So slight downer journal alert. Nothing major like IRL stuff or anything, just a bunch of dumb minor stuff that is all adding up.

First off, with the end of the year coming I typically look back on my art through the year to make a "favorite pictures of the year" image. Well I have usually done this with 12 images and I would in fact have to pick my favorite images out of a list of more than 12. This year, man there are maybe 9 images I like enough to deem as favorite pictures I produced.

I don't know what the deal with this year has been but there was a lot less inked images, a lot more just shading an old drawn picture, and just, bleh.

Now that's not to say I hate all the art I produced, after all these 3 I am quite happy with:

Furthermore there are STILL a lot of things I DO want to draw, but more often than not I just don't feel like drawing at all. There are 13 things from Hollow Knight Silksong I want to draw, some of them I REALLY want to do something with, but it just doesn't happen.

Pose variety in my art is STILL garbage. One may say practice different poses, I can't practice if I don't even feel like drawing at all. I do want more visual variety in my art as I know I have a ton of pictures with the character just standing at a 3/4 angle with a hand on the hip and one hand waving.

Also I still do want to make my own game. But I was working on sprites for an enemy and just kind of mentally crashed and haven't worked on ANYTHING involving art for my game since October... I DO still want to have this whole "make a video game" thing a reality. But like with my art the drive just kind of isn't there.

Another dumb thing, which stung a little, I didn't get much on my birthday. Now obviously I can't beg for all sorts of art, but the one day I wish I could have gotten something I only got one picture. Now I appreciate the picture I did get, but with a big list of things I would have loved to see drawn and nothing. Boo hoo I know.

I've also been asking for less art-trades, so that also reduces the amount of art I get from people. Not necessarily stuff of my OC's because as mentioned above there is a bunch of stuff from Silksong I would love to see art of. I mean, I am no different from a lot of people, we wanna see art of the characters we like. It sucks being into non standard stuff.

At least I have been enjoying Hollow Knight Silksong. I am planning on doing playthroughs with focusing on using one Chest exclusively. I have Reaper, Architect, Witch and Shaman left. Shaman I will have to skip a LOT of bosses as it isn't accessible until Act 3.

But, I can't JUST sit around playing video games. I would still like to try to make art, and make stuff for my game. But man, just stupid brain being how it is...
