to make them move but still be animal like or not just humans with fur. I enjoy the idea of the merging between instinct and what civilized culture teaches people to behave like. And while I don't view myself as a specific animal, I do appreciate and respect people who can find an animal they associate with. There is more, but that is at least a starting point.

Side note: There has been some confusion about my gender on this site. Honestly I prefer "they" as a pronoun for myself, although I will not be offended if you refer to me by my real gender if you know it. Please don't be offended if I refer to you as "they" instead of "him" or "her" if I am unsure of your gender.
